Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku nodded once, and he felt the other cadets' eyes on him. He glanced down at the bomb in his hand before he grasped it firmly, grunting as he fearlessly jumped off the side of the cliff. He fell head first, his eyes on Lightning as the wind whipped through his short hair. He pulled the pin out of the bomb when he fell a good distance and threw the bomb below him, right for Lightning's position.

Lightning did two back flips to avoid the bomb, the object impacting the ground where her feet had been before. Nice aim, she thought, glancing up at the other cadets before she looked back to her boyf--Riku.
Riku did a small spin, flipping at the same time when he saw the ground quickly approaching. He landed on his feet in a crouched position inside the blue aura the bomb provided, his hand supporting him slightly. It didn't hurt at all, because the bomb worked. Riku stood up calmly then, his eyes finding his Officer.

Lightning walked over to her cadet, seeing the pebbles in the aura floating all around Riku. "See how the rocks are stuck now?" she asked. "It would be a dramatic effect just like this if the pebbles were humans." Weight didn't make a difference, in other words.
Riku glanced at the pebbles only briefly, his eyes instead focusing on the woman before him. He nodded once, a small grunt leaving him. Concentrate, Riku, he told himself, fighting any urges to smile, smirk, or even boast. He couldn't do that here.

Lightning watched the aura disappear, the pebbles dropping to the ground once the gravity bomb wore off. "Now," she said, shifting her gaze to the sky when she caught something flying in. "Move!" she ordered Riku, shoving him away and moving herself as well when a student threw his gravity bomb right at them since he was already in midair. I didn't tell him to jump yet!!
Riku stumbled back a few steps, but he caught his footing. Thankfully, his stumble allowed him to get a good distance away, more than the seven-foot radius from the bomb that just dropped. He caught his breath and looked up at the next cadet flying in, surprise evident on his face.

Lightning glanced over at Riku to make sure he was out of the radius first before she looked back to it, seeing the cadet land on his hands and knees inside it. "Idiot," she fumed. "I didn't tell you to jump yet!" That could have been bad if she and Riku were still in that radius.
Riku glanced over at Lightning when he heard her fury, and he already knew that being on the other side of the conversation wouldn't be pleasant. The cadet was in for some trouble, and by his face, he clearly knew it.

"Stay up there!" Lightning hollered up to the rest of the cadets. She had to take care of this guy first. When the aura faded, she stepped forward, bending down and grabbing the front of his uniform before she lifted him up by it, the young man on his feet in front of her. "Next time, don't act until I say so. Got it?" The frightened soldier nodded frantically in silence, and Light knew he had a reason to be afraid. She was pretty intimidating when she had to be.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed in interest, seeing how rough Lightning was being. He'd seen her bad side before, but not like this. He had to remember not to get too far on her bad side, since he was already there.

Lightning released the cadet's shirt, having more mercy on him than most leaders would. "Just know this: if you made that mistake for anybody else, you would have been climbing the mountain all week. Today, you're lucky. Now, step aside. And don't do anything stupid." The cadet nodded again, muttering a "yes ma'am" before he went over to where Riku was. "Next!" she called, stepping over a little so they'd aim closer to her and not the stupid recruit and Riku.
Riku glanced at the cadet that came up next to him, but he didn't say anything. The guy messed up, and he had to suffer the consequences. If that was embarrassment, then so be it. Riku kept his arms at his sides, his hands curling into fists as he watched Lightning do her job, admiring her from where he stood.

Lightning's anger faded away as she guided the rest of the cadets down one by one, not taking out her anger on them. That would have been unfair. The last one landed pretty well, and she nodded to him once in recognition. "Not bad for the first time," she said to the cadets who were gathered by Riku. Apparently they admired him for bravely going first.
Riku heard various "thank you, ma'am"s from around him, but he only kept his aqua eyes on the woman he still loved. She looked somewhat pleased, and that was alright. He wasn't sure what to expect, anyway.

"Next is another form of gravity manipulation," Lightning said. "You'll all get the devices, but I'll show you how they work first. Follow me." She turned around and started walking, an area nearby with fake people standing around. All of them were pinned into the ground, and target practice for what she was about to perform.
Riku followed after Lightning, standing in the front of the rest of the group alongside a few other cadets. They walked in one big crowd, though there weren't that many of them to begin with. He kept his eyes on Light, though, something he couldn't help but do the whole day, even this morning before arriving at the training camp.

Lightning stopped, motioning for the recruits to stay back a few feet. She set down her backpack and reached into the bag on her leg, pulling out two small circular devices. One went on the thumb, and the other went on the other finger involved in snapping. "These are highly-sensitive gravity-bomb devices," she said, putting them on her fingertips. "Snap your fingers and it'll create a gravitational imbalance only on you. Use it right and you can do things that gravity would normally prohibit you to do."
Riku tilted his head slightly, his eyebrows furrowing. Why hadn't he seen Light use any of this stuff in the past, when they fought battles together? Was this only stuff that she could use here? If so, that didn't make much sense, since she was part of the military and should have had the freedom to use the weaponry as she pleased. Riku blinked, straightening as he focused on her again, and the lesson.
  • Author
"Like I said, it's very sensitive," Lightning said, ignoring Riku's look. "If the force is disturbed at all, then it'll ruin the device and stop you from doing whatever you were doing. Today, I'll only be demonstrating how to use it in battle. It takes a lot of practice, so don't expect to get it down today."
Riku stared at the two pieces of the device on Light's hand, wondering what exactly this thing did. She did just explain it, but he was curious to see what it was like in action.

Lightning stepped towards the fake people that were standing upright in a circle, one at each point on a compass. North, northeast...there were eight figures total. "It's best to use your own gravity to offset the gravity of another," she said. "Like this." She snapped her fingers and a blue glow of energy traveled over her body, a few more pulses of energy showing. She grunted and pushed herself off her feet, shifting her position in midair so she kicked off one dummy and then pressed against him for momentum, flying at another person and doing the same thing. She kept that up until she did all of them, and once she was done, she did a few flips in the air before she landed back in the center of the circle where she started, the device turning off once she touched the two devices on her fingertips.
Riku blinked slightly at the scene, though there were gasps of awe as well that left the other cadets. Neat, he thought, his hands down at his sides in loose fists. It couldn't be that hard...right?
  • Author
"Who wants to try first?" Lightning asked, fighting the urge to smirk. New recruits were always fun to watch with this drill. They couldn't even make it to one dummy most of the time. This was a lot harder than she made it look.
Riku glanced from left to right, not hearing or seeing anyone step up. Guess that leaves me, he thought. He lifted a hand slightly. He would do it then.
