Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"...Would you be willing to answer my questions?" Light asked softly, looking back up at Riku's face. He was the only person she knew, other than Serah, that could help her.
Riku nodded once. "Of course," he said softly. He would do anything to make things easier for her. All she had to do was ask.

Light felt a weak smile tug at her lips, that being the first sign of happiness she showed in the past month or so. Did she actually miss smiling? She didn't smile much, but--"We should probably sit down," Light said softly, interrupting her own thoughts. There was a lot to discuss.
Riku nodded slightly and motioned with his arm to the couch right behind Lightning. "Ladies first," he said softly. He wasn't trying to be funny, but polite. His mother always taught him to treat a woman well.

Light hummed softly, turning and walking around the couch. She sat down near her mug of tea, which held onto its warmth because of the cup it was in. She lifted it and took a sip before she thought to offer Riku something. "Do you need anything?"
Riku sat down beside Lightning, letting his arm stretch across the back of the couch behind her. He shook his head. "I'm good," he said softly. He was here for her, nothing else.

"Okay," Light said with a small nod, putting her tea back onto the table in front of her before leaning back into the couch, aware Riku's arm was behind her. She wanted him closer, but she had a feeling he'd ask why she felt that way if she requested him to be closer. And she didn't have an answer.
Riku kept his eyes on Lightning, a few seconds passing before he spoke. "So...whatcha got?" he asked softly, referring to her questions. "Ask away." He was ready whenever she was.

Light shook her head softly, looking up at Riku beside her. "I don't know where to start," she said honestly. "Can I ask you to recap the past few months of my life?" That was a big question.
"Uh, yeah... Sure," Riku answered with a small nod. That was a lot, but he would do it, just because she asked. Lightning's well-being was important to him, and he would tell her every detail, even if some of them hurt because they weren't reality anymore.

"Okay," Light said softly, nodding faintly herself. She was ready to hear this, though it would be weird hearing about her own life and not remembering it. Or maybe hearing it would help her recall it. She'd find out soon enough.
Riku didn't have trouble remembering what happened a few months back, so he told Light everything. Starting where her memory left off, after what happened with Maleficent first, he explained what happened to the witch and how Lightning was involved with her, before she died. Then he explained one of the more sensitive subjects: the two of them. Riku told Lightning about how happy they were, even with the problems with Ven and Riku getting into trouble with his parents. Then, he told her the story of what happened with Warp, and then the destruction of the Islands. He was more upset when speaking about his home, but it had to be done to help Lightning. Once he finished that story with Jafar and Hades, and Fang and Lightning, he spoke of how she ended things between them because she felt she was bad for him. After Riku explained why he joined the Guardian Corps and what happened between them then, he filled her in on how he had to flee the world because of the Heartless. "...That was the last time I saw you before...this," Riku said, shrugging slightly.

Riku's explanation was a long one, full of detail. Lightning dozed off by the end of it, having scooted closer to Riku earlier and leaned her head on his shoulder as she listened to the story. He hadn't complained. She faintly heard the rest of the story, but she didn't believe it. How did she push Riku away? And why? And she seriously went to the future? That was an insane story. How could she forget that?
Riku looked down at Lightning, not hearing any response from her once he finished. He had noticed her scoot closer during the story, and his heart skipped a beat whenever her head rested on his shoulder. He fought the urge to rub her arm like he used to, but he managed to complete the story. "...Light?" he asked softly. Was she listening?

"Sorry," Light mumbled, eyes still shut. "I'm awake." She was just trying to process all of this. For a second, she felt like she had a grip on something, but now it was fading away. What was that? A face?
Riku nodded slightly, not moving. He kept his arm around Lightning and his eyes stayed on her, but he didn't say anything. He simply hummed. With Light, nothing really needed to be said. She knew him...or, she did.

That face...Lightning thought, pulling it back up into her mind. The mental picture soon expanded, changing from the boy's foggy face to a clear one, with his body and weapon also being shown. She zoomed out further on the picture and gasped, opening her eyes and seeing five teens there. Darren, Zane, Gual, Kamon, and Rena. The five that haunted her in the future were the ones who kidnapped her here.
Riku furrowed his eyebrows, his body stiffening in worry at the gasp. "What?" he asked softly. "What's wrong?" She hadn't said anything, so he couldn't think of anything that could have scared her.

That story about the future really is true, Lightning thought. She saw those teens on a frozen Destiny Islands. "I remembered who the teens were that tortured me," she said, looking up at Riku while keeping her head on his shoulder. He wouldn't know them, but she did. And that was what she tried so hard to hold onto!
"...Good, or bad?" Riku asked, lifting an eyebrow. He didn't really know if that was a good thing or not, considering what those kids did to her. That was why he asked for Lightning's opinion.

"Bad in the sense that it won't help the government track them down," Lightning said after a moments thought. "They were the same ones who helped...um...What's-his-face, in the future." The lackeys Riku mentioned in his story.
"Warp?" Riku filled in for her, his eyebrow staying raised. They were the same ones who helped him in the future? That was....bizarre, and totally unexpected. "Well, they won't be able to help him now. He's dead."

"Did we know before that they originated from this world?" Light asked Riku, having already figured out that they wouldn't be able to work with Warp, since she apparently put an end to him. That story about going to the future was true...That was insane.
"No," Riku answered slowly, shaking his head a little as he glanced down at his legs, and the lack of space between himself and Lightning. "I don't think you ever figured that out." He wouldn't have known, since he couldn't remember that. It hadn't happened yet, and never would.

Light hummed softly, lowering her gaze as she looked out at the room. She supposed it didn't really make that much of a difference after all...why did she choose to cling to that memory? Was it so that if she had a starting point that connected her past and present, she could work from it and regain the rest of her memories? Yeah, that sounded like the most logical possibility to her.
