Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"You too," Lightning silently mouthed in return, getting into her stance with her sword by her side and an arm horizontally in front of her stomach. This would be an interesting fight. Riku couldn't hold back against her, and she couldn't hold back against him. She saved this fight for last because she knew that if she faced him first, it would have taken all her energy. Now, it was time to fight.
Riku furrowed his eyebrows, able to read Lightning's lips clearly. The other cadets would have mistaken the expression for one of extreme concentration and determination, since he lifted his sword to stand in his stance, one hand out in front of him slightly. He didn't want to do this, but there was no other choice.

C'mon, Lightning thought, seeing that Riku wasn't making a move. Would he go first, or would she have to charge at him? Either way, they couldn't just stand here. It was time that she finally found out how well she stood up against her ex-boyfriend.
Riku closed his eyes briefly, seeing that he would have to initiate combat. He was scared of hurting Lightning, but this was part of the job, hers and his. He also had to remember that this wasn't the Keyblade or his world; he couldn't use magic or fling his sword wherever he wanted--it wouldn't come back to him if he did. Riku opened his eyes, which immediately found Lightning again. He then tightened his grip on his sword, running forward the few feet between him and the girl he still loved. He brought up his weapon, swinging horizontally at his new boss.

Lightning set her feet in an instant and used her sword to block the blow, grunting slightly at the force behind it. She was strong enough not to give under the pressure though. She wouldn't let Riku hold her and have another burden on his shoulders.
Riku was close to Lightning now, his sword against her own. He kept the stern look on his face, though he wasn't sure if it reached his eyes. Regardless, he held the gaze for one more second before stepping away to swing again.

Lightning deflected Riku's second attack, swinging herself. This battle against him would last a while, but that was alright. She was the one who could say when it was over.
Riku saw the swing coming, and he quickly brought up his sword arm, deflecting the attack with his own weapon. The contact created a small amount of sparks, but he didn't pay attention to that, focusing on his mission right now. And that was to defend himself against Lightning's attacks.

The fight between Lightning and Riku lasted a while, and instead of becoming a tool for training, it became a spectacle for the boys watching. It was time for this fight to end; Light was worn out from all the other battles, and sick of fighting Riku in general. They were equals.
Riku jumped back ever so slightly, barely dodging one of Light's swings at his chest. Sweat trickled down the side of his face, the boy working hard to defend himself. He wasn't holding back, and neither was Lightning; she managed to slice his arm once, though he didn't let it bother him. Even if this was supposed to be a test, it felt like something more than that.

Light grunted, closing the small distance between her and Riku. She bent down and swept her feet along the ground, knowing that this time, she could trip him up. He was getting slower on his feet since he was worn out.
Riku's eyes widened, a small grunt of surprise leaving his lips. He fell on his back, the wind getting knocked out of him from the fall. He kept his sword tightly gripped in his hand, though there wasn't much he could do when he was stunned like this.

Lightning stepped forward and pointed the tip of her sword at Riku's throat, her breathing ragged from the fight. Her expression, and the cheers from the boys behind her, seemed to get across the message just fine. This fight is over.
Riku stiffened slightly at the blade pointed at his throat, the boy's chest heaving with needed breaths. Light didn't hold back, and he was somewhat glad for that. He looked up at her from his spot on the ground, loosening his hold on his sword. Fight's over, he thought, relaxing a little now that the message had gotten across.

Light "hmphed", pulling back her sword and turning to face the rest of the cadets. The day was over already; in an hour or two, the sun would be setting. "Your first day of training is over," she said. "Be back tomorrow and you'll receive instruction from Lieutenant Amador. Once your weapons are returned to the shed, you're dismissed."
Riku sat up once Light turned around, grunting subtly at the movement. He stuck his sword into the sand and lifted his hat off his head, wiping his arm across his damp forehead. He would definitely need a shower.

Lightning watched the rest of the cadets start walking towards the shed, and she knew it was her duty to go make sure everything was put back in the right place. But she might as well have another reason for going. She turned slightly and grasped the sword Riku stuck into the sand, holding onto it as she started towards the shed. She'd put that away.
Riku glanced up when his weapon for the day was pulled from the sand, his eyes then going to the young woman who took it and was walking away. He sighed softly, staring down at the sand. He was exhausted, physically and emotionally. And he doubted it would get any easier tonight, or the rest of the time he was here.

Light went to the shed and put the sword back in its place, seeing all the cadets return their things and put them where they belonged. They seemed like a good group, but she probably wouldn't train with them again. She walked over to the water nearby, grabbing one of the water bottles sitting nearby. She filled it and then dumped it over her head, sighing softly at the cold water. That was refreshing. But the walk home with Riku wouldn't be so nice.
Riku pushed himself up from the ground, placing his hat back on his head just as a breeze blew over him. He knew he would be sore in the morning, but that was how these things went. He would be fine. He was tougher than this...he knew it.

Lightning stood with her back to the area where Riku was coming from, her eyes on the higher ground where her house was. She was waiting for him because he didn't know where her home was yet. Simple as that. It was too painful for her to be near him after everything. She still...loved him. Way too much.
Riku started across the sand, having caught his breath and composed himself after the loss. But it was no big deal; Lightning was a great fighter, and she could take on the opposite sex, even guys older than him. "Ready," he called lowly, his voice showing his lack of energy from the day's activities. He was ready to head back.

"Alright," Light called softly, glancing over her shoulder and seeing Riku. She started walking when he was a few steps away, the water bottle sitting where she found it. Once she got home, she'd take a shower. Hopefully Serah made dinner already.
Riku walked a few steps behind Lightning, not pushing his luck to walk next to her. After all, they weren't dating anymore. Even walking next to her felt wrong.

The walk home felt longer than usual, especially because Light was so tired. Riku was worn out from that one battle; she was worn out from eight total. There were seven other cadets she fought. If she and Riku were still together, she might have asked him for a piggy-back ride. She pushed herself too hard today.
