Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The thought of Lightning guided Riku's eyes toward her automatically, the boy still eating his apple. He remembered what she said earlier, about him not doing "this" to himself. She meant torture himself, and he had to admit, she was right. It was hard to be with her and not be able to interact with her like he used to. But he would make it. He would show her that he could handle this.

Lightning finished her lunch in a few minutes, standing up once she was done. "Everyone get ready to move," she said, picking up her own bag and putting it on. "We're running back to town." Literally.
Riku stood up along with the other cadets, having just finished off his lunch when Lightning spoke. He glanced at the others, and he hoped they weren't too worn out; he didn't exactly want to see Light get mad again. That was actually a little frightening.

"Go down that path right there," Lightning said, motioning to it with her hand. "It'll connect with the one we used earlier today. I'll be at the rear pressing you forward if anyone starts slacking. So somebody can start running." They couldn't wait for her to lead them.
Running? No problem. Riku slung his backpack over his back and adjusted his hat so it wouldn't fall off, the eighteen year-old then starting forward. He heard somebody start right after him, and then more footsteps in the dirt. Riku had a high stamina because of his years with the Keyblade, so he could handle the run back. As for the others...he wasn't sure.

Lightning ran at the back of the pack, sure that they would have problems once they were closer to their destination. But this wasn't really what she had in mind for them; they just needed to get back to town and get some supplies for something. Depending on the condition of the crew, they'd either train there or run back to the mountain.
Riku focused on his breathing as he ran, also losing himself to his thoughts as he followed the path. He had to admit, seeing Lightning at work was...pleasing. She looked good, and he saw even more of her strength during it. Riku felt himself grow more attracted to her, even if she was technically his boss now.

Light shouldn't have been surprised when one of the guys who had been talking about her earlier purposely lingered in the back of the pack, with her. He was pretty in shape, too, because he had the energy to flirt with her a lot of the way back. She didn't really humor him. She didn't want to, and even if she did, work wasn't the place to have this kind of relationship.
Riku heard some chatter behind him, though he swore Light's voice was one of them. Regardless, he knew that not everyone here was weak or stupid, so he would have to be equally strong. After all, that was his goal, to be stronger. He had to be, for the future, and for Lightning.

Lightning and her group made it back to the town eventually, on the beach. "Go fill up your water," she said to them, only slightly breathless since she had been jogging most of the time. "Then meet me by the weapon's shed." She started over there, sure her boys would hurry up and get to her as soon as they could.

Riku caught his breath as he walked with the others to get some more water, though most people passed him. One cadet, however, walked alongside him, and Riku nodded to him slightly in greeting. But what left the guy's mouth aggravated him, and shocked him.

"Officer Farron. She's quite a looker, isn't she?" the guy said, smirking at Riku and elbowing him a little. "Tough too. Great little package, if you ask me."

"Yeah...'package'," Riku said, though a bit stiffly. He should have suspected something like this to happen, because Lightning was a very attractive young woman. And the fact that she wore a skirt probably didn't help things, but...Riku was still defensive. He loved her, after all.

I heard that, Lightning thought, opening the doors of the shed that held all types of weapons inside it after unlocking the doors. That was the same guy who flirted with her on the way back. She was only slightly bothered by his comments, since she heard it all before. But having Riku here made it weird, even if they weren't going out anymore.
Riku was almost relieved that the guy walked away after that, not sparing anymore words. But he did glance back at Lightning. That was enough to make Riku tense with aggravation. He calmed himself, however, getting more water while he had the chance.

A few of the boys were already over by her since they finished with their water, and since they asked what they would do next, Lightning told them. "I'll be evaluating your skill with your weapon of choice. Go ahead into the shed and pick whichever weapon you want to use." They would face off against her individually.
Riku drank some water as he walked back with the others, hearing Light give the orders as he made his way over. Weapons? It was true that there was a holster for a gun or two on the belt of his uniform, but if there was an opportunity to use a sword similar to the Keyblade, he wouldn't pass it up.

Lightning stepped away from the shed, seeing boys come out with different weapons. The boy who flirted with her earlier only put on a pair of gloves, saying that he liked to fight with his fists. Other boys came out with different weapons, like swords, guns, and nun-chucks. She would have some fun facing off against these guys; she wanted to see what they were made of.
Riku walked out of the shed after a few minutes, twirling a blade in his hand. It was the same size at Way to Dawn, and the same weight. It would be just like his Keyblade, so he would be most comfortable with this one. Of course, he would always be more comfortable with his Keyblade, but he couldn't use that here.

Lightning led the boys to an open area on the beach, by the water. "This will be an evaluation of how skilled you are with your weapons. I'll face you each one on one, and while I do, the rest of you should observe to see what tactics do and don't work in battle. You'll go first," she said, pointing to the boy who liked to talk about her behind her back. She'd lower his ego a bit.
Riku glanced over at the guy that Lightning pointed to, recognizing him immediately. He was interested to see how this went. Riku tapped the broad side of his sword against his boot, eyes going to Lightning. Show 'im who's boss.

Light was annoyed with the guy earlier with what he said about her, but when he stepped up and said he wouldn't fight a girl, she was ticked. However, she kept that buried beneath her calm, confident exterior. He did fight her eventually, and she fought back without a sword. She was trained in hand-to-hand combat too, after all. And even though this guy was strong, he wasn't as nimble as Light was. Ten-fifteen minutes into the fight, Lightning got a hold of his arm and swung him around, throwing him into the nearby body of water. That was as much humiliation as she would give him, not wanting to appear unfair to the other cadets. It actually could be seen as a mercy that she threw him into the cool, refreshing water, anyway. She exhaled a breath once the fight was done, standing upright. That was fun.
Riku fought the laugh that wanted to leave his lips, and he pressed them together to make sure he didn't laugh at all. Other cadets, however, released sounds much like "ooh"s, which were obviously because of how humiliated the cadet now was. Serves him right.

After that fight, the cadet came back into shore and they all discussed the fight. What the good parts were, what the bad parts were, and what changes could have helped things. Lightning went through fights with each of her cadets like that, fighting back with her sword against all the other weapons. Now they were wrapping up the discussion from their previous fight. It was time for the final fight to begin. Lightning against Riku.
Riku glanced at the cadet that was walking back from his fight with Lightning, but then he looked to the Officer herself. It was his turn, and he fought the smile, which would be one of bitterness if expressed fully. He remembered her bugging him to spar with her a few months back. Now she would get her chance.

Lightning looked to Riku, able to read his expression well. She knew what he was thinking. Just a few months ago, he refused to fight because he was afraid he'd hurt her. And now, he was being forced to do just that, and in front of a crowd. She was a little nervous herself.
Riku walked through the sand, knowing that he would have no problem maneuvering around in it; he grew up on an Island, after all. He bet that would be an advantage of his against the other cadets, but against Lightning, he wasn't sure. With his back to the others, he looked at her as he continued to walk to his spot. "Don't hold back," he mouthed, his smile now gone. Riku had to take the heat. He signed up for this.
