Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning turned around, seeing a nearby mountain. "See that mountain?" she asked, not waiting for a response. "As physical training or punishment, commanders make you carry your own body weight or more on your back, and make you climb up and down that mountain all day." That was the torture.
Riku glanced over at the mountain, and then he furrowed eyebrows. Yeah...that's bad, he thought silently, lifting a hand to scratch his cheek. That would definitely be a punishment. "...I see."

Light turned around, seeing the rest of the cadets gathered behind Riku. And they looked frightened. "Lucky for you, the weights would get in the way of today's training. So I'll leave the torture to one of your other officers." She saw one of the cadets smile faintly at that, but she remained serious, turning around and starting to walk in the direction of the mountain. "Let's go."
Riku blinked when Light started to walk off, and he heard the rest of the trainees walk past him in pursuit of her. He lifted his hat off his head and ran his hand through his hair, composing himself before he set it back on is head. Lightning...

Feels like I'm leading a pack of stray puppies, Lightning thought, continuing to walk on the ground. But at least she could focus on Gravity Bombs today. She hadn't had time to prepare anything else, but this would take up a majority of the day. The rest of the time, they could do push-ups or something. She distracted herself with her thoughts of her duty instead of thinking about the boy at the back of the group.
I really have lost her... Riku thought gravely, staring down at the ground as he walked behind the other cadets. The day before was awkward in some spots because Light broke up with him...but Serah made it easier, and so did Snow when he visited his fiancee. But, Riku had to remember that he wasn't dating Light anymore. I have to focus on training.

The walk was long; maybe an hour or so. And eventually, some of the cadets gathered the courage to speak to each other. Lightning didn't protest it, not really caring. They could talk all they wanted since this wasn't a dangerous situation. She adjusted the bag on her shoulder as they climbed up the inclined ground, the weight starting to bother her a little. But they were almost there.
Don't be a sap, Riku told himself. Focus. He had to be strong. If he wasn't, he really would lose Lightning. She wouldn't want him, and he wouldn't blame her. If he was weak, he didn't want attention from someone who could possibly love him. It would just be embarrassing.

"We're here," Lightning said, walking into an open area on the side of a cliff. They had just climbed almost half a mountain and some of the cadets were breathless. She arched a brow slightly at them. Seriously? This is what I have to work with?
Riku stopped behind the other cadets, though he fidgeted with his water bottle in one hand. It was hard, seeing Lightning and not being able to touch her like he used to, or talk to her like he used to. If he did, he would get "punished". If that was how it was supposed to be, he would have to deal. As usual.

Lightning set down her bag, kneeling down by it and opening it. "Hope you all have good reflexes," she said, reaching in and grabbing one of the grenades. She tossed it to a cadet and he barely caught it, but the rest were prepared. She threw out one to each person before she stood back up, shutting the bag and putting it over her shoulder.
Riku examined the gadget in his hand, having caught it with only one. He wasn't sure how these things worked, but he was sure "Officer Farron" would tell them what to do. It was her duty, after all.

"That's a gravity bomb," Lightning said, seeing all her students examining them. "You deploy it when you want to jump high distances. Once it hits the ground, it creates an aura, and when you land in that aura, it softens your landing as if you only jumped a few feet off the ground. Got it?"
"Yes, ma'am," Riku said along with the other trainees, their voices blending together. He looked up at her from where he stood in the back, next to a few other young men such as himself. So, what? They just had to jump off a cliff and release this thing? Easy. He'd done enough cliff-diving and such in his past that this would be a piece of cake.

Lightning nodded faintly. "When it first impacts, it also affects the gravity for those within that distance," she continued. "The people within the seven-foot radius lose their balance at first because of it, and then when you land in it, gravity is lost on them completely. They'll be flung up a few feet in the air and float in the blue aura. That aura will last thirty-seconds tops, so it's best to attack any enemies in that area before the affect wears off."
Riku caught the others nod out of his vision, but he was still staring down at the gadget in his hand. Pull the pin and release the bomb, he told himself silently. That was what it took, in mid-fall. Or so he assumed.

"Allow me to demonstrate," Light said, putting the other strap of the backpack over her shoulder as she started right for the edge of the cliff. Down below, their was another even level on the mountain. That was where their next training would be. She pulled a bomb out of the side of the bag, stopping right on the edge and facing the recruits she waved to come right to the edge with her.
Riku glanced up in time to see the others walking forward, so he followed suit. They all stood in a line along the edge of the cliff, waiting for further instruction, or to at least see Lightning perform a demonstration.

Lightning turned her head and looked directly at Riku. "After me, all of you will follow suit," she said. "You'll be the first. Then I don't care about the order." She directly said for Riku to go first because she could tell some of the recruits were scared of the heights. But Riku's confidence, as a "newbie", would help them feel better.
Riku nodded once, his eyes on Lightning's from where he stood a few yards away. Right. It was just like cliff-diving, so it would be easy for him. As for the others, he could practically feel their fear of being so close to a cliff.

"Here's a simple recap," Light said, being a surprisingly kind officer. "Pull the pin in mid-air. Throw the bomb, and it'll activate as soon as it hits the ground. Land in that area and the fall won't hurt. This is something that's hard for even complete novices to screw up." She said that to reassure them, since they seemed like scared cadets. Regardless, she nodded once to them before she jumped off the cliff, flying head-down with confidence towards the ground.
The other cadets leaned forward slightly over the edge of the cliff to watch Lightning, but Riku kept his better posture, a small smile forming on his lips as he watched the woman he loved perform her job. She was as confident and determined as ever.

Light threw her bomb in the middle of flight, the bomb forming its blueish-purple aura when it impacted. She did a flip in the air and landed smoothly in the center of it, on one knee and one foot so she was balanced. Easy. She stepped back away and looked up, able to see the figures that were higher up. They were too high to read their expressions, though, the fall pretty great.
Riku heard gasps and sounds of awe leave the other cadet's lips, but he only smiled crookedly. Good job, Light. She made an impression, and he would have to prove that he could do something similar. Of course, he couldn't outmatch the Officer, so he wouldn't overdo it.

The aura from the gravity bomb disappeared, Lightning catching that out of the corner of her eye. She saw some pebbles scattered over to the side, and she knew that she could show Riku how the bomb messed up gravity for even the pebbles. She walked over, standing right in the midst of them. "Next up! Aim right for me." She'd jump out of the way before the bomb hit.
