Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"...Still, don't blame yourself," Serah said softly. "Lightning wouldn't want that for you." Earlier that day, before Lightning and Riku went to the beach, the two sisters talked. Lightning had said she made up her mind with what she wanted in her future, and she planned on telling Riku that very day. But then...everything changed.
Riku smiled slightly, though it wasn't for a good reason. "She's too good to me sometimes," he said, taking his hand away from Serah's shoulder. He had to make it up to her. But first, he had to save her. He wouldn't sleep until he did.

Serah smiled weakly herself. "Funny," she said softly. "She said the same about you." Lightning said Riku was too good to her. It was clear to Serah just how much Lightning adored Riku, and how Riku adored her as well. They really were destined to be together.
Riku's smile grew ever so slightly, for good reason this time. But then he turned away, starting toward the door to the balcony. "I'll find her, Serah, and I'll bring her back," he said, pulling the door open. He glanced over his shoulder at the bride-to-be, nodding. "I promise."

Serah nodded faintly, though she had more advice to share. "The government's looking for her as well," she said. "They no longer perceive her as an enemy." Apparently they believed the terrorists set up everything with Lightning. But they probably wouldn't believe the same about Riku. "So they're searching Cocoon too. It doesn't look like they went anywhere else." That was the only good news they had.
"Got it," Riku said, nodding once more. He would have to watch out for the Corps then. He turned and stepped outside, hitting his armguard and summoning his armor. Once it appeared, he summoned his glider, leaping over the balcony fence to get onto it. It was time to go get Lightning.

One month later

The chains bound her to a wall, just as the pain bound her to unconsciousness for the time being. Lightning had been held captive for one month to date, and she found that there was only one thing that was unchained, and that thing was what she tried to cling to the most. Her memories were being unraveled by the teens. After one week of physical torture, they started with the mental stuff to try and figure out the secret of using magic. A few days into it, Lightning realized that she was losing her memories. She tried clinging to them the best she could, but she wasn't strong enough to keep them bound to her. She was falling further and further into the darkness.

Riku flew over a forest a few miles south of Bodhum. It had been a month and he still hadn't found Light, and he felt his promise to Serah was falling short. But...he couldn't stop searching. He needed to find her. Lightning was in danger, and a part of the reason was because of him. He was exhausted from not getting the sleep he needed, but Lightning was more important. Riku couldn't lose her. He just couldn't.

Somebody...help...please, Lightning silently begged. All this time, she had been clinging to the notion of somebody coming and saving her. She also clung to her memory of a certain young man, who always seemed to find her in her weakest moment and save her from the villain. Well, this was her weakest moment. Where was her hero?
Riku glanced around the area behind his helmet, and that was when he spotted a building almost hidden by the trees. Looks shady, he thought instantly. Besides, the Darkness was strong here; it set him off. He lowered his glider to the trees a couple hundred feet off, that way he wouldn't be seen from the windows. As he got off his glider and removed his armor, Riku smelled it. "Lightning." Her scent.

I'm so close to losing you completely, Lightning thought, her fingers twitching slightly in her sleep. The memories were going away rapidly, and while she clung to the memory of this person, she knew she lost a lot of information. She didn't know how much, but it was bad. If Darren and his crew had one more day with her...She would lose him completely. And then she would give up hope of being rescued by him.
Riku summoned his Keyblade to his hand as soon as he was near the building, Lightning's scent and the Darkness's stench telling him he was where he was supposed to be. She was just up ahead, but he had to sneak in. He approached the building, naturally quiet and stealthy. Riku then looked through the window, not seeing anything. The first room was clear.

Even in her unconsciousness, Lightning realized that Darren and the rest of the crew would be back to experiment more on her soon. They were no closer to reaching the answers that they wanted, and they didn't care about Lightning's well-being at all. They only did what was necessary to keep her alive because they needed her alive to take her power, or so they thought. She didn't know if they were right or wrong, but she didn't care. She just knew she had to get out of here, and she couldn't do it on her own strength.
Riku stepped into the building, being light on his feet. He heard voices coming from another room when he was inside, so he made sure to be even quieter. To him, they sounded like they belonged to people his own age, which meant they were the ones that took Lightning. They'll pay.

Light already thought through this a million times. She tried escaping before, but she hadn't been able to. She even heard helicopters fly over this place as if they were looking for something, but nobody ever came in. Nobody thought to search this place, so would they ever? Would she ever be found? Rescued?
Riku knew the teens were in the next room, but there was another door on the other side of the room he was in. He went toward it and opened it quietly. He peeked his head in, and a grunt left him when he saw her. Lightning.

Lightning didn't respond to the presence of a rescuer, knocked out. She held onto hope, because that was all she would have left once her memories were completely taken. She had faith in the boy who rescued her from danger before. He'd come for her again.
Riku dismissed his blade, quietly crossing the room and standing in front of Lightning. "Light..." he called softly, but when he didn't get a response, he knew she was unconscious. And she looked awful. It broke his heart, seeing the chains that held her to the wall and the scratches and bruises that lined her arms and neck and face. She looked terrible.

Something feels...different, Light thought after a moment, sensing a warm presence near her even in her unconsciousness. But that presence wasn't enough to coax her out of her current state.
Riku put a hand on Light's cheek, running his finger lightly over a bruise there. They hadn't gone easy on her, which was awful. Someone as strong as her should have been able to fight them off; they must have been more powerful than he thought.

Someone's here? Lightning thought in her unconsciousness. Get me out of this...please... She'd try to wake up soon and help out in any way she could. She didn't like being dead weight, because she wasn't dead. She was too valuable for Darren and the others to kill.
Riku lifted his eyes to the chains, which held Lightning's hands above her head. He put an arm around her waist as he stepped closer, that way she wouldn't fall when he released her. In his other hand he called to his Keyblade, which he held to the lock on the chains. A small white light came out of the tip, unlocking them.

Light felt the restraints give way, her body falling. But it didn't fall far thanks to the arm that was around her, that arm pulling her closer to the person that freed her. A hero was here...Somebody came to save her.
Riku wrapped his other arm around Lightning when he dismissed his Keyblade, holding her close. She was limp in his grasp, but that was alright; she wouldn't have to stand on her own. He didn't pick her up immediately, however, for he heard footsteps and voices.

"Ri...ku...?" Light whispered softly, feeling the strong arms that supported her. He was the only person she imagined saving her, the person who always found her whenever she was in trouble. He was the warmth that she sensed a minute ago. Riku came to save her.
