Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Just follow your heart, Lightning told herself, feeling all the emotions Riku's kiss caused. She lightly leaned into the kiss, her hand slowly sliding from the top of Riku's head to the back of it, sitting in his shorter silver hair and staying there as they kissed.
That touch only acted as encouragement, and Riku leaned into the kiss more as well. Lightning... He'd missed her, missed being this way with her. If only she hadn't ended things...they could have stayed this way for so long.

A tear left Light's eye, trickling down her cheek. It left without her permission, and she didn't bother trying to take it back. The tear was just a small display of the struggle and pain she was facing. The rest she held back.
Riku's hand was on Lightning's cheek, and when he felt the tear against his skin, he realized that something was wrong. The wall of lust and want that had blocked his logic slipped away at the tear, and Riku's eyebrows furrowed. He pulled away from the kiss suddenly, his hands leaving Light's form. This wasn't right.

Light opened her eyes in surprise, Riku suddenly pulling back from the kiss and letting go of her. She looked at him through moist, confused eyes, not understanding what just happened.
"I..." Riku said, bringing a hand to his hair as he took a step away. He shook his head slightly, his eyebrows furrowed over his eyes. "I shouldn't have done that." He shouldn't have kissed Lightning.

Light lowered her feet to the ground, her hands then sitting in her lap. "...I didn't mind," she said softly, her eyes still moist as they rested on Riku. She didn't know why she was so ready to cry. She just...felt so trapped. It was like she was imprisoned by her memory loss and tortured with feelings she couldn't understand or (logically) act upon.
Riku took another step away, shaking his head again. He knew she didn't mind, and he didn't mind either. He loved it, in fact, but... "This can't happen," he said, referring to them acting so romantically with one another. Lightning had to focus on recovering, not romanticizing with him.

Lightning didn't know how to respond, though she knew what Riku was referring to. It was just one kiss...It wasn't that big of a deal. At least, it shouldn't have been. But it was big enough to bring up her tears for some reason.
"I-I'm sorry," Riku said, seeing the tears in Lightning's eyes. "I want this for us...so much. But...we can't." Not right now. She had to focus on herself. He could wait.

"But...I think I want it too," Light whispered softly, faintly shaking her head. All that she wanted was to be close to Riku, and it wasn't just because he saved her life a few times. She yearned for him romantically.
Riku lowered his hand from his hair, his eyes soft and sad as he gazed at Lightning. "...How do you know?" he asked quietly. "It was hard to tell what you wanted before you lost your memories. What if it's not the same decision?" What if she was doing opposite of what she chose beforehand?

Lightning looked down at her lap, not having an answer to Riku's questions. She didn't know how she felt, or if she wanted this. She may have felt like she wanted it now, but she could have been the opposite before. How was she supposed to figure out what the truth was?
Riku released a small breath, his eyebrows furrowing as he looked over to the side. A few feet separated him and Lightning, and he closed his eyes. "...We can't do this," he said softly, his voice holding less sadness than he was really feeling. He and Light couldn't be together.

Light looked back up at Riku, shaking her head faintly. "Don't say that..." she said softly. She didn't want to hear that; it broke her heart. Feeling what she was feeling now, she became more sure that she didn't want to push Riku out of her life. But she wasn't completely sure for some reason.
Riku didn't move or say anything, hearing the sorrow in Lightning's voice. He wanted to make it go away, because it broke his heart to hear it. But...what could he do? He knew they couldn't keep doing this. There was too much tension for him to fight it any longer, though. He wanted Lightning, but...

Lightning looked down at her lap, staying silent when Riku was the same. If they couldn't do this, then Riku would have to leave, because if they were together, they would get close like they just did. And she didn't think Riku could leave again, even if he brought it up a few minutes ago. Right?
Riku opened his eyes, turning his head a little to look at the woman he loved. "Claire..." he said softly. However, he didn't know what to say after the name left his lips. He wanted to hold her and kiss her like he never had before, but he couldn't. Not anymore.

Again? Light thought, lifting her gaze to Riku. He said that name...the name that she normally despised. But hearing it leave his lips, it was impossible to be mad at him for using it. She actually, sort of, liked it.
Riku's hands balled into fists at the look in her eyes, and he knew that his own were stinging because he was sad too. "...I love you," he told Light softly. "That's why we can't do this." He loved her enough to put her first, which meant she had to regain her memories and get back to who she used to be. The old Lightning, not the vulnerable and sad Lightning.

Light's eyes became moist again at the sight of Riku's eyes, her gaze on his aqua orbs. "...Then what can we do?" she asked softly. She didn't see what other options they had; Riku couldn't restrain his feelings forever. And she didn't want him to.
"Fight it," Riku answered with a small nod, his eyes still stinging. "Until you get your memories back, we fight it." Every urge, every feeling, every desire. It couldn't happen again.

Light shook her head softly, looking away when the moisture increased in her eyes. "I don't want to fight anymore," she said softly, not just referring to their emotions. She didn't want to fight for her memories, and she didn't want to fight Darren if he ever came for her again. She was sick of fighting. And heartbroken all together.
Riku ground his teeth together, fighting his emotions as he looked at Lightning. "I can't take advantage of you," he confessed softly. "You were making up your mind before this, and now that the idea's gone, I can't take it as an opportunity to get you back." It wasn't going to be one. Riku wanted Lightning to make this decision on her own, in her right mind. The one that was lost.

Lightning nodded softly after a moment, gaze down on the ground. She understood that, but Riku's integrity made her like him more. He didn't want to take advantage of her while she was down. He probably thought that was what he did with the kiss, and maybe he did, but he also comforted her. Did this mean he wouldn't be able to comfort her anymore?
