Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Light lifted a hand, wiping at her eyes while her back was to Riku. It dried her eyes a little, though she still didn't look back. "We can either do disarming opponents, the Grav-Con device, or we can do more work with the weapon of your choice."
"The weapon I want to use is the Keyblade," Riku admitted, lowering his hand from the back of his neck. "...That's not allowed." Nobody on this world knew of the weapon, so it was illegal, in a sense.

"Not here, anyway," Lightning responded softly. He couldn't use it in the army, but he could use it freely in other places. ...If he chose to drop out of the Guardian Corps. But she doubted he would do that.
"Exactly," Riku said with a nod. "It'll have to wait until I see Sora again." He would definitely want to spar, whenever that was. Until then, Riku would follow the rules here.

"You planning on leaving anytime soon?" Light asked quietly without looking over. He had friends off this world, and she knew his friends were more important to him than she was. But at that instant, she remembered something that happened a long time ago. Maleficent and her company had both her and Sora pinned, and Riku had to choose who would stay behind. And he chose Lightning. ...What does this mean?
"Whenever I'm given a day off, yeah," Riku said, his eyes on Lightning, even if she wouldn't face him. He wondered why that was, but he didn't ask aloud. Everything was still pretty sensitive between the two of them.

So if you leave, you're coming back, Lightning silently thought, not saying anything aloud because she knew this topic would upset him. And her. "Serah wanted you to go shopping with us on your day off," she reminded him softly.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed at the reminder, and he crossed his arms over his chest. "...I'll have to pass," he said then. "I'll tell Serah later." He couldn't just intrude on a wedding he had no idea about until a little while ago, or met the bride and groom within the past two weeks. It wasn't right in his eyes.

Light nodded faintly, lifting her gaze to the sky. She was composed, but if she looked at Riku for long, she probably wouldn't be. Maybe Riku wouldn't come to the wedding then. But...Light knew that it was important to Serah that she and Riku were at least friends by the wedding. Her sister wanted her to be with him, so badly. But the stunt she pulled last night was too much for her to take.
"I'll take that day to go see Sora and Kairi," Riku said, looking from the woman he held many strong feelings for to the ocean, something he missed as well. "Until then, you're stuck with me." He wasn't leaving until that day came.

"...Right," Lightning said quietly, knowing that was the truth. She would be with Riku all day for training, and then all night in her own home. At least they were talking now, even if it wasn't about the things they really needed to discuss. She wouldn't bring anything up until she was sure about it all.
Riku kept his eyes on the water, just staring at it. He meant what he said. Light was stuck with him. It was something he used to say to her all the time, and it still held meaning. At least for him.

Later that night

Lightning sat in the living room of her home, on the couch with paperwork on the small table in front of her. She had a lot of work to do, but first, she needed some tea to help her focus. She made the warm, soothing beverage and then brought it back to the sofa with her, the young woman sitting down and taking a few swallows of it. She always did love tea. But...something tasted odd about it. Little did she know, somebody sneaked into her house earlier that day and replaced the sugar with a substance that would make her lose consciousness in a minute or two. And nobody would notice it, either, Riku outside of the room and Serah not home.

Riku was outside on the balcony, looking out at the view. He tried thinking of what he would tell Sora about this whole thing. He probably wouldn't be happy that he hadn't said anything, but he was sure his best friend would support his decision. Riku never really was spontaneous; he thought about things before he did them. Of course, he didn't exactly think about this. He hoped Light didn't prove him wrong, that she wasn't worth this.

"Something's wrong," Lightning murmured to herself after a few minutes, everything starting to get cloudy. She scooted over to the very side of the couch and leaned against the corner, not laying down because she still had her mug of tea in her hands. But that didn't help at all, and she realized that whatever the problem was, it was great enough for her to pass out. She grunted, losing consciousness as well as her grip on the mug, which fell from her hands and shattered on the hardwood floor in front of the furniture.
Riku looked over his shoulder at the noise, standing upright as his hands rested on the railing of the balcony. It sounded like something broke, and he lifted an eyebrow in question. Lightning? Riku pushed himself away from the balcony, walking toward the sliding door. He opened it and stepped inside, his eyes wandering for any signs of Lightning or a broken glass.

Light remained sitting in the corner of the couch, though her limp body clearly showed that she was knocked out. She was always prepared for attacks, even in her own home, but she never expected a tranquilizer in her tea. Her sword case sat propped up against the side of the couch, useless to her now.
Riku walked through the room that led to the balcony, and then he stepped into the living room. His eyes widened when he saw Lightning on the couch, and the broken mug on the floor. "Light?!" he said, alarm in his voice.

Everything's going according to plan, the man on the roof thought, looking through the glass windows down below. Thankfully, no shadows were shown from the figures on the room, since it was dark outside. The rookie found his mentor incapacitated, so what would he do now? In just a moment, he and his men would swoop in and appear to be a threat. Time to see what this cadet could do.
Riku hurried across the room, stopping in front of the couch. He put his hand on the back of the couch and leaned down, putting his other hand to Lightning's cheek. "Hey," Riku called, trying to wake her. "Light." What was going on? What was wrong with her?
  • Author
Light remained unresponsive, the men on the roof smart enough to give her a tranquilizer that wouldn't wear off without a remedy of some kind. As great as Riku was, he wouldn't be able to snap her out of this. And neither would the soft, faint noises of the men on the roof, dressed in black wearing masks, opening the windows. They were about to come in.
Riku kept his hand on Light's face, though he stood stock still when he thought he heard something. Sensed something. His eyebrows furrowed as he glanced out of the corner of his eye in both directions. ...Someone's here.

The leader of the group grabbed onto the rope he had tied to the roof and came down through the now-open window, five other men doing the same with their own windows in that area. As soon as he landed on the ground, he pulled out his sword, the others doing the same.

Riku's eyes widened in alarm, seeing the figures that came in from above. His eyes narrowed just as quickly, however, the boy fighting the urge to summon his Keyblade. Can't do that here, he thought, his hand balling into a fist. He'd have to find something else.

The man didn't see Officer Farron's weapon sitting against the side of the couch, or know that the cadet could use it in the first place. He and his men started in, moving to surround the couch that the young woman was on and the young man was standing in front of.
