A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Kairi glanced from behind the tree again, seeing Selphie's face. She knew that look, and she could tell Selphie didn't like the rejection, even by somebody as sweet as Sora. But, Selphie was being really persistent...and a little pushy. Kairi could understand why Sora would say no.

Sora lowered his hand to the sand, sitting upright with his legs extended in front of him. This silence was starting to feel awkward now, and he could feel Selphie's stare on him. It was...weird.

Selphie pursed her lips, tilting her head again. "You look kinda stiff," she pointed out randomly, seeing how Sora sat up really tall. Why was that?

Sora looked over at Selphie, humming slightly at the conclusion she made. Was he really? He thought that he just had good posture, but he probably was tense as well because of how stressed he was.

"Here," Selphie said, eagerly walking over and kneeling down behind Sora. "Let me help with that." She then brought her hands up to the boy's shoulders, beginning to massage them with her fingers.

 

Kairi's eyes widened. Wow... That was all she could even think. Was Selphie...desperate?

Sora's eyes widened slightly in surprise, but he turned his head forward since he couldn't see Selphie where she was. What was she doing...? He didn't tell her to back off like he should have, the girl behind him actually massaging his shoulders in a gentle and soothing way.

Kairi could only stare, actually feeling a little hurt, even though she shouldn't have. But, even if she and Sora were over, she didn't like that he didn't tell Selphie to back off. What did that mean?

 

Selphie leaned over a little, still moving her fingers over Sora's shoulders. "Feel good?" she asked him, hoping that it was making him feel better.

"...Yeah," Sora said softly after a few moments. It actually felt really good. The most affection he had gotten lately had been from Aqua, and that was just petting his hair a little bit. This was more...intimate. And even if he didn't want to receive this kind of treatment from Selphie, he couldn't deny that she was doing a good job making him drop his guard and relax.

Selphie smiled. "Good!" she chirped, glad to hear that. She only continued to massage Sora's shoulders, hoping to keep him content and relaxed.

 

Kairi heard Sora's answer, and she just stood there. She didn't know what else to do...

Sora shut his eyes after a few moments, his head hanging a little as his shoulders relaxed. Selphie had been right...he really was tense. When was the last time he actually relaxed? It had been a really long time, since he had been running around so much.

"...Did Kairi ever do this for you?" Selphie asked after a few moments, her motion not halting. "If she did, I don't think you would have been this tense..."

 

She's talking about me again? Kairi wondered, furrowing her eyebrows. She decided that she would sit down, not planning to leave if she was being brought up again.

"Uh..." Sora said dumbly, feeling himself tense a little at the mention of Kairi. He really didn't want to trash talk her, even if she had really hurt him by breaking up with him without telling him why. Instead of doing that, he just answered the question. "...She didn't do it too often."

"Mm. It shows," Selphie said, frowning slightly. By the way his muscles were so knotted, and how stressed he seemed, Sora couldn't be anything but tense. "...She must be slacking."

 

Unbelievable, Kairi thought, staring down at the ground with her back to the tree. She remained out of sight, not that Sora or Selphie could see her anyway. But still...better safe than sorry.

"Selphie," Sora said softly in warning. Even if he and Kairi weren't together, that didn't mean that it was alright for Selphie to say things like that. She hadn't been slacking, she was just...Just what? Why was he defending her after what she did to him?

"What?" Selphie asked, peeking over Sora's shoulder at him. "It's true. Plus, she hurt your feelings. Aren't you mad at her for that?" She would be, if some guy did that to her.

"Not...mad," Sora said, realizing that wasn't the correct word to describe what he was feeling. He was hurt, and confused, and lost in more ways than one. How was he supposed to keep living without his Light? She was his reason for existence.

Selphie took her hands back from Sora's shoulders, and she moved so her legs were tucked under her and to the side. She leaned against one of her hands, closer to Sora this way. "Disappointed?" she asked, tilting her head as she looked at him from his side.

Sora lifted a hand, scratching the side of his head when he heard Selphie's question. "Uh," he said dumbly, not answering that one. But at the same time, his response showed his feelings. Yes, he was disappointed. She hadn't even told him why she broke up with him...

"I see..." Selphie said, trailing off. She understood now. "Well, to be quite honest with you, Sora, you deserve somebody much better. Somebody that wouldn't ever disappoint you. You know?"

 

Kairi hugged her knees, staring at the ground as she remained out of sight. How could Selphie, who used to be one of her best friends, talk about her like this? It was cruel...

Nobody's a better person than Kairi, Sora thought, though he didn't defend her verbally. "That's kind of you, Selphie, but nobody's perfect." There was bound to be disappointment in every relationship. But he wished that he wasn't feeling so much of it right now, especially concerning Kairi.

Selphie shrugged. "Even if that's true, the best relationships involve somebody taking care of you and listening to you when you need to talk," she said. "Kind of...like me."

 

It's official then. Selphie wants Sora for herself...Kairi concluded in silence. Had it always been that way? And Selphie was just her friend so she could be closer to Sora?

Sora blinked, sitting more upright again when Selphie said those last two words. "W-what?" he stuttered without thought. Where in the world had that comment come from? He hadn't seen that coming at all...

Kairi turned around at Sora's question, peeking around the tree to see him and Selphie. What would Selphie say now? Could she do any worse?

 

Selphie blushed, shyly lowering her gaze before lifting it back to Sora. "You know... What I'm doing now," she elaborated, raising a hand and lightly playing with one of Sora's spikes on the side of his head. "I'm listening to you when you need to talk...and at the same time taking care of you. It makes sense."

You're looking into things too much, Sora thought after hearing what Selphie had to say. And here he thought she was flirting with him...No; she was just trying to be a good friend. "Oh..." he said, accepting that answer and dismissing the notion that she was flirting with him.

Kairi released a silent breath in shock, her expression twisting into one of disbelief and betrayal. Was Sora seriously okay with this? And here she thought he still loved her... Maybe he was moving on faster than she thought...

 

Selphie nodded. "Mm-hm," she hummed, continuing to play with Sora's hair as she remained in close proximity to him. He didn't seem to mind...
