Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Light shut her eyes, disgusted with herself. She should have been stronger than this. Why was she ready to cry? She didn't cry. But...she was about to. She wasn't as strong as she came off to be.
Riku opened his mouth to speak, but his breath got caught in his throat. He wanted to say he was sorry, that he didn't mean to cause Lightning pain and make her upset. It was just how he was sometimes, and she wasn't the only victim. Sora and Kairi were too at some point. It wasn't fair.

Are you...going to leave now, Riku? Lightning silently wondered, not shifting her position. He asked the question, so he must have been thinking about leaving. She couldn't say she blamed him; she wasn't good company now.
"Maybe...I should go," Riku said, though that wasn't what he wanted to say at all. He opened his eyes staring down at the floor. Lightning wasn't okay, but he didn't think he was doing anything to help. If anything, he made her more upset.

"If that's what you want," Light whispered, fighting the moisture that increased in her eyes. She wouldn't force him to stay with her; he...didn't want to be here. She had to accept that. But, was he giving up on...them? On her?
Riku sighed, uncrossing his arms and letting them fall to his sides. "That's not what I want, Light," he said softly. "It's what needs to be done." He wasn't good for her. He gave the enemy an easier route to her, and now he wasn't helping her recover. He even put her in danger with the Heartless.

"If that's what you think," Light said softly. She didn't think he had to go, but he did. She wouldn't argue with him, because she didn't want to. She didn't want to fight ever again.
Riku turned his head, looking over in Light's direction for the first time in a while. When he saw the way she held herself, he knew that it matched the tone of her voice perfectly. She was upset, and he balled his hands into tighter fists, blaming himself.

Light believed she finally felt Riku's gaze on her, but she didn't move from her position. It wasn't like she wanted him to see her face when she was like this. What was wrong with her?! She was so screwed up. She shouldn't have been like this.
Riku's feet moved without him telling them to, the boy approaching Lightning as she sat on the couch. He stopped directly in front of her and bent down slightly, his hands now free from fists as he lifted them to her knee and the side of her head. "Light..."

Light felt the emotions surge when Riku touched her, but she managed to remain as composed as she could have been. She needed to keep it together. She shouldn't have been this affected by everything; she was trained to be stoic and apathetic. This was not stoic and apathetic.
Riku squeezed Lightning's knee, inching his way closer to her. "...Claire, look at me," he said softly, the name leaving his lips without thought. It was like it was natural. Something he didn't have to think about. It was just...there, in his heart.

Light opened her eyes at the name, surprised. Claire? When had she given Riku permission to call her that name? But...instead of obeying Riku's request, she lightly shook her head against her knees. She didn't want him seeing her like this.
Riku inched himself a little closer, and if Lightning lifted her head, her face would be incredibly close to his. "...Please," he begged softly. "Just look at me." She didn't have to say anything. He would do the talking, or at least try.

Light shut her eyes again, hearing Riku's request. His plea. "...Give me a minute," she requested softly. She needed a few seconds just to wipe some of the emotion off her face.
Riku nodded slightly, even if Light wasn't looking. He kept his hand on the side of her head, his other hand on her knee. He didn't move away, not wanting to. And to think, he was planning on leaving just a second ago. It was odd how quickly things could change.

Light exhaled a soft breath, summoning up the stoic nature that she displayed so often. After a few seconds, she lifted her head out of her knees, her head resting on her knees as she saw Riku right in front of her, very close.
Riku knew that his face would be incredibly close to Lightning's whenever she looked at him, but he froze up when he saw her eyes so close. There was so much vulnerability in them, even if he could see a hint of a mask starting to come over them. "...I..." he started softly, his hands remaining where they were. Everything he wanted to say...it was gone.

Lightning lowered her gaze to Riku's chest, hearing him trail off. She didn't get her mask to appear quickly enough; she could tell Riku caught the look in her eyes. Stupid, she mentally insulted herself. She should have waited a few more seconds before looking up.
Riku saw Lightning look away, but he didn't. His eyes stayed on her pale blues, the boy trying to think of what he wanted to say. He lost it, however, when he saw those beautiful eyes, and the sorrow in them. Lightning was broken.

Light kept her gaze down, feeling Riku's eyes on her. She tried hard to keep up a small mask, just because she hated feeling vulnerable. She just...wanted to not feel so terrible.
"...You're beautiful," Riku said softly, the words leaving his lips without thought. But that was the thing, he had been thinking it, and so he spoke the thought aloud. Even if he was surprised that he confessed such a thing, especially when he and Light weren't on that level anymore, he didn't apologize for it or take it back. It was the truth.

Light blinked in surprise, automatically lifting her gaze back to Riku's aqua eyes. What? She didn't understand, where that came from, what relevance it had to this situation, and why it got her to look up at Riku.
Riku caught Light's gaze again, but he didn't stay silent for long. "Everything about you...is beautiful," he said softly, confessing once more. "Your eyes, your smile...your spirit, your strength. All of it. It's amazing." She was amazing.

Lightning felt the surprise filter out the other emotions she had been feeling, taking a larger part in her heart. Where was all of this coming from? And, she knew she and Riku had a thing, but this...It was a lot to take in.
