Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku hummed softly, fighting the urge to chuckle at Lightning. She was so stubborn, but he loved that about her all the same. He followed her back, but he stopped at the edge of the crowd, the men and already married women standing around to watch the other ladies catch the bouquet. He heard this could get crazy, so he wasn't sure what to expect from these girls.

Lightning stood towards the rear of the group, a hand on her hip as she looked to Serah, who was already turned around with her back to the group. She didn't imagine herself catching the bouquet; she was too far back, and she wasn't really interested in this tradition anyway. If she was meant to get married, she would, bouquet caught or not.
Snow stood not too far from his wife, his arms crossed over his chest as he looked to the girls that were so eager to catch the flowers. He saw his sister-in-law at the back, and he shook his head with a smirk. "C'mon, Light!" he called. "Have some enthusiasm!"

Lightning "hmphed" at her sister's husband, shaking her head lightly and shrugging as her hand came off her hip. She heard Serah count down and then the bouquet was in the air, the throw stronger than Light expected. It was coming towards the back.
Riku heard the ladies grouped behind Serah squeal, and he fought the urge to laugh. It was hard to believe how excited they could get just over some flowers. Regardless, he watched the bouquet fly through the air, wondering who would catch it.

Light took a step back and put her hands in front of her, surprised when the bouquet landed right in her hands. She looked down at them in shock, hearing some of the girls in front of her whine in disappointment while others cheered for Lightning. Did I really just...?
Riku felt himself smile, his eyes on Lightning. He saw her shock and fought the urge to laugh. But he clapped for a few minutes as well, then lifting one of his hands to his lips to whistle. He heard Snow cheering for her too.

Lightning blushed, glancing back and seeing Riku whistle. And then when she looked forward, she saw her sister rushing over, Serah hugging her in joy. She seriously thought catching the bouquet meant Light would get married next?! Yeah right. It was just a silly tradition. Right?
Riku lowered his hand from his lips and smiled, his hands at his sides. Light thought she wouldn't catch the bouquet, but clearly Fate had other plans. Serah seemed happy for her, but what about Light? Was she happy she caught the bouquet?

Serah pulled back after a few moments and let Lightning go, music starting up for one last song before the party ended. Light willed her blush to start fading away as she glanced back and saw Riku smiling.
Riku stuffed his hands into the pockets of his slacks, sending Light a small wink. She knew what the future version of himself asked for, and he was willing to grant that wish as soon as he could. When the time was right.

Lightning walked over to Riku, her blush reappearing at the wink. In a way, she hoped the bouquet did have meaning. Because she wanted to be with Riku forever.
"Congrats," Riku said once Light was close enough. He looked down at the flowers, his smile still on his face. "I guess you're next in line." Was he okay with that? ...Yeah, he was.

Light smiled shyly, her cheeks still pink. "Yeah, I guess I am," she said. That was what was supposed to happen to whoever caught the bouquet, so she'd see what happened.
Riku's smile faded a little, the boy lifting a hand to the back of his neck. "Should I feel pressured?" he asked, wondering about the future ahead. He didn't feel too much pressure; he knew the time would come when it was right.

"Nah," Light said, faintly shaking her head. "This bouquet won't determine our future. That's our job." It was up to them what happened; if fate didn't want them to be together, they'd defy it and be together anyway. They would decide what would become of their lives together.
Riku looked down at the bouquet, lowering his hand. "I dunno," he said softly. "It might be a little bit of a push." To tell him to get a move on. Or that was what he thought.

"Take it however you want," Light said with a faint shrug. "I find it hard to believe I'm going to get married next just because I caught some flowers." This really held no significance...it was a silly old tradition. That was what she told herself.
Riku looked at Lightning and lifted an eyebrow. Won't I be the one that decides that? he thought silently. He would be the one to propose...he was sure of it. He wanted to get the chance at least.
  • Author
"Like I said, take it how you want," Lightning said after seeing Riku's look. If he wanted to believe this held significance, then he could. She'd have to think about this more before she came to a conclusion.
Riku smirked, lifting an arm and wrapping it around Light's shoulders. "And like Snow said, have some enthusiasm," he said, looking to the groom who was happily dancing with his bride. After this last song, the wedding would be over, and those two would be gone on their honeymoon.
  • Author
"I'm too tired to be enthusiastic," Light complained, leaning into Riku and wrapping an arm around his lower back. "Today's been crazy with the preparations, the wedding, being harassed by a photographer..." It was a full day with things Light wasn't used to. That made it tiring.
"After we say goodbye to Serah and Snow, I'll take you home," Riku said, looking down at Lightning. He lightly ran his hand over her upper arm. She looked tired, but still beautiful. As always.

Light shook her head faintly. "Actually, there's one more thing going on tonight that everyone is going to." She and Riku would be included in that group, since all of Bodhum was going to this event. A lot of tourists would be there, too.
Riku lifted an eyebrow slightly. "What's that?" he asked softly, curious. Whatever it was, he hadn't heard anything about it. He must have missed the invite.
