Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Once Riku left, Light woke up enough to lay down on the couch. But now she was waking up completely again, having gotten all the sleep she could for the night. She sighed softly, lifting a hand and rubbing at her eyes. She was so drained...
Riku opened a cabinet, looking for the plates. He searched a few more, accidentally slamming the last one closed because he had to hurry to turn the sausage over. He was still a little lost in his thoughts, which was why he hadn't been paying attention.

Lightning instantly jumped, bolting upright on the couch and looking around. That sounded like a gunshot. She looked and saw nothing and sensed no threat, everything appearing normal from where she was. She sighed shakily, lifting her hands to her face. She was too worked up.
Riku was unaware of Lightning's fearful reaction, though he was thinking about her. When he'd woken up that morning, he hadn't wanted to move; he knew that could be the last time they were ever that close. What if she got her memories back, and realized what she really wanted before the Heartless invasion? What if she remembered that she wasn't happy with him, or thought the opposite of him?

Chill out, Lightning ordered herself, slowly lowering her hands from her face. She had to stop being so on edge. Maybe a shower would help sooth her nerves. She got off the couch and started towards the hall, where she could go to the bathroom and take a nice, warm, comforting shower.
Riku managed to finish breakfast within a few minutes, and he sat down at the table, already eating. He'd checked the living room and saw that Lightning wasn't on the couch anymore, which meant she was up. She would come in the kitchen soon, where her breakfast would be waiting for her.

Lightning took a long shower, practically using up all the warm water. She couldn't help it; the warmth was the only thing that comforted her in this state. Once she was done with the shower, she put on a black shirt and a jean-skirt longer than her usual one, the length reaching mid-thigh. She threw back her hair, too, just because she did. She walked out to the living room and then went to the kitchen, smelling food. Riku made breakfast?
Riku bit into his toast, and just after that he sensed another presence. Looking up from his plate, he saw Lightning, and his eyes danced over her figure. He'd hardly seen her out of her usual outfit; this one was new. "Morning," he said, his mouth half-full as he looked to her face.

"Hey," Light said with a faint nod, tearing her eyes away from Riku and seeing another plate on the table. She remembered this...He did this for her in the past. But unfortunately, that memory had never been lost in the first place, so she wasn't recalling anything she lost. There was still so much she was missing and not recovering.
Riku glanced at the plate when Lightning did, so he didn't bother telling her to have a seat. She was welcome to, and besides, it was her house. He was the guest. Riku focused on his food, continuing to eat in silence.

"You know, the guest isn't supposed to prepare food for their host," Light said, walking over to the chair and sitting down across from Riku. She could have at least made her own food if not his too, unless he made food because he was too hungry to wait.
Riku shrugged. "It's no big deal," he said, glancing up at Lightning. He didn't mind. He had to cook for himself all the time, so he was used to it.

"Still," Lightning said, picking up her fork and playing with the food a little, her eyes following the motion. "If you're staying for lunch, I'm cooking." She wasn't the best cook, but she could make something decent. She owed him a lot, from everything she remembered.
"I'll take you up on that," Riku said with a small smile, then biting into a piece of bacon. How long had it been since someone actually cooked food for him? His parents loved him dearly, but they worked too early and late to prepare dinners. He'd gone over to Kairi's a few times whenever she had a big feast, but that was about it.

Light was surprised to find herself smiling softly, her pale blue eyes glancing up at Riku for a second before she looked back down to her plate. She should probably eat. She started with the egg, silently joyful that Riku was staying. He never said when he was leaving again.
Riku continued to eat as Light sat across from him, and he found himself glancing up at her a few times throughout the meal. It was hard not to look at her. He still loved her after all.

Light finished up with her meal after a little while, the food having been delicious and filling. "You're a good cook," she commented softly, looking up at the young man across from her. She had remembered that, but it felt like forever since she ate any of his food. This was...nice.
"Thanks," Riku said, leaning back in his chair and placing his hands behind his head. "Learned all by myself." He had to, since no one was around to teach him. His parents had been busy bringing home money.

"You don't sound too humble about it," Lightning said, arching a brow. But she was only kidding, and if Riku could read her as well as she thought he could, then they wouldn't have a confrontation about it. He just sounded proud in how he taught himself how to cook.
Riku smirked slightly. "I don't know about you, but I don't exactly know any guys that can cook," he said. He was proud of himself, and he had a feeling Lightning was proud of him too. It was something normal about him outside of the whole Keyblade thing.

"I don't know many guys that aren't prideful, either," Light said jokingly, rising from her seat and grabbing her plate so she could wash it. "Thanks for proving my stereotype right." She arched a brow at Riku again, wondering what kind of response he would come up with to that.
"Heh," Riku chuckled once, his smirk still in tact. "It's in our blood." That was his defense, because Lightning was right; a lot of guys he knew were prideful, just for different reasons. It made sense.

"Good thing women have no issues like that," Light said, smirking slightly as she also grabbed Riku's plate and silverware from where she was standing. She stood upright and walked over to the sink with both plates, just planning on washing them in the sink.
"I beg to differ," Riku disagreed. He leaned back in his chair, the front legs of it lifting into the air. He balanced on the back two legs with ease. "All of you are stubborn at least once in your lives." He'd witnessed it quite often with Kairi, and with Lightning. Namine too, sometimes.

"That's not such a bad thing," Lightning said, placing the dishes in the sink and turning on the water, also squirting in some dish soap after a second. She set down the soap and then reached for a nearby sponge, waiting for the sink to fill up a little more.
