Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku guessed it didn't matter whether he remembered that or not. What was important was that Lightning remembered something important to what was happening now. He was happy about it, even if it wasn't a good memory.

But...that flash is all I remember, Light thought after a moment, shutting her eyes. Nothing else was coming back to her, so her plan was a failure. How was she supposed to recover everything at this rate?
"One down," Riku said softly, filling the silence as he turned his head to look at Lightning once more. "A few more to go." He was trying to be positive, even if she had more than a few memories to retrieve.

"...Right," Lightning said softly, not opposing Riku's optimistic nature. She had a lot more to remember than that, and it would be hard to recover it, but she guessed it was okay since she at least recalled one thing tonight. And Riku was with her. She couldn't be against that.
Riku didn't say anything more, though he did have the sudden urge to kiss Lightning's hair. He lowered his gaze to his legs, trying not think any more about it. They couldn't have that...not for a while. And not ever if Lightning made it so.

"Riku?" Light asked softly after a moment, her eyes remaining shut. She had something on her mind since the end of his story, and she felt it was necessary for her to be honest with what she was feeling right now.
"Hm?" Riku asked, his eyebrows furrowed slightly over his eyes. Light's voice snapped him out of his thoughts, and he always did like the way she said his name. But...what about her? Would he ever be able to call her Claire again?

"I can't say for sure what I was feeling right before this happened," Light said, furrowing her eyebrows slightly. "But even if I don't have my memories, my feelings are still here. And I'm glad you're here." So, she probably wanted him with her before this happened too. It was just a guess, but it seemed logical.
Riku turned his head to look down at Lightning at the words, and his eyes softened. She...wanted him here? "That's good, Light," he finally said after a moment, his voice soft as he gazed down at her. "...That's good."

Light opened her eyes, turning her head on Riku's shoulder and looking up at him. She met his eyes instantly, and she didn't bother saying anything. She was glad Riku told her about her past; now she knew her feelings were rational. She loved him.
Riku caught the look in Light's eyes whenever she looked at him, and he gazed right back. One side of his mouth turned up slightly into a weak smile, the boy unable to help it with the way she was looking at him.

Light caught onto Riku's faint smile, and it drew one out of her as well. She didn't tear her eyes away from his, because she didn't want to. They were together now, and he wasn't leaving her, at least for the night. She didn't want to ever lose him. That was why she clung to him when she was forgetting everything. He was worth holding onto.
Riku recognized that smile, having seen it before; it was genuine. Lightning hadn't smiled much when he was with her, mostly because she was aggravated that he wouldn't leave her alone. But maybe it was good that he didn't. She wanted him here...right?

Light eventually turned her head on Riku's shoulder and shut her eyes, exhaling a soft breath. He was so warm...He made her feel safe, just like he always did in the past. She was alright now that she was with him.
Riku kept his arm around Lightning, though he didn't let his eyes leave her. She wished to remember everything, and he wished for things to be the way they once were. With everyone happy, the Islands nice and warm, Lightning in his arms. That was what he wanted.

"You're bored enough that you're just going to stare at me?" Light thought, a faint memory flashing in her mind. She smiled faintly just because it was something, and that something concerned Riku. She had been speaking to him, when he stared at her when she was resting. You always stare.
Riku leaned his head back after a few moments, closing his eyes as he took in the feeling of Light leaning against his side, her head on his shoulder. It was just like things used to be...even if they weren't really. It was a sad thought, but he was okay with it. As long as she was alright and with him.

Light exhaled a soft breath, snuggling her head against Riku's shoulder a little bit subconsciously. She was comfortable except for her legs being a little cool. But she didn't feel like moving away from Riku to get a blanket.
Riku felt himself smile again at the small movement, which caused him to turn his head toward Lightning as he kept it against the back of the couch. He didn't need anything right now; he was okay with this: the silence and the moment with Light.

Light remained still once she was comfortable, starting to doze off. Was there anything left to say? She couldn't say "I love you", because it didn't feel right, but that was what she was feeling. She would tell him as soon as the moment felt right.
Riku released a soft breath through his nose, relaxing as he sat on Lightning's couch, that same girl beside him. How long had he wanted a moment like this? It felt like ages, but it was really just about two months, including the time when he was searching for Lightning. Two months too long.

Lightning fell asleep a few minutes later, Riku's warm arm still around her and her side against his. Last night, she had trouble sleeping out of fear, but tonight, she had no fear. Only comfort.
Riku listened to Light's even breathing for a while, feeling her form relax once she was asleep. It was nice, being this way with her again. It was nice enough for him to fall sleep soon afterward, his arm staying around her as he drifted into unconsciousness.

The next day

Light slept in later than she usually did, if there was such a thing as "usual" anymore. Like Riku said last night, she lost a lot of sleep with everything going on. And while she may have been strong on the outside (for the most part) she was pretty broken on the inside. The torture and betrayal was rough. But she'd keep her pain to herself, just like she always did.

Riku had slept in later that morning, not meaning to but not having much of a choice. He lacked sleep because of how often he searched for Lightning, but that was alright with the way he woke up. She had still been tucked under his arm, even after the whole night. Riku knew that he couldn't take advantage of her, though; her memory loss gave him no reason to act differently than he had before. That was why he was in the kitchen now, making breakfast for both of them. Serah wasn't here anymore to do it herself.
