Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku glanced up from the ground after a little while of walking, seeing Light's house up ahead. He'd only been here a day, and he felt a little out of place. He guessed that was to be expected, given the circumstances.

Light walked into her house ahead of Riku, the door not slamming on him. She saw Serah in the kitchen, and her sister saw her too. But when she tried to initiate conversation, Lightning faintly shook her head. "Later," she murmured, starting towards her room. She needed to take a shower and then collapse.
Riku shut the door behind him, watching Light disappear around a corner. But he walked into the living room already open to him, and he sat down with a small sigh on the couch. For once today, he had some sort of comfort. Riku leaned his head against the back of the furniture, closing his eyes. He was exhausted.

Serah wiped her hands on a towel, walking out of the kitchen that was exposed to the living room and heading towards Riku on the couch. "I'm surprised the two of you came home together," she stated. "Wasn't Lightning supposed to be on patrol today?"
"Lieutenant Amador had her train the rookies today," Riku said, keeping his eyes closed for the moment. She got stuck with him, and he wasn't sure she was very happy about it.
  • Author
"Really?" Serah asked in surprise. "Huh. Somebody must have called out sick." Lieutenant Amador normally gave Lightning some kind of notice if she had to train people. But...if she was with the rookies, that included Riku. That must have been odd.
"Mm," Riku replied, lifting his head and opening his eyes. He spotted Serah next to the couch. "She didn't exactly go easy on us our first day." He smirked weakly, reaching up and taking his hat off his head; he wasn't used to wearing one, so it got kind of aggravating sometimes.

"I'd believe it," Serah said with a weak smirk of her own. "She has to make an impression on you guys. And with her promotion, she can't screw up. She has to watch her back for a little while." Other people would try to sabotage her and take her place.
Riku ran his hand through his silver hair, trying to get rid of the hat-hair from wearing his uniform all day. "Makes sense," he said with a small nod. He wouldn't sabotage Light's job, ever. He had an idea of how important it was to her.

"...She'll need your support, Riku," Serah said. "No matter what she says." She knew that her sister loved Riku, and she knew why she broke up with him. But she was wrong to give up on their relationship like she did.
Riku lowered his gaze to his lap at that, staring at the uniform he still wore. "I'll try my best, but I can't make many promises," he admitted softly. He then looked back to Serah, continuing. "I can't exactly be myself in front of other cadets." He couldn't act like he knew Lightning personally, on any level at all. It could make others jealous and spark some uncertainty about fairness. He couldn't do that to Light.

Serah shook her head softly. "I'm sure you'll find a way," she said quietly. Riku couldn't have been personal, really, but he could be a good, patient, and helpful student to Lightning. And a good example to the rest of the cadets. That would help her a lot, if she ever trained them again.
"Mm," Riku hummed with a small nod, smiling ever so slightly. He would try, that was for sure. He wasn't about to give up...not like Light did.

"And it's not all about what happens on duty," Serah continued, smiling faintly as well. "You two'll have time around the house. She'll soften up soon enough." In fact, by the end of the night Lightning should have been better. Whenever she was physically exhausted, she was easier to get along with.
Riku lifted his arms to rest behind his head, linking his fingers together. "You're her sister," he said softly. "I'll take your word for it." Serah saw more of Lightning than he ever had, given their connection. He would trust her judgement.

Serah smiled confidently, nodding. "Better go get cleaned up," she advised. "It'd be harder to get on Light's good side if you stink." She smirked slightly, only joking. But Riku knew where the bathroom was, so he could go shower anytime.
"Heh." Riku smiled, lowering his eyes at that. For once, he actually felt a little embarrassed. Yeah, he did need a shower. That last brawl with Lightning on the beach took a lot out of him.

Serah smiled, turning to go back to the kitchen. Dinner would be ready within the hour, so hopefully Lightning and Riku would be composed by then. She wondered how the former was doing, since she appeared pretty tired earlier.
Riku glanced up when Serah left, and he sighed before lowering his hands and pushing himself up from the couch. He left the living room and traveled down the hallway to one of the few bathrooms in the house, closing the door behind him. He needed to get cleaned up.

Once Light was done with her refreshing shower, she put on sweats and a T-shirt, not caring about her appearance. Why should she, right? She came out to the living room and crawled onto the couch, laying down across it with the television turned on softly. Serah would wake her once dinner was ready.
Riku washed up, his shower only taking a few minutes. He made sure that he didn't smell, since Serah pointed that out, before he left the bathroom. He hung the towel up to air dry, the boy walking out of the bathroom as he ran a hand through his damp hair. Now that he was out of his uniform and in a pair of comfortable shorts and a grey beater, he felt better, though he was still tired.

Light tiredly looked at the TV, unable to sleep. She still had a lot of work to do tonight. She had to fill out paperwork on all of the people she trained, since she evaluated their battle skills. She'd be up all night.
Riku approached the couch, unable to see that anyone was in it from his position. But as he grew closer, he saw that there was someone in the spot where he slept the night before, and he set his hands on the back of the couch. Leaning against it, he stared down at Light. "...How you doing?" Riku asked softly. She looked exhausted.

"Tired," Light responded, too exhausted to bother Riku about the tone he used and the question he asked. It was like they were back together when he spoke like that. "I pushed myself a little too hard for my first day back." Actually, that was an understatement; she pushed herself way too hard.
"Mm." Riku didn't know what else to say but that. He thought about saying that Light didn't only push herself today, but that would have been dragging her down about her work; he didn't want that.
