Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku's eyes lingered on the expression Lightning wore, his gaze taking it in while he could. He loved that smile, just as he loved her. Every fault, every trait. He adored this girl, but he had a feeling she didn't know how much.

"...So, what now?" Lightning asked softly, her smile fading. Riku's content look made her not want to bring up a touchy subject again, but she needed to know. Would they be a couple again?
Riku shrugged a little, his small smile fading slowly. "I guess...we'll see how things go," he said softly. He wanted to get back together with Light, and hold her and kiss her like he used to. But she didn't know what she wanted. So he would wait until she was sure.

Light felt her expression change, confusion present. "What do you mean?" she asked softly. See how things go? So...they would just be friends for a little, and not in a relationship? That was how she interpreted what he said.
Riku glanced away, his eyebrows furrowing ever so slightly. "Light..." he started softly, not sure how he would word this. "...There's nothing I want more than you, but you're still not sure." She didn't know if she wanted him or not. "I don't want to jump into this and end up..." End up getting hurt again.

"...End up with me doing something stupid again," Light said quietly, furrowing her eyebrows slightly and looking away. She got it. She was the one who screwed up everything in the first place, and Riku was afraid she would do it again.
Riku lowered his gaze to the ground, previously looking to the couch nearby. "...I'm just taking a precaution," he told Lightning gently. It was the safest route, for both of them.

"Because you don't feel safe with me," Lightning declared quietly, saying what Riku wouldn't. He didn't trust her not to break his heart. "...Nice move." She took a step over, going to walk away. She didn't want Riku seeing her expression right now.
Riku's hand shot out without a second thought, the boy grasping Light's upper arm. "Don't," he said softly, his eyes still on the ground. Don't walk away. He couldn't handle her doing that.

Light glanced over to the ground on the other side of Riku, not fighting against his arm stopping her. She should have expected him to stop her; whenever she tried walking away from conversations, he always stopped her.
Riku didn't say anything at first, fighting his emotions as they both stood there. He kept his grip on Light's arm, and his hand tightened around it as he closed his eyes. "...Lightning," he said softly, though he couldn't think of anything to continue with. Why was this so hard?

Light shook her head softly, knowing that there wasn't much to say. "You don't have to say anything," she said quietly. "I already know. I'm right." She was going to hurt him if she got too close to him.
Riku opened his eyes, looking to the woman he loved. "No, you're wrong," he corrected her. "I do feel safe with you. I just..." He loosened his hold on her upper arm, though he didn't let go; he didn't want to. "I want to make sure this is something you want. I know neither of us can handle this if it happens again."

Light shook her head softly, not believing Riku. He hadn't contradicted her when he said they wouldn't get back together right away because if they did, she'd do something stupid. While he was right to have that worry, it still hurt he couldn't completely trust her.
Riku didn't know what to say to that head shake. He never had been good with words; Sora was always the one for that. So what was he to do? How could he get Lightning to believe him?
  • Author
"...Just keep up your guard," Lightning said quietly. "And next time I do something stupid, leave." She couldn't bear hurting him again. She just couldn't.
Riku looked at Lightning, but then he furrowed his eyebrows. This was defeat. He didn't know how to counter that statement. "...Fine," he said, releasing her arm. Next time, he would go...for good.

Light nodded faintly, her gaze still on the ground. She was pained to hear what Riku said, but that was the answer she drew out of him. She loved him and his persistence with their relationship, and he didn't ever want him to give up on her. But those expectations weren't realistic.
"...And if you ever want me to get out," Riku said, lowering his gaze to the floor. "Just say it. I'll leave without a word." He would understand this time around. He wouldn't ask any questions.
  • Author
"I hope it never comes to that," Light responded softly. She loved him and didn't want him to leave her. She lived most of her life without him and without knowing his existence, but she didn't think she could go back to being without him. She would miss him too badly, the first person she trusted with her heart.
"Mm," Riku hummed with a small nod, staying where he was. "It's mutual." He didn't want to get separated from Light, but if Fate wanted it that way... Riku knew he couldn't fight it. Fate would put him in the place he was meant to be, and the same went for Lightning, even if their paths didn't meet.

Light smiled weakly without thought, lifting her gaze to Riku. "I'm glad to hear that," she said softly. She loved him and wanted to cling to him as long as she could. Forever, if fate allowed her to.
Riku turned his gaze to Lightning, feeling her pale blue eyes on him. He caught that smile, and he blinked at the sight of it; it surprised him. Regardless, he nodded in agreement. He was happy about it too. If he didn't feel that way, there would be no point to this. Any of it.

Light glanced away, blushing for some reason. Riku just caught her off guard by the way that he looked surprised at her smile. She knew she didn't smile often, but...Oh well, it didn't matter.
Riku smirked ever so slightly, seeing the hint of red on Light's cheeks. "Go get some breakfast," he said after a moment. He needed to take a shower anyway.
