Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku shrugged. "I don't," he confessed, stopping in front of Lightning...but not too close; he knew she wouldn't like that. Even if he didn't know how to disarm someone, he knew at least a little of hand-to-hand combat. He even taught Sora in the past. He'd be alright.

Light furrowed her eyebrows slightly, not happy to hear that. That was terrible. "We'll have to work on that then," she said with a small nod. She could teach him, since she was excellent at attacking and disarming people whether she used a weapon or not.
Riku nodded, a small hum leaving his throat as well. Alright. That didn't sound so bad, though he knew it wouldn't be easy. Things here were never easy, at least in his eyes.

Lightning forced herself to get back on track mentally, instead of thinking about how helpless Riku was in many ways without his Keyblade. This was a dangerous world; he had to be stronger. And since he was refusing to leave, she supposed she would be the one to help him grow in strength and knowledge. She wouldn't let him get hurt. She lifted her sword, ready for Riku to try out his new sword.
Riku tightened his grip on his sword when he saw Lightning get ready, so he ran forward, swinging again. He could move faster with this sword, since it was lighter.

Lightning and Riku sparred with him using the lighter sword for a while, until she said that she had seen enough with it. He got faster, and he seemed to have more confidence with the lighter sword. It may have been easier for him to swing and move with that sword, but the hard impact of it was lost. Sure, it could do some damage if it actually cut her skin, but against her sword, it didn't make her stumble or be stunned. "Okay."
Riku released a breath in a huff, feeling sweat trickle down his temple as he stood upright. He lifted his sword up a little to look at it, though he wasn't very fond of it. He knew that he could easily swing it, but he noticed how little of an impact it had. Riku frowned slightly and turned around heading back to the table to get another.

"Don't bother getting another sword," Lightning said, walking over to the table herself, a little breathless from deflecting Riku's attacks. "You've already shown me the extremes; that's good enough." Now there was just one more sword she wanted him to try, and it was the one in her hand.
Riku stopped at the table, glancing behind him at Lightning as he set the sword back where he got it originally. He nodded to her slightly, but they hadn't been at this for more than an hour. Were they done already?

"I want to see you fight with something other than a usual sword," Light said, stopping next to Riku and holding her gunblade so the tip was pointed at the ground. She held it out to Riku, her expression saying it all. I want you to try my gunblade.
Riku lifted an eyebrow slightly, glancing down at the gunblade before he looked back to Lightning. He had to be honest: he hadn't expected this. Light's gunblade? Riku looked back down at the weapon again, reaching for it and taking hold of it with his own hand, his fingers briefly brushing Light's.

Light got chills at the touch, but she was smart enough to pull her hand away. She grabbed a sword that was the same weight as her gunblade and stepped away, getting into her stance. She was ready.
Riku briefly glanced at the weapon in his hands, not having enough time to admire it in his grasp since Lightning was already set. He wasn't sure how this would go, but he would try it out. Riku glanced at Lightning before suddenly spinning, swinging his arm as he came back around. Time to go at it again.

Lightning and Riku went at it again, and it was weird not having her own sword in her grasp. But Riku was doing surprisingly well with it, even if he didn't know how to transform it into a gun. He had some kind of fire within him as he fought with that sword...was it because that was the weapon that she used? He was connected to her somehow again?
Riku cried out, swinging with his strength, his grip on the gunblade firm. Light kept dodging and deflecting his attacks, and he kept dealing them. If this was his training, he would do his best to succeed. Besides, just holding this weapon gave him strength. It was weird, but it was similar with the Keyblade in that way. That was one of the reasons why he liked it. The other...well, that was easy.

Light muffled a grunt, losing her footing when she blocked the gunblade. But the force made her stumble back a step or two and she lost her balance, falling onto her bottom. Well, that was surprising.
Riku stopped, his arm at his side as he held the gunblade. He panted, his eyes narrowed in seriousness as he looked down at Lightning. But then it faded, the boy blinking when he realized what just happened. Whoops.

"...Huh." That was all Lightning could say, looking from the gunblade in Riku's grasp to his face. She hadn't expected him to do so well with the weapon. Maybe she should look into getting him one for himself.
"Uh..." Riku looked from Lightning to the blade in his grasp. "...Sorry," he said, lifting a hand to the back of his head. He hadn't expected that to happen...

"No, uh, it's fine, " Lightning said, setting a hand on the ground and pushing herself up. "I wasn't expecting you to do so well." Most people had trouble wielding a gunblade for the first time.
Riku lowered his hand from the back of his head and fought the urge to smile proudly. "Came naturally," he said with a small shrug. He hadn't expected it either; it just happened. He turned the gunblade in his grasp, the tip pointing towards the ground as he held it out for Light to take.

"Hm," Light hummed softly, grasping the sword. Like when he took it from her, her fingers brushed his briefly. It made her sad. The more she saw him in training...the more she loved him. He was so charming and witty and strong, and devoted to her. She couldn't believe he joined the Guardian Corps just to be with her. Wasn't he frustrated with her? Didn't he want to give up?
Riku blinked at the touch, his aqua eyes lifting from his hand and Light's to her face. But then he pulled back, lifting his hand to the back of his neck as he cleared his throat, glancing away. He wasn't used to awkward; he was used to easy and smooth. This wasn't it.

Light put her sword away, glancing up at Riku's eyes before she tore her gaze away from his. Were her eyes actually moist? ...Yeah, they were. She took a few steps away, looking down at the waves coming in. She needed to decide what to do with Riku next.
Riku lifted his eyes from the water nearby to look at Lightning, the boy still massaging the back of his neck. "So...what's next?" he asked, referring to training, not the other thing that was hanging around in the back of his mind. They couldn't be done with today's agenda already.
