Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Light shut her eyes, her head resting on her arms as she laid on her stomach. She had been fine until the last few fights. She should have stepped out and let the recruits fight each other instead. But it was harder to do an evaluation that way, at least for her.
Riku looked away from Light, not wanting to be rude and stare. Instead, he gazed at the television, and that was when he felt himself become a little sad. The last time he watched T.V. was when he was on the Islands, too many weeks ago. His home was still gone.

"If you want me to move, tell me," Lightning said. Whether she liked it or not, Riku was still a guest in her house. And she found that she couldn't treat him like trash even if he was intruding on her life. She loved him too much.
"It's alright," Riku said, keeping his eyes on the television. He was actually thinking about heading back to the beach not too far off, just for old time's sake. He wanted to watch the sunset.

"Dinner's ready," Serah called from the table, setting down the plates and drinks. Dinner was for three tonight; Snow couldn't make it. So, she would have to ease the tension between Riku and Lightning.
...It'll have to wait, Riku thought, glancing toward the kitchen when he heard the call. He'd go out after dinner. He released a soft breath and pushed himself away from the couch, briefly glancing at Light before walking to the kitchen to take his seat.

Light sighed softly, slowly pushing herself up off the couch. She wasn't quite steady at first, but she recovered her balance a moment afterward, so she was alright. She started towards the kitchen, not really hungry.
Riku walked into the kitchen, seeing the food that was set on the table. "Looks good," he said, glancing Serah's way. He knew how good of a cook she was, either from Light telling him in the past or him experiencing it himself the day before, when he stayed for lunch. He doubted dinner would be a disappointment.

"Thanks," Serah said, sitting down on the side where there was one plate. Now Lightning would have to sit next to Riku. When her older sister came into the kitchen and saw the seating arrangement, she only briefly glared at her before she took her seat. Boy, she really is exhausted.
Riku was already in his seat by the time Light sat down, and he glanced at her out of the corner of his eye. He then looked to Serah, arching a brow slightly so Lightning couldn't see. She set it up this way. Nice play.

Serah winked at Riku, giving him a smile of encouragement. I want things to work out between you two. So, she would do whatever she could to help them get back together. She may not have seen Lightning happy with Riku, but if she was this depressed after breaking up with him, then they really did have something special.
Riku smiled crookedly before glancing down at the food spread out, it all looking delicious to him after such a long day. He hadn't had a good meal like this since his mother cooked dinner back at the Islands. His smile faded slowly at the thought, but he pushed past it, focusing on dinner for now.

Serah watched Lightning get some food and put it on her plate, but Serah didn't go for the food right away. "Tell me about today," she said to her sister, curious. What did she do, since she didn't have time to plan.

Lightning shrugged faintly. "Didn't do much." She lifted a hand and grasped the glass of water in front of her, lifting it to her lips and taking a drink. They only did three exercises today; that wasn't much at all.

"...Except show up every cadet in a one-on-one training match," Riku finished for Light, glancing over at her before he took a bite of his food. She took on eight guys in a mock-battle, including him, and defeated them all. That was something.

Lightning glanced over at Riku before she looked back to Serah, seeing that her sister wanted to know more. She sighed, setting down the glass. "Skill evaluation," she said. "So now I have to fill out papers on their already-learned abilities." It would take all night.
Riku didn't say anything, continuing to eat in silence. Skill evaluation, huh? He hadn't exactly known that was what it was about, but he guessed that was the point.

"Explain more about that," Serah said to Lightning, though she already knew everything. Her sister knew that, and the look she gave her proved that. But Serah wasn't asking for her own sake. Her gaze told Lightning to just spit it out.

Light sighed again for the second time within a minute. She shut her eyes, explaining. "At the start of training, an officer tests each cadet to see how strong they are without any formal training," she said. "So, this test determines what their future training will be focused on and which officer will be their mentor."

Riku furrowed his eyebrows a little at that. He never had any formal training...and honestly, he was one of the best out of the recruits. So, where did that leave him? He would probably get split up from the others, and he would have a different mentor. But he'd never had a mentor, so that would definitely be something new.

"Cadets train with their mentor once a week," Light continued. "The rest of the time, they'll stay with the other recruits and work on other types of training. Physically, ability wise, battle strategy...stuff like that. I'm sure your officer tomorrow will tell you more about that." She probably wouldn't have the job again.
"Mm," Riku hummed, half because his mouth was full, and also because he didn't know what else to say. So he wouldn't see Light during the day anymore? He guessed that would be alright...for her, and for his concentration.

Lightning opened her eyes, looking up and seeing Serah. Happy now? I talked to him. She grabbed her fork and scooped some food into her mouth, feeling her fighting spirit coming back to her the more Serah messed with her. One of these times, she would push her too far.
Riku swallowed his food before glancing up at Serah, wanting to get his mind off his thoughts. "How was your day?" he asked. She asked about Light's and already knew about his own, so he thought it right to ask.

"It was good," Serah said with a small nod. "I got a lot of work done with packing up my stuff and preparing the wedding." Soon, she would be wed to Snow and living with him. But Lightning wouldn't have the house to herself; she wouldn't let her sister kick out Riku.
"Cool," Riku said with a small nod, smirking a little at the thought of Snow and Serah together. They were almost opposites, at least from what he saw. "When's the wedding?"
  • Author
"A month," Serah said, smiling at the thought. She was so excited to be with the man she loved for the rest of her life. The one who didn't give up on her even when she was a l'Cie.
