Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Light lowered the glass once she drank enough, leaning forward and setting it on the table in front of the couch. She leaned back into the couch once she was done, feeling Riku's arm lightly against her head.
"So...what now?" Riku asked softly, then taking a sip of his drink. Now that Lightning remembered, what did they do? They were a couple, right?

Lightning looked up at Riku at the question, not quite knowing the answer. "Well...I still have a lot of memories to get back," she stated softly. She remembered something major, but she was still missing months of memories.
Riku nodded slightly, humming as well as he leaned forward a little to set his glass down. He leaned back into the couch, his arm still behind Light. "Any ideas on how to get them back?"

Light shook her head softly, still looking up at Riku. "Hopefully they'll come back easier now that I remember what's important," she said, voice still soft. She remembered an idea she clung to, when she was meant to forget everything. She was strong enough to finish this fight strong.
"And what's that?" Riku asked, tilting his head as he looked at Lightning. What was so important? And would it really help Lightning's situation?

Lightning gave Riku a look, surprised he had to ask. "My decision about you, of course," she said. That was the only thing she remembered out of this experience, but that was okay. It was the memory she tried clinging to in the first place.
Riku smiled slightly, nodding. "Right," he replied softly. Him. Was he meant to help her gain back her memories? If so, he would gladly do so. He wanted what was best for Lightning.

"That was what I tried clinging to the first time they got a hold of me," Light said softly, referring to her month of torture. She told Riku a few days ago that she felt like she was forgetting something important, and that was what it was.
Riku's small smile faded at the reminder of the teens, a few he managed to kill. But Lightning had been tortured, and the thought caused him to lower his arm to her shoulders, pulling her a little closer. "Why me?" he finally asked. Why did she cling to him?

Lightning leaned against Riku's side a little, still looking up at him. Why? She didn't know how to put it into words, but she'd try her best. "No matter how bad the torture was, I knew you'd come for me," she said softly. "You gave me hope." He still did give her hope, constantly. Always.
Riku gazed at Lightning for a minute, not knowing what to say. But then he said what was on his mind. "You have a lot of faith in me," he told her softly. She suspected he would come for her, and he had. That faith must have been really strong.

"I do," Light agreed softly, nodding faintly. It was a little strange to her because she used to be so independent, but she never wanted to walk down Life's path alone again. She wanted Riku to be with her.
Riku tilted his head a little, his eyes staying on hers. "But...what if I don't pull through for you, Light?" he asked softly. "All of your faith would be for nothing." He never planned on failing her, but what if it happened?

Light shook her head softly. "Even if you don't, I'll have faith in you, and know that you fought your hardest," she said quietly. "That's all I can ever ask for." Riku would fight his hardest for her, since she seemed to get into a lot of nasty situations, and she'd fight too. That was all they could do.
Riku felt flattered at the words, which touched his heart. He released a small breath and leaned in slightly, placing his lips to Lightning's soft hair. He loved her, truly. She was so good to him, and had so much faith.

Lightning shut her eyes at the kiss, her heart fluttering in a good way. A terrific way. If she never recovered her memories, she would try to remake them in her own way. She and Riku would make more happiness together.
Riku kept his lips against Light's hair for a moment before he pulled away. However, he let his forehead rest against her hair then, keeping himself close. They hadn't been this close in a long time, not this way. They may have kissed, but...this felt more intimate, affectionate.

Lightning exhaled a soft breath through her nose, staying still so she wouldn't make Riku move. If he wasn't so close, she probably would have turned a little and wrapped an arm around his torso. But she wouldn't disturb him; she was perfectly fine like this anyway.
Riku kept his eyes closed, exhaling a soft breath as he stayed close to Lightning. He had been so stressed lately, and he knew she must have been too, but now they could rest. For a little while, at least.

Light dozed off for what felt like a while, though she wasn't sure just how long it was. She started coming out of it, forcing her eyes open partway. The room was mostly dark...It was nighttime?
Riku was still asleep, having gone unconscious a little while ago. Once the thought of resting peacefully registered in his mind, he had done just that. He breathed evenly, his arm still around Lightning as he slept.

Lightning looked over at the boy beside her, the boy who kept his arm around her even after all this time. "Hey? Riku?" she whispered gently, lifting a hand and lightly nudging his closest shoulder. They shouldn't sleep in this position the rest of the night, not after the battle they fought today.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed a little, the boy waking up slightly from his slumber. "Mm?" he hummed tiredly. Lightning? What'd she need? Was something wrong?
  • Author
"We should go to bed," Lightning said softly, tired blue eyes on his face. Sleeping on the couch wasn't smart, at least not while they were sitting upright. And she doubted they wanted to be apart, so her room was the next best choice.
