A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

"'Kay," Riku said with a small nod, his eyebrows furrowing a little more as he forced himself to wake up more. He leaned upright, taking his arm back slowly as he opened his eyes. Bed. Did that mean he could go with her? To her room?

Light looked away from Riku, glancing to the waters in front of her. She leaned forward and reached for it, finishing the drink before she set down the glass and rose to her feet. She stretched tiredly, feeling stiff and pain from earlier. Bed was definitely a good idea.

Riku ran a hand through his hair, still trying to wake up. He must have slept hard, because he was having a hard time waking up. If he just had a second, he would be able to take Light to bed.

Light looked over her shoulder at Riku, seeing him still groggy. "C'mon, Sleepy," she said softly, teasing him even if she was really tired herself. She started back, planning on putting on something more comfortable before crawling into bed.

Riku smiled weakly, grunting a response that was meant to say he would follow. He lowered his hand from his head and pushed himself up from the couch. He briefly stretched before following Lightning back.

Once they were in her room, Lightning turned on a light and then went to her dresser. She reached in and grabbed some shorts and a shirt, starting towards the bathroom with them in hand. Riku could go to bed a while; she'd be there in a minute.

While Lightning went to get dressed, Riku took off his vest and undershirt, also kicking off his shoes. Still in his jeans, he approached Lightning's bed and collapsed onto it, lying on his stomach. He stuffed his arms under the pillow to support his head, a sigh of comfort leaving him. This bed was comfortable, much more than the couch.

Lightning came out of the bathroom a minute or two later, having changed and brushed her teeth and hair. She left her dirty clothes in the hamper in the bathroom before she returned to her room, seeing Riku already laying on the bed and appearing unconscious. She smiled faintly, starting over. She also flipped off the light switch on her way, the darkness not affecting her in her own room. She knew where the bed was.

Riku remembered having to sleep on the couch the first few weeks he was here. Of course, he didn't have to; he could have just left. But he made the choice of staying here on Cocoon, for Light. He was glad he did, and glad that her bed was a lot more comfortable than the couch.

Light crawled into bed on one side, though Riku took up the majority of the bed by how he was laying. But she didn't mind. She pulled up some covers and laid on her back, doing everything as carefully as she could so she wouldn't disturb Riku.

Riku opened his eyes, able to see Light clearly in the Darkness. "...The last time we were like this," he said softly, "you and I were in Radiant Garden. It was the night before we left to fight Hades." And the night before she decided to stay here, in Cocoon.

Light turned her head on the pillow, looking over at Riku beside her. "Hm," she hummed softly, recalling what Riku told her about Hades. And she remembered Radiant Garden, since that was where she spent a few years of her life. But...she couldn't specifically remember being there with Riku before the fight with Hades. But this did feel very, very familiar, which was good.

"It was nice," Riku confessed softly. He missed it, over the past few months. He and Lightning hadn't been close since then, and that was too long for him.

"We'll have to create more moments like that, then," Lightning said softly. She wanted to reconstruct her life, with Riku. She wanted happiness and affection thrown into that process.

Riku smiled a little, pulling one of his arms out of the pillow. He turned on his side and reached over, stretching his arm across Lightning's stomach. "Yeah," he said in agreement. They would.

Light found herself smiling softly, able to see Riku's expression faintly despite the lack of lighting in the room. She lifted an arm and laid it over Riku's arm on her stomach, her face still turned towards him.

"Love you, Light," Riku said softly. He could feel himself getting tired again, and it was time to sleep. But he wanted to at least tell her that before he dozed off.

"I love you too, Riku," Lightning said softly in return, shutting her eyes. She was exhausted and ready to pass out again, so comfortable here. She'd be alright with staying here forever.

Riku smiled softly and closed his eyes as well. In a matter of minutes, he fell asleep. He kept his arm around Light even as he fell unconscious, sleeping peacefully for the night.

Light fell asleep at the same time as Riku, staying close to him even in unconsciousness. She was meant to be with him this close forever. That was what she desired. Forever with the one she loved.

The next morning...

 

Riku was still sleeping by the time the sun came up, shining in through the windows of Light's room. He could feel the warmth from it as he slept on his side, his arm around Light with his bare chest pressed against her back. He was comfortable like this, and even unconsciously, he wished they could stay like this forever. No battles. No Heartless. No Darkness.

Lightning had vivid dreams all night, though they weren't just made-up fantasies like most dreams were. They were her memories, all of them. They all came back to her, and once she had the last one, she started waking up, feeling warmth all around her both because of Riku and because of the sunshine.

Riku was a light sleeper as ever, and he would surely wake up to even the smallest bit of movement. Until that happened, he would stay asleep, taking in the comfort and warmth Light provided alongside the sunshine.

Light peeked her eyes open, looking down and seeing Riku's arm wrapped around her as they both laid on their sides. She smiled faintly, happy despite not knowing how they got into this position. She lifted an arm and lightly ran her fingers over Riku's arm, so happy. She remembered everything. She was truly herself again, and in Riku's arms. This was wonderful.

Riku felt the small sensation of fingers running over his arm, and he hummed softly. It was time for him to wake up, wasn't it? Something, other than the gesture, told him so.
