A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Sora glanced over at Selphie, surprised when she poked his cheek. He ignored the feeling that physical contact with a girl gave him as he looked in front of him again. "Nothing to say," he said simply. He didn't know what caused him and Kairi to break up in the first place, so there wasn't much for him to say on the subject.

Selphie shook her head again. "Sora, stop playing games," she said, a light taunting tone to her voice. "You can't fool me." She batted her eyelashes at him, trying to persuade him to just let her in and tell her what was going on.

 

Kairi blinked, recognizing that tone Selphie was using. She was flirting with Sora! But why?

"Selphie, I mean it," Sora said, eyebrows furrowing ever-so-slightly in agitation. "There's nothing to say." It wasn't like he was going to tell her what happened when he found Kairi in the Secret Place. That was way too personal to share with a girl he hadn't seen in years.

Selphie frowned. "Aww, fine," she whined. "But I'll let you know a little secret, okay? Whatever Kairi did to you, it won't happen again. I'll make sure of it." She would never do whatever Kairi did; it obviously hurt Sora, who was too sweet to put down.

Sora blinked, confused. He looked over at Selphie beside him, his eyes locking onto hers. "What do you mean?" he immediately asked. She wasn't planning on nagging Kairi over this, was she? He hoped not; there was enough drama already.

Kairi was wondering the same thing Sora was, and she was glad he asked. Selphie sounded...different right now. What did she mean?

 

Selphie only smiled. "Don't you worry, silly," she said, lightly tapping the tip of Sora's nose. "You're one of the last people that I would ever dream of hurting. Kairi may have done it, but I won't."

 

Kairi was confused. What was Selphie saying? Was she really going after Sora? Just after what happened between them?

"H-huh?" Sora asked dumbly, feeling Selphie's fingertip touch his nose. The way she was talking, it almost sounded like...No, not even Selphie would do that. She wasn't flirting with him; she was just being her normal self. Her normal, confusing self.

Selphie only giggled, standing up straight as she kept her hands linked behind her back. "Sora, you really are clueless," she joked sweetly. "But...it's cute." She smiled at him, batting her eyelashes a few times.

 

Kairi couldn't move, not able to believe that Selphie would do this. She thought she was her friend? Friend's didn't do...this.

Sora noticed Selphie batting her eyelashes at him, and he spoke of that instead of directly answering her comment about him being cute. "Do you have something in your eyes?" he asked, his tone showing that he was clueless.

Selphie giggled again. "Oh, Sora, you're so funny!" she laughed with a smile. Aww, it's so cute! she thought giddily, looking down at the boy before her. How could Kairi let him go?

 

Kairi had to admit that Sora's cluelessness made her want to chuckle, but Selphie's response didn't. Her friend was actually flirting with her...ex. Kairi didn't think that was really...nice.

A light chuckle left Sora's lips as he shifted his gaze to the ground, also lifting a hand and running it over the back of his spiky hair. So...Selphie didn't have something in her eyes? Or was she laughing because it was obvious she did?

Kairi wasn't sure she wanted to watch this anymore, tempted to turn and leave. Sora was laughing...and with Selphie. Maybe...he was better off with her then. She didn't make him sad, like Kairi tended to do.

Sora felt like that one chuckle was forced, so he didn't bother forcing any others out. He lowered his hand back down to his side, looking down at Selphie's shoes without thought. She was...what? He didn't get what she was doing, clueless.

Selphie kept her green eyes on the boy on the ground in front of her, her smile still present. "I'm glad I could make you laugh. That shows I'm doing a good job at cheering you up."

Sora looked up, seeing Selphie's bright green eyes and smile. "Y-yeah," he said without thought, not wanting to create a scene. She probably couldn't tell that he was lying, and that was fine with him. He started accepting that she wouldn't be leaving soon, so he was getting used to it.

"I have a better idea, though," Selphie said, her voice still sickly sweet as she continued to try and flirt with Sora. "How about we go get some sea salt ice cream? My treat."

 

Kairi turned her back against the tree, looking down at the ground. Now Selphie was asking him out on a date? The redhead fought tears, though she knew this was her fault. But she felt a little betrayed by what Selphie was doing...and if Sora went along with it...

Sora looked down at the ground, hearing sweetness behind Selphie's offer. "I don't know, Selphie..." he said softly. He really didn't feel like running into anybody in town, and he wasn't too hungry anyway.

"C'mon. It'll be fun," Selphie said with that same smile. Sora wouldn't accept? That was a shame... She was hoping to spend some time with him.

 

Walk away, Kairi, the redhead told herself. If she didn't want to wait around for a positive answer from Sora, dreading that response, then she needed to leave. Yet, she couldn't get her feet to move.

"...I'm really not hungry," Sora said after a few moments, lifting his gaze to Selphie. But he felt bad for declining the offer, so he added something on a beat later. "Maybe some other time."

"Oh... Okay then," Selphie said, trying not to sound disappointed. Oh well... At least he said he'd be up for it later...

 

Kairi felt relief at the answer, though she knew that she shouldn't care. She ended things between her and Sora. So why was she eavesdropping like this?

Sora nodded slightly, his gaze going back to the ocean after a few moments. He was surprised he was talking even this much; Selphie was really dragging things out of him. He wasn't sure if that was good or bad, just accepting it.

"Do...you wanna do something else then?" Selphie asked after a second. "Staring at the island can't be all that exciting, you know?" She smiled a little, glancing the way Sora was looking before gazing at him.

"No thanks," Sora said, shaking his head. He was content just to sit here and stare at that island, even if it was boring in Selphie's eyes. If she didn't want to stay with him, then she was free to leave.

Selphie blinked in slight shock, not expecting Sora to turn her down outright. She nodded silently, her smile fading. Well...she didn't know what she was supposed to do now...

Sora brought up a hand, running his finger under his nose at this moment of silence. He wasn't used to this, having even a brief silence with Selphie. But he was sure that it wouldn't last long; she would say something soon enough.
