Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Right...Officer Farron," Riku replied, lifting an eyebrow in suggestion. It was so weird, calling her that. He just wanted to address her as Lightning, Light...babe. Riku's smirk slowly faded at that. He only got to use that pet name once.

"Any ideas on what we should do?" Lightning asked, looking over to Riku for suggestions. She hadn't had much of a chance to think about it, with everything that was going on. Physical training or team training were always options.
Riku lowered his eyebrows, seeing how the conversation was taking a different turn. "Well..." he said softly, finally looking away from Light to stare at his clasped hands. "...Their stamina could use some work." He remembered how hard it was for some of them to run back to camp.

"Mm," Light hummed with a small nod. Stamina. She hadn't really thought about that, but Riku had a point. The cadets had good physical strength, judging by the fights she went into with them. But their stamina needed improvement.
"But I think you've got the discipline down," Riku quipped smartly, his gaze finding Lightning again. She snapped at one of the cadets and nobody acted up again. She set a boundary, and nobody dared to cross it.

Lightning "hmphed," smirking slightly at Riku. "If you think I was hard on them, you're wrong," she said. "I went easy on them." She could be a lot meaner if she had to be, but she probably wouldn't need to. The cadets knew not to mess with her.
Riku fought the urge to smile. "Scary," he said then. He remembered how shocking it was to see her get angry at someone who made a mistake, which was why he vowed not to get on her bad side.

Lightning's smirk remained, her gaze staying on Riku. "I can be much more frightening, but I probably won't have to be," she said. "Like you said, I've got the discipline down." But she did hope that the cadets wouldn't continue talking about her behind her back. That was immature.
"I'll follow your every command, Officer Farron," Riku said, leaning back in his seat. "I'm under your control from now on." And he meant it. He would do anything for her. Anything.

"From now on?" Light asked, her smirk fading but not going away completely. "I thought you already were under my command." He did everything she told him in training without talking back.
Riku rolled his eyes, shaking his head as he glanced out the window. "Whatever," he mumbled, though he did have a hint of a smile on his face. He was. She didn't know it, but he was wrapped around her little finger, and always would be.

Lightning smiled, shifting her gaze to the ceiling when Riku looked away. "Good thing you can take orders," she said. "You've got a lot to learn." He was skilled, but there was plenty to learn still.
"Only if you're willing to teach me," Riku replied softly, his eyes still on the window. He saw that it was nice outside, and he wanted to go running on the beach, like he started to before the Islands were attacked. But that beach wasn't like his back home; it was more crowded.

"I am," Light said softly, her smile fading away. She was serious; she wanted to teach Riku, to help him get stronger. And it was an excuse to be close to him. That was perfectly alright with her.
Riku turned his head, looking back to Lightning.. "Alright then," he said with a small smile. "Your cadet's ready to learn, Officer Farron." He lifted his arm out and then over his chest, saluting her formally despite the situation. He may have been joking around, but he really was ready to get stronger. He had to protect her, and his friends. No matter what.

"Heh," Light laughed quietly, shifting her gaze to the ceiling before shutting her eyes. It was so weird, having him call her that. Especially since they weren't in training right now, or with other people. She wanted him to call her by her name. Even if that name...was Claire.
Riku smiled ever so slightly and lowered his arm, though he did cross them over his chest. He let his eyes rest on Lightning once again, and he knew that she would be aware that he was staring. It was okay, at least in his eyes.

"Riku, can I be honest with you about something?" Lightning asked, opening her eyes and turning her head on the couch to look at Riku. She knew his answer would most likely be "yes", but she asked the question anyway. There was no good reason not to.
"Sure," Riku answered with a small nod. He wasn't sure what to expect from Lightning, since she was one of those few people he couldn't easily read. Regardless, he was willing to hear her out.

"During moments like this, I'd rather you call me Claire instead of Officer Farron," Light said, knowing Riku would understand what she meant. This wasn't an invitation to call her Claire, but a message. If she hated being called by that name, then she hated being called Officer Farron even more. At least by Riku, in times where it wasn't necessary.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed at the question, the boy confused. Moments like this? And calling Lightning by her real name was something he found really important, for obvious reasons. He just didn't understand why this moment had any significance, and why she didn't say "Lightning" instead.

Lightning looked back to the ceiling, seeing Riku's confused look. "I mean, it's weird for you to call me Officer Farron outside of training," she said, being more straightforward. "I don't think I really like it." She liked the way Riku said her name, even when he was teasing her. She didn't really know how to explain it.
"Mm," Riku hummed softly. "Sorry." He wouldn't do it anymore, but he thought the moment called for it. Regardless, he would do as she asked. Light was important to him, and whatever she wanted from him, she would get.

"No big deal," Lightning said, shrugging faintly even as she laid on her back. Riku hadn't known, and she hadn't really figured it out herself until he said it. Even teasingly...It made a difference to her when he used her real name. Somehow. For some reason.
Riku kept his eyes on Lightning as a silence came over them, and he fought the urge to go be with her. If they were together, he would have done just that, and snuggled with her on the couch. It would have been like the night she stayed at his place, before he cut off his hair. But, those times wouldn't be around for a while. Not until Lightning made up her mind on what she wanted.
