A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

"Hm?" Selphie tilted her head, scrutinizing the person just ahead. That was him, wasn't it? Or was it some other handsome boy? "Sora?" the girl called from her spot, making sure she had it right before she approached him.

Sora didn't want to respond to the call, but he recognized the voice of a person who hung out with him when he was younger. He turned to look over his shoulder, and he offered Selphie a faint wave.

Selphie felt herself smile, and she lifted her hand to wave as well. After lowering her arm, she started toward Sora, thinking that she could spend some time with him for a while.

Sora turned to face forward again, frowning to himself when Selphie took that wave as an invitation to join him. He just wanted to be alone, but she was so nosy that if he said that, she would pester him until he told her what was wrong. It was best just to play it cool...

"Hello, Sora," Selphie greeted happily, standing next to the boy. "I haven't seen you in a while. Where've you been?" She couldn't really remember the last time she saw him, but she blamed that on her terrible memory. Regardless, she was glad to see him now.

"Vacation," Sora lied, glancing up at Selphie before he looked back to the ocean. That was the excuse he and Riku had given their parents for leaving, saying that they were going on a vacation with some other friend that hadn't existed. And to think that they had just been traveling together a few weeks ago as best friends...Wow.

"Ooh. That sounds nice," Selphie said with a small nod, her smile still against her face. But that wasn't the only thing that was nice. Sora...he looked different, but in a good way. Selphie actually...liked it.

 

Kairi walked down one of the dirt paths leading to the beach, wanting to get her mind off things. While she had been walking, she prayed that she wouldn't run into Sora along the way. But of course, just ahead, she could see him on the beach. And...Selphie was with him?

Sora nodded slightly, keeping his gaze on the ocean. A vacation would have been nice, if that was what they were really doing. But instead, their quest had led up to the tension between him and his friends now. How did that even happen?

Selphie tilted her head, looking at Sora. "Well, it must have done you some good," she said. "You look great." Did he build some muscles while he was gone? He certainly did look a little more buff than when he was last here...

 

Kairi kept herself hidden slightly behind a tree, watching from her spot. She could hear the conversation going on, or what Selphie just said to her...ex-boyfriend. Kairi bit her lip while glancing at Sora, the boy she still loved. How was he going to react to what Selphie just said? If Kairi wasn't mistaken, and usually with Selphie she wasn't, her former best friend was flirting with him...even if it was subtle.

"Thanks," Sora mumbled, lifting a hand and running it over the back of his head. His "vacation" had made him stronger, since he had been fighting for his life along with his best friends. None of them had been lost in battle, but that didn't mean that one of them wasn't lost. Riku was no longer his friend, was he?

Selphie smiled. "Sure," she said sweetly. She turned her eyes away from him, looking around briefly for any signs of Kairi. The last time she checked, she and Sora were still dating. But if they weren't anymore, and Kairi wasn't around...

Sora stayed silent, not knowing how to respond to that. He wasn't about to initiate conversation; maybe if he didn't talk long enough, Selphie would take the hint and leave. But she never noticed things like that; she was really an airhead.

"I don't see Kairi anywhere..." Selphie mentioned softly, linking her hands behind her back. "You guys are usually attached at the hip." But now she wasn't around. So what did that mean?

 

Kairi heard herself mentioned in the conversation, which only made her listen in more. So...where was Selphie going with this?

Sora shrugged slightly, not disagreeing with Selphie. Until recently, they had been together a lot. But they wouldn't be together again the way that things were going now. She ran away whenever she saw him, and he didn't know why.

"Everything okay?" Selphie asked, lifting her eyebrows when she didn't get a response out of Sora. By his silence...maybe there was something going on.

"Fine," Sora lied. "We're not seeing each other anymore." Literally, they weren't seeing each other. Sora wasn't searching the island for her, and she obviously wasn't looking for him. If anything, she was avoiding him. And that killed him.

Selphie blinked in shock. "Really?" she asked. That was hard to believe... Those two had been so close...

 

Kairi lowered her eyes to the ground at Sora's words, hearing his tone. He was angry with her, and she wasn't surprised. She was cruel, with what she did to him. But she couldn't think of any other route to take...

Sora silently nodded, his gaze briefly going to the ground before he looked back up at the ocean. Really, Selphie, he thought, fighting to keep his emotion out of his expression. It was over.

"I'm sorry to hear that..." But then again, Selphie was actually kind of glad. Kairi may have been her best friend in the past, but they lost touch. And since they hadn't talked in a long time...and Sora was available... "If you need anything, I'm here. Okay?"

"Alright," Sora said with another faint nod. But what he needed was Kairi right now, or Riku. He needed his two best friends again, but he knew that he couldn't have either of them.

Selphie smiled to herself, her eyes still down on the handsome boy before her. "I mean it, Sora. Anything at all, just find me." Whatever Kairi didn't do, Selphie would. She had always thought Sora was kind of cute, in that dorky way. But now...it was different. He was older, and he filled out more. He was actually a lot more attractive in her eyes.

"Okay," Sora said, getting the point. Selphie wanted him to come to her when he was upset. He understood that. Now couldn't she just leave him be? He doubted she would; in the past, she always stuck around when people were upset to try and cheer them up. And with guys, she was always more touchy-feely.

Selphie bent down a little, so her face was closer to Sora's. "...Wanna talk about it?" she asked softly, eyes full of concern. She'd never really seen Sora so...short with someone before. He must have been really upset. But she could cheer him up.

Sora shook his head slightly glancing over at Selphie when she moved closer. "I'm fine," he lied, shifting his gaze towards the ocean as if it was the most fascinating thing in his vision. But...Selphie's bright green eyes had caught his attention a second ago. Something behind her look made him feel...strange.

"Nuh-uh," Selphie disagreed, shaking her head. Her curls bounced with the movement and she lifted a finger, lightly poking Sora's cheek. "Somebody seems to be a little down this afternoon. Avoiding it won't help anything, Sora. It's best to talk it out." And to her, especially. She wanted to help him.

 

Kairi's eyebrows furrowed slightly as she continued to watch from her spot a little ways off. What was Selphie doing?
