Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"I will," Light said softly, this answer different from her usual "I'm alright". She wanted to let Riku in again. Maybe that was just an affect from the drugs, but that was what she was feeling.
Riku nodded once and then tore his eyes from Light's, turning around and heading toward the door. He would be sure to tell Serah what was going on when she got back, that way she wouldn't worry too much about Lightning's state.

Light shut her eyes once Riku got further away, passing out a few moments after that. But it was a good thing, because she couldn't handle reality when she was so torn between her raging emotions and her logic. She needed to sleep, and make it all vanish for a little while.
Riku softly shut the door behind him, though he left it open a little so he could hear Lightning in case she called. He then went to the couch, sitting down and glancing at the paperwork Lightning had been working on before his test took place. He didn't touch it, not wanting to mess it up, and instead stretched out across the couch, turning on the television. He'd distract himself for a while.

The next morning

Light slept through the whole night and most of the morning, though she was normally an early riser. When she started coming out of her slumber mid-morning, she rolled over. But she didn't realize she was so close to the edge of the bed. She grunted when she hit the floor after rolling out of the bed. You've got to be kidding me.

Riku was currently sitting in the kitchen, eating some cereal. When he heard the faint thump, he looked up from his bowl, eyebrows furrowing. He instantly knew that it had something to do with Lightning, since Serah was gone. But...what happened?

"Ugh." Lightning rolled over to her side, slowly pushing herself up into a sitting position. She definitely had more strength today, thank goodness. She pushed herself up so she was standing, careful not to fall. Once she was sure she had her balance, she started towards the door.
Riku swallowed his food and pushed himself away from the table, getting up to go check it out. He didn't know what Lightning could have done to cause a noise like that, but it probably wasn't good.

Light opened the door once she was there, stepping out into the hallway. She still had on the clothes she had been wearing last night, but she didn't care. She lightly kept a hand against the wall just in case she tripped up, though she was alright with walking so far.
Riku left the kitchen, though he stopped short when he saw Light coming down the hallway. He blinked in surprise, not expecting her to be up and moving already. Maybe the rest really was what she needed.

Light looked up when she saw somebody up ahead, stopping and blinking in surprise like Riku did. She thought he was going to go see Sora and Kairi on the first day he had off. Why was he still here?
Riku caught the quizzical expression from Light, not that she really tried hiding it. "...Hey," he greeted, his eyebrows furrowing. She seemed okay... Had the drug worn off already?
  • Author
"Hey," Light greeted, voice soft as she leaned her shoulder against the wall. Riku was studying her; it was pretty obvious. He was probably wondering how affected by the drugs she still was.
"How're you feeling?" Riku asked, staying where he was, a few yards between him and Light. Last night she had been a mess, both emotionally and physically. She even got sick. He had been worried about her all night.

Instead of just saying she was alright, Light actually answered the question. "Tired and funny in the head, but I'm okay." She wasn't weepy or overly emotional like she was last night. She just felt like she wasn't all there.
Riku nodded a little, though his eyes never left Lightning. He was glad she wasn't as emotional. He could hardly handle her crying last night. It broke his heart, more than it already was.

Light tilted her head a little, almost blushing at how Riku was almost staring right through her. "...I wasn't expecting you to be here," she confessed. "Weren't you going to Sora and Kairi?"
Riku nodded a little once more, though he did finally look away. Yeah, about that... "I thought I was needed here, so I didn't go," he revealed softly, his eyes finding Lightning once again. He didn't want to leave her when she was vulnerable and Serah wasn't around.

Light lowered her gaze to the ground, nodding ever so slightly. She felt guilty. She knew how much Riku loved his friends, and he only gave up on seeing them because of Lightning's physical condition. How could he place her above his friends? She thought he loved them more.
Riku saw Light's expression, and he lifted his hand to the back of his neck, rubbing it awkwardly. He wasn't sure how to respond verbally to that look, so he decided not to say anything. It wasn't that big of a deal. Sora and Kairi would understand.

"...You should be with them," Lightning finally said, lifting her gaze back to Riku. She could take care of herself, even if Serah wasn't home since she was busy preparing for the wedding. Light would be fine.
Riku looked at Light, lowering his arm. "It's no big deal," he said with a small shrug. Yeah, he missed them, since it was quiet without them around. But he was fine. He had Light...in a sense.
  • Author
"...But it is," Light argued softly. "You've been looking forward to having a day off to go see them." Wasn't Riku at least a little upset that he was "stuck" with her instead?
Riku furrowed his eyebrows. "Doesn't matter," he said with a small shake of his head. "I'm here, and I'm staying. Just in case." He wanted to make sure nothing happened to her, even if she was just at home. But she had trouble last night. He wanted to be here in case she needed someone.

Light wasn't ready to let the subject go. She wasn't trying to push Riku away...not really. She just didn't want him staying out of obligation. "It's no big deal. It doesn't matter," she repeated softly, faintly shaking her head. "That's not really the case, is it?"
