A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

"I'm the one who screwed up and ruined everything, not you," Lightning said firmly, her eyes locked on Riku's. She realized that now. She was so hurt that day when his friends seemed more important to him than she did, but now she realized she was just looking for an excuse to distrust their love. She wanted to stop doing that and believe that she and Riku could have a happy ending.

If that's true, then... "What made you do it?" Riku asked quietly, his eyebrows furrowing over his eyes. Serah said something happened, or at least hinted at it. So what was it?

Lightning looked away, subconsciously bringing a hand to the hair that hung over her shoulder. If she said what it was, Riku would probably feel guilty, even if she said it was her own fault.

Riku's expression became more serious when Lightning hesitated. "...What?" he asked, his voice lower than before. What did he do? If it was that bad, he wanted to know.

"That day when we fought Hades," Light started softly. "When Terra was injured. Fang was about to finish me off, and nobody noticed." Not even Riku.

Riku closed his eyes, his fists tightening as he released a breath. "I'm sorry," he apologized weakly. He didn't like to picture such a thing happening, and he was sure that if he saw it, he would have panicked. But, he didn't. He'd been with Terra...

Light hummed softly, nodding faintly. She knew Riku was sorry; he wouldn't purposely ignore her, especially not if she was in danger. She never did think it was on purpose.

Riku opened his eyes, though he didn't look at Lightning. Instead, he stared at her shoulder. "...I should have been with you," he said softly. She should have been his first priority.

Lightning shook her head softly, looking at Riku's chest. "Terra's important to you too," she said quietly. "I shouldn't have been so offended." And that was the truth.

Riku lifted his hand to his face, sighing softly. He needed to get his priorities straightened out. This couldn't happen again...if it happened again. He wouldn't know for sure, since he and Light might not have had a future.

When Riku didn't say anything, Lightning stayed silent as well. She didn't really have anything to say. She was just sorting all this out in her head now, but she knew this was the truth. She overreacted.

Riku lowered his hand from his face, looking over Lightning to the hallway. He remembered everything that happened last night, and that she asked why he wasn't fed up with her, after she said he was incredible. "...I love you," he said, lowering his eyes to Lightning then. That was why he wasn't fed up with her. He loved her.

Lightning blinked, lifting her gaze to Riku in surprise. "Where did that come from?" she asked softly. Not that she didn't love hearing it, but that came out of nowhere.

"Last night, when you asked me why I wasn't fed up with you," Riku said, reminding her of what occurred the night before. "...It's because I love you." He'd never loved anyone before Lightning, and he didn't think he could love anyone after her. It would be hard, if she decided this wasn't what she wanted, but he wouldn't bother her. He'd let her get on with her life...if that was how things turned out to be.

Light felt a faint smile tug at her lips. "You're allowed to be angry with the people you love, you know," she stated softly. That was how she was when Riku suddenly joined the Corps.

"I know, but I don't want to be," Riku admitted, his eyes on that smile. It was the smallest thing, but it was definitely a sight for sore eyes. He missed that smile.

"But you had a right to be," Light stated softly. She wasn't exactly kind to him. No, she didn't slap him or anything, but she wasn't fair to the person she loved by giving him the silent treatment.

"What, because you wouldn't talk to me?" Riku asked, lifting an eyebrow in question. "It's understandable. I wasn't exactly invited to stay." He just intruded, like it was nothing. He would have been upset too, especially after what happened, if he was in Light's position.

"No, not quite," Lightning had to agree with a weak smile. Riku was only allowed to stay in this house because of Serah. But now...Light wanted him to stay. And it seemed like he wanted to stay too.

"Sorry," Riku said, smiling faintly, sheepishly as he lifted a hand to the back of his head. "...I was desperate." To make you change your mind. He wanted to show her that they belonged together, but would joining the Corps really do that?

"...I guess it was for the best," Light said, feeling herself smile at Riku's sheepish expression. "It wasn't just coincidence that I was your mentor and your Officer. At first, I thought fate was mocking me, but..." But it was really trying to bring them together.

Riku lowered his hand, his smile disappearing at that. Yeah, he could tell Lightning wasn't happy about either of those things. But like he said, she was stuck with him, whether she liked it or not. Maybe Fate agreed.

"But I can deal with it if you can," Light said, her eyes locking on Riku's. She didn't say it bitterly. Riku just got done saying love conquered everything and he loved her, so...He wouldn't give up on her now, would he?

Riku smiled crookedly, the expression being the first since that was caused by something Lightning said. "Mm," he said with a small nod. He definitely could deal with it. He'd prefer it, actually.

Light found herself smiling a genuine smile, Riku's crooked smile always drawing some kind of smile out of her. She made him smile. That made her so happy.
