Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Still not totally understanding everything, are you Farron?" Amador asked with a small smirk, starting towards the ropes. "Don't worry; your cadet will fill you in tomorrow." He nodded faintly to Riku, stopping at the rope. "We'll let ourselves out." They used the ropes and exited the building skillfully, not taking long to give the officer some privacy.

Light leaned the back of her head against the back of the couch, shutting her eyes. She felt like she was actually going to be sick. Why did they need to give her the really potent stuff? It seemed like overkill.

Riku watched the men go, and he felt his tense shoulders finally relax. "You've got to be kidding," he muttered under his breath. All of that, for a test? Not only had he been scared to wits end for Light's safety, but he felt...surprised. Did that really just happen?

"The Guardian Corps doesn't kid around," Light mumbled softly in response to Riku. They went all out for that test. She could only imagine what Riku went through while she was knocked out. But she couldn't process it now, so she'd ask later.
"Clearly," Riku answered, briefly glancing at Lightning. But then he realized he still held her weapon in his hand. He walked around the couch, seeing the case on the floor not too far off. He approached it and picked it up, placing the weapon back inside it, just like it had been before.

Light briefly opened her eyes, seeing Riku put her blade away. "I guess letting you try my gunblade earlier today was a smart move," she said softly, her voice showing she was still affected by the drug. She still would be until it fully wore off sometime tomorrow.
"Guess so," Riku said, turning around and setting the case with the sword inside down on the table in front of the couch. It was still in tact, even after all he just went through. He then turned his attention to Lightning, seeing that she still appeared out of it. By the sound of her voice and the looks combined, she clearly was.

Light kept her eyes shut, not even sensing Riku's gaze on her. She had to snap out of this. The tranquilizer messed with emotions; it was already making her feel a little weepy. She just wanted to be held, but she couldn't ask for that from Riku. And it was her own fault.
Riku tilted his head a little. "Is it really gonna last that long?" he asked. "The tranquilizer, I mean." Was it really going to last until tomorrow? If so...he wasn't sure if he should leave. Lightning looked vulnerable.

"Probably," Light said with a small nod, grimacing. "There's a lot of it in my system." The antidote was just meant to weaken it, not remove it. A drug this powerful had to work its way out of her system naturally.
"Mm." Riku felt a little bad, actually. Light was dealing with the effects of the drug because of him. He was the one who had to take the test, and she was unlucky enough to be his mentor. Of course, Riku had no idea such a thing would happen, so there really wasn't much he could say to blame himself. Regardless, he still felt awful about it, seeing the way Lightning looked on the couch.

Light opened her eyes softly, looking at Riku gazing at her. "What're you thinking?" she asked quietly, not really thinking about the question implying she cared. She did care, after all. And she knew by Riku's expression that he was pondering something.
Riku's eyes locked onto Lightning's finally, but he looked away, lifting a hand to the back of his neck. "...How unfair this is," he admitted. Everything about this was unfair, not just the effects of the drug. He intruded on Light's life, and he could tell she wasn't happy about it. It was disrespectful, and the last thing he wanted to do was hurt Lightning again, even if he wasn't sure how he did it the first time.

Light glanced away, to the broken mug on the floor. "The Guardian Corps needs to test their cadets in real danger to see how much they're worth, not just judge them through training," she said softly. "They do it in various ways, so I never would have guessed I would be involved with your test." She wasn't sure how it really answered Riku's beliefs of how things were unfair, but she wasn't thinking the best she could because of the drug. Hopefully he understood that.
It's not just the test, Light, Riku wanted to say. However, he remained silent. How could he tell her everything that was on his mind? It would directly go against what he told her the day she ended things between them. His logic would be proven wrong now, and he had no doubt in his mind that she would tell him to go home. Wherever home was.

Lightning shut her eyes again, lifting a hand to her head. Ugh. I think I'm going to be sick. It wasn't just affecting her head; it was her stomach too. This was the first time she swallowed a tranquilizer so strong, and it was messing with her.
Riku lowered his hand to his side, though he only briefly glanced at Lightning. "You should go to your room and sleep...or something," he said, staring down at the ground. She looked exhausted, and he was sure she needed to rest all she could. Besides, he didn't want things to get awkward because he didn't know what to say.

Light shook her head softly, keeping her hand to her head. "I want to get done this paperwork tonight," she murmured, though she knew it would be an impossible task. But another impossible task would be to get to her room when she was like this.
Riku furrowed his eyebrows, his eyes still on the ground as he shook his head a little. Lightning was seriously in over her head right now. "I doubt you'll be able to finish it like this," he said, thinking logically. She wasn't in the best shape for even paperwork. He could even see that.

"...Probably right," Lightning was compelled to agree, her voice still quiet and slightly slurred. She felt so absolutely terrible. She was practically paralyzed, and she knew that Riku wouldn't leave her when she was in such bad shape. Even if he didn't love her anymore, he wouldn't have done that.
Riku lifted his eyes from the ground, letting them rest on Lightning now. He noticed that she wasn't getting up, barely moving at all. "Can you stand?" he asked softly. If she could, she needed to get to her room.
  • Author
"Nope," Lightning said bluntly, looking to Riku. She lowered her hand from her head, too tired to hold it up any longer. She did need to stand, though; she had to make it to a bathroom, since she felt like she was going to vomit.
Riku nodded once, lifting one of his hands to scratch his cheek. "Alright." That meant he would have to help her. He wasn't going to make her sleep on the couch just because she couldn't move. He started toward her, lowering his hand to his side.

Light kept her gaze on Riku, able to tell by the look in his eyes what he was about to do. "You don't have to help me," she said quietly. After how she treated him lately, how could he want to?
Riku stopped next to Lightning, standing where he found her during his test, unconscious. "You're practically paralyzed," he said, looking down at her. "I'm not gonna leave you stranded on the couch." He would just help her to her room...unless she didn't want him touching her at all. Then he would step off.

"...It should start wearing off in a few hours," Lightning said softly. "I could just sleep here...You could take my bed." It was a kind offer, one that wasn't hard for Lightning to say. She didn't hate Riku, after all. She loved him more and more every time she saw him. But she knew he couldn't love her the same. Right?
