Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Yeah, definitely," Namine agreed with a nod, looking over and giving Roxas a soft smile in return. If things were ever peaceful again with all her friends, then she would be able to relax and pick up that hobby again.

"Riku..." Kairi said quietly, her voice uneasy and hoarse because of all her crying lately. She glanced from him to the islet, and she saw him look in that direction. He would know what she was talking about.

Riku turned his head to see what Kairi was so nervous about, and when he saw the back of Sora's head, he blinked, turning his eyes to his redheaded friend. She didn't want to go over there...did she?

Sora's ears picked up on a soft voice now that Roxas and Namine weren't speaking, and he looked over his shoulder to see Riku and Kairi frozen on the bridge. He felt frozen as well, just looking at them.

Kairi met Sora's gaze, and she took a step back when she thought she saw the hair on his head turn black. She felt Riku suddenly grasp her wrist, keeping her there, and she looked up at him. Kairi shook her head urgently. She didn't want to go over there...she couldn't...

"Kairi," Riku said softly, keeping his grip on her firm. He knew what was wrong, because she'd told him during one of her crying episodes earlier this week. But...she couldn't just walk away. They just got here...and she wanted to leave already? Riku turned his head, his eyes finding Sora's. He blinked, eyebrows furrowing when he realized why Kairi was wanting to leave now; Sora saw her. Riku looked back at the girl. "I dunno..." Something didn't feel right, just leaving now that he realized they were there.

Sora forced himself to turn around, though he noticed Namine glance behind them and see Riku and Kairi. She didn't greet them, and neither did he. He shut his eyes and locked his jaw, his hands gripping the tree. They weren't coming over...were they?

"Riku, please," Kairi begged quietly, glancing over at the Paopu tree to see Namine looking at her now. She lifted her eyes back to Riku, trying not to show her embarrassment for doing this right now. "Don't make me. I can't..." She was terrified, after so much of this. For more reasons than one.

Riku kept his grasp on Kairi's wrist, and he saw the actual fear in her eyes. She was still seeing Vanitas? Even after Sora was gone? He looked at her for a second, but then complied. "All right," he agreed, nodding once. They would go.

Sora sensed Namine turn around to face forward again, and he overheard the conversation between Riku and Kairi. They were leaving; both of them. He swallowed, realizing that he should have stood up to Aqua when he had the chance. He shouldn't have come home to this.

Riku's hand released Kairi's wrist, and the redhead didn't hesitate turning around. She walked quickly back across the bridge, wanting just to go home. She couldn't do this.

Riku turned his head to look back toward the islet, frowning slightly. He didn't like avoiding Sora, but he and Kairi had their reasons. Some other time, he thought quietly, turning around and walking back across the bridge.

Sora was going to talk to Aqua tomorrow; he would say that he was wrong to come home and he was right about his friends. They certainly weren't acting worried now, just walking away after seeing him. He felt his eyes get moist, the teen knowing that their friendship was lost.
Riku caught up to Kairi after descending the steps to the shack, and he walked with her until they got to the dock. He helped her into her boat and untied it for her, before doing the same with his own. He then paddled back with her, knowing that tonight the sunset wouldn't be witnessed by them.

Namine looked to Sora beside her, and she felt her expression change at his. He looked...miserable. And she knew why that was. She lifted a hand and set it on his shoulder, though he didn't react to that. She looked across Sora to Roxas, wondering if he noticed what just happened.
Roxas's eyes were currently focused on the ground, having been that way since he heard the conversation between Riku and Kairi. So...something really was wrong, huh? The blond turned his head to look at Namine, having felt her gaze on him. All he could do was shrug his shoulders weakly.

Namine caught onto Roxas's gesture and she shifted her gaze back to Sora, her sad eyes on him. She wished she could help; she knew that it was hard for him the way that Kairi had broken up with him. Kairi had told her it had been quick and without explanation, but that was all that Namine knew. Poor Sora...
Roxas followed Namine's gaze to Sora, and upon seeing his friend's expression, he looked back out at the water. He didn't really see the beauty in it, though, because he was worried now. When he sensed something was wrong earlier, he was right about it. There was something going on between Sora, Kairi, and Riku, wasn't there?

Namine kept her eyes on Sora, seeing that he was trying to keep it all together. But he couldn't hide the sadness, and she knew why: He still loved Kairi. And Kairi loved him too, so why was she doing this to him? Namine felt so bad for Sora, but she felt pressured to take Kairi's side because they were best friends. In this case, she felt like she had to side with the former.
Roxas looked up after a few minutes of silence, and he sighed, pushing himself off the trunk of the tree. Standing up straight, he spoke to his friends. "Sun's nearly set. We should head back early, before it gets too dark," he suggested. Plus, it didn't seem like anyone was really enjoying themselves. Going home seemed like a better choice.

"Go ahead," Sora said softly, his voice nearly a whisper as he remained in his position. He didn't want to go back. He didn't even want to be here. But Aqua had ordered him home, so now he was forced to stay here at least until he showed her the situation so she could really see what was going on.
Roxas looked at Sora for a moment, but he didn't argue. Instead, he nodded. "See you at home," he said, offering his hand for Namine to take so she could hop down and they could leave Sora to some of his own time. There was something Roxas was missing, but it was obvious that Sora needed to be alone for right now.

Namine brought her hand off Sora's shoulder and set it in Roxas's when he offered it to her. She lightly jumped down off the tree, and when Sora didn't respond, she assumed that he was silently agreeing to see Roxas at home. He wouldn't run off again...would he?
Roxas kept his hand wrapped around Namine's and he looked to her for a second. He then started forward, walking around the tree so they could get over the bridge and down on the beach. Then they could go home.

Sora heard the two of them walk away, and he didn't bother moving or saying any kind of farewell. He would get home sometime tonight. He couldn't say when, but he wasn't going to run off in the middle of the night. If that happened, then somebody would come after him again. This time when he left, he would make sure nobody would follow.
Roxas glanced up at Sora when he and Namine were walking through the sand, and he frowned a little. This was bad, he realized. All of what he witnessed with Riku and Kairi this past week was more than just Sora leaving... It had to be, after what he just heard from them.

The next day...

Sora sat on the beach on the mainland, his eyes set forward on the play island. He hadn't seen any of his friends except for Roxas, and that was fine with him. He had gotten in late last night, hardly slept, and then woken up early. He told Roxas he was going out alone, and his friend didn't pressure him. He was glad for that, because the only person he wanted to see was Aqua so that he could tell her he was leaving despite her order.

Selphie walked leisurely down the beach, just taking her time to enjoy the sights. She always dreamed of walking like this beside somebody else, hand-in-hand, because it would be so romantic. But there wasn't anybody else on the beach with her. Well, at least she thought so, until her green eyes fell on one of her old friends not too far away.

There was no point in Sora looking for Aqua, though; she could have been anywhere. He was sure she would come to the beach sometime today, since that was where she knew she could find him. Until that time, he'd just have to wait and savor the salty, warm air for the last time.
