Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Light hummed, glancing up at Riku before she started walking towards town. She knew what she was going to say: the truth. She had gone behind Riku's back, but for a just cause. Unfortunately, she hadn't been able to stay in Destiny Islands long enough to see if her efforts paid off, though.
Riku walked beside Lightning, the moonlight providing enough light for them both to see, even if Riku didn't need it as much. He was quiet, ready for Lightning to tell her story whenever she was ready. He had been concerned for her safety, so he did want to know what she'd been doing the last few days.

"...Ever since Destiny Islands was frozen, I've been going behind your back and doing research on how to salvage it," Lightning confessed, her gaze on the path. "I went there to test out a possible solution." She did the test; she just didn't know if it was a valid remedy for the situation or not.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed, and he hummed softly in response. He didn't know what else to say other than that, since he hadn't expected that kind of answer at all. Lightning had been working at getting the Islands back to normal? That was so much stress... She shouldn't have put that all on her shoulders.

"While I was there, I was ambushed by Darren, Rena, and Gual," Light continued. "It was a fight that I had to flee from. I hid someplace to recover and to make sure they weren't following me before I came out of hiding a day ago and tried to track you down. I came here and Kairi said you guys would be back tonight, so I waited here." And that was that.
Riku nodded slightly, humming again. Why hadn't Lightning said anything? He had been so scared... He thought she was seriously hurt, and maybe she was. But at least she was alright now. I should have expected them, Riku thought, thinking of those brats again. They were the ones after Lightning still, clearly.

Light folded her arms over her stomach, her fingertips lightly touching the wound from Darren's arrow that was now healed. That whole battle stayed in her mind. It was just like the one she fought in the future, but how was that possible. Is it...a sign? That that particular future can still happen?
"...The ice is thawing," Riku said after a few minutes of silence, the two of them in town now. He thought he might as well tell Light what progress she made. He was actually pretty happy about it, behind all his surprise. The Islands would be back soon, if they were lucky.

Lightning looked up at Riku in surprise, having not known. "It is?" she asked without thought. That was...good. Terrific. She was glad all her work hadn't been for nothing.
"Mm," Riku hummed softly, his eyes focused forward for the moment. Now that the Ice Titan was destroyed, the ice was melting. Hopefully the Islands' warm temperature would return, so its people could do the same.

"That's good," Light said softly, looking at the path again. "I didn't have time to stick around and see for myself." She had to flee while all three of the teens were immobilized in some way. It was the only way to survive.
"I noticed," Riku said softly. Light wasn't there when he and Sora arrived, but she did leave traces of herself behind. He saw it firsthand, which had scared him to death.

Lightning hummed in confusion, shifting her gaze to Riku again before she understood. Oh...the battle. He must have picked up on something. That was the only thing that made sense to her.
Riku lowered his eyes to the cobblestone beneath his feet, continuing to walk beside Lightning, his hands at his sides. "...The blood, Light," he said softly. That was how he knew she had been there. It helped give off her scent.

Light looked back down at her feet, nodding faintly. "Right," she said softly. That made sense. She got pretty beat up, so of course there was going to be blood left behind. It must have lingered in the snow.
Riku grunted slightly, though he didn't say anything more. He had been terrified for her safety. Light must have been hurt pretty badly if she was bleeding so profusely. It definitely didn't help settle his nerves, that was for sure.

"Sorry," Lightning apologized, keeping her gaze down. "I tried finding you as soon as I was well enough to." Recovering from the hypothermia took longer than she would have liked, but there was nothing she could do to change that now.
"I believe you, and it's okay," Riku said softly, turning his head and looking over at the woman he loved. "I'm just glad you're safe." And she would be from now on, with him. Riku wouldn't let Lightning get hurt again.

"Mm," Light hummed with a small nod. She should have expected a response like that. But still, she could tell she had worried Riku. She felt bad about that.
Riku kept his eyes on Lightning for a small minute, noticing by their surroundings that they were near Kairi's. "You're staying, right?" he asked softly. She wouldn't run off for some other reason, would she?
  • Author
Lightning looked up at Riku, surprised that he had to ask. But then again, she did run off a few times on him. But she wouldn't do that tonight. "I'm staying," she assured him softly. She needed a decent place to sleep for the night, and a safe place. That safe place was in Riku's arms.
Riku smiled weakly and nodded to Lightning, continuing to walk toward their destination. It was Kairi's house, where they could go to bed. He would make sure Lightning was safe and sound in bed with him before he fell asleep.

Light glanced down and saw Riku's hand right there, and even if they were nearly at Kairi's house, she wanted to be closer to him. She lightly grasped his hand, looking at it for a second before she looked ahead. Bed sounded like a good idea to her.
Riku's hand automatically gripped Lightning's, the boy gently squeezing her hand as he looked forward, seeing Kairi's house up ahead. It didn't matter to him, because even when they went inside, he and Light would be with each other. After the last few days, that was all he wanted.
  • Author
Lightning smiled faintly when Riku squeezed her hand, though her smile faded away as she looked at the house. She didn't know if everyone was still here; they had all stuck around to hear what she had to say earlier, but since they didn't all live in Radiant Garden, maybe they went to their homes. She didn't know.
