Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku gave Lightning a look, shaking his head. "Nuh uh," he said in refusal. He wasn't taking the bed; it was hers, so she would sleep in it. He kept his eyes on her, knowing he would have to help her to her room in order for her to sleep in the bed. "Now let's go. Just don't hit me, okay?" Riku would have to pick her up, and he didn't want Lightning whacking him upside the head just because he was performing a kind gesture.

Lightning actually smiled faintly, Riku's last comment amusing her. She probably could find the strength to hit him if she wanted to, but she didn't have that desire. "You're so stubborn." But so was she.
Riku couldn't fight the urge to roll his eyes, performing the action automatically. He bent over and wrapped his arms around Light's back and under her legs, prepared to pick her up. Being this close made him feel...different, but he tried to ignore it the best he could.

It almost feels like...nothing's changed, Light thought for a moment, having no choice but to let Riku pick her up. Her emotions from earlier all started to come back, the drugs making her feel really depressed and weepy. She wanted to stay in his arms, forever.
Riku lifted Light easily from the couch, her weight practically nothing compared to other things he'd held in the past. He held her securely and walked around the couch, leaving the living room so he could get her to her room. He remembered which one it was, thankfully, since the feeling of her being in his arms distracted him enough.

"...Instead of the bedroom, could you take me to the bathroom?" Light asked softly, eyes shut in weakness. "I'm going to be sick." She could only hope that vomiting would help get some of the drug out of her system. Even if it didn't, she was going to puke anyway.
"Yeah," Riku said with a small nod, taking a few more steps before carefully stepping into the bathroom, making sure that Light didn't bump her head. Once he was in, he approached the toilet, gently bending down to set Light's feet down first.

Light's feet touched the ground, but she had no strength to stay on them. She fell down on her knees in front of the toilet, thankfully not falling down from that position. She shut her eyes and lowered her head over the bowl, losing her dinner a few moments later.
Naturally, Riku stayed behind Light, though he held her hair in one of his hands, the other on her back. Stupid, he thought, cursing himself. If he hadn't joined the Corps, she wouldn't be going through this right now. Maybe things would have been better if he just left the day she ended it.

Light started to cry, her breathing becoming ragged both because of that and because she just finished vomiting. This was absolutely terrible. Riku was still with her physically after everything, but she pushed him away emotionally. She wanted him back, even if she was afraid of getting hurt.
Riku's eyes softened, hearing Light's crying. He kept his hand on her back and brought her hair so it rested over her shoulder blades, out of the way. You're alright, he wanted to say, but he couldn't find his voice.

"Why are you here?" Lightning asked through her tears, her voice still choked up. She was emotional because of everything she did to ruin her relationship with Riku, even if the drug was helping make things ten times worse. But her question still stood. Why did he stick with her?
Riku was a little caught off guard with the question, but he didn't move from where he was. "...I told you," he said softly, his voice gentle with her naturally, since she was so upset. "I need to prove myself." To her, to show that they would be alright, no matter what.
  • Author
"To prove how incredible you are?" Light asked, sniffling while remaining in her current position. "I already know that. Why aren't you fed up with me?" He should have been, after how she broke up with him and treated him since.
Riku blinked at everything Light just said to him, and he glanced away from the back of her head. He couldn't answer that, not right now. He didn't want to talk about it with her when she was so upset. It would only make things worse. Riku focused on Lightning again, the boy moving his hand from her back and wrapping that arm around her stomach. "C'mon, Light," he coaxed softly. She needed to get to her room.

Lightning's tears kept flowing, though she wasn't sobbing. Riku's arm around her stomach made her want to be even closer to him, but she knew she couldn't be. Not right now. Riku was so sensible that he must have known she wasn't completely herself right now. He wouldn't take advantage of her vulnerability and try to get back together with her.
Riku lifted Light gently to her feet, though he didn't hesitate picking her up again. He held her securely, though he tried not to think too much of it. She was vulnerable and affected by the drug, so she wasn't herself. He knew Lightning would never be this emotional in front of him. She was too hard-headed for that.

"...I know you don't want to talk now," Lightning said softly, looking up at Riku when he held her in his arms. "But I do have a request I'd like to make." She had to say it, even if it wasn't anything earth shattering. It was important to her.
Riku made his way out of the bathroom, watching Lightning's head when he stepped out. He then started toward her bedroom, though he glanced down at her. "Mm?" he grunted softly. What was it?
  • Author
"...Don't judge me too harshly for this," Light said softly, obviously referring to her emotional state. She was a wreck. She wanted to blame it all on the drug, but she couldn't. But Riku didn't need to know that.
"I won't," Riku promised softly, seeing Light's room up ahead. He turned into it, once again making sure that she didn't hit her head. It was the drug; he knew that. Unfortunately, that meant she would be this vulnerable until sometime tomorrow.
  • Author
"Thanks," Light said softly, not finding the need to say anything else. She knew Riku wouldn't go against that small promise; he wasn't that kind of person.
"Mm," Riku hummed softly, approaching Lightning's bed. He glanced down at her and met her gaze, and he wanted nothing more than to just hold her a little bit longer. But he couldn't, even if seeing her so upset killed him inside. Riku lowered Light to her bed once he was next to it, fighting the urges within him. They weren't together anymore.

Lightning laid down on the bed once Riku sat her down, the girl laying on her side and curling up slightly while facing in the direction of her ex-boyfriend. She didn't know what else to say.
Riku stood upright, though his eyes stayed on Lightning. He would let her be, that way she could rest. "Holler if you need anything, okay?" he requested softly. They may not have been dating any longer, but he still cared. More than she knew.
