Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning rolled her eyes. "Just go get changed, Wise Guy," she said, reading Riku's expression easily. She was conscious, but not extremely awake. Whatever.
Riku held his pants in one hand, but Light's clothes were in the other. He tossed them on the bed for her before he turned for the bathroom, entering so he could change into his pants.

Light shut her eyes, the clothes landing in her face. "Ugh." Riku probably did that on purpose. But she didn't bother moving them, not caring too much. She felt a little silly for breathing in Riku's scent through them, but she did it anyway.
After brushing his teeth and tossing his dirty clothes in the hamper, Riku came out of the bathroom, dressed in a pair of grey lounge pants and no shirt, as usual. He saw Lightning hadn't moved, and he chuckled when he noticed his clothes were on her face. Oh well.

"It's not nice to laugh at people, you know," Lightning mumbled, still awake. She just heard Riku chuckle, and she was sure it was because his clothes were on her face.
"I'm not the nicest person in the world," Riku countered, standing just outside the bathroom as he looked toward the bed. And he wasn't; he had been cruel in the past, and still was if his temper was bad enough.

"Still, I expected you would at least have the decency not to throw your stinky clothes in my face. I'm disappointed in you," Light said, voice muffled through the clothes. But her tone still showed that she was only teasing him, like she often did.
Riku smirked. "Trust me, I'm used to disappointment," he said softly. "But the clothes, Kairi washed those." They weren't "stinky", he was sure of it. "I'm sure they're clean enough for you."

"If you say so," Lightning said, finally sitting upright on the bed and letting one of her hands grab the clothes. She was just playing her part, though she felt a little upset when Riku said he was used to disappointment. That wasn't good.
Riku motioned to the bathroom behind him, starting toward the bed his beloved was on. "Get dressed and come back to bed," he told her softly. Meanwhile, he would try fighting the haunting memories of his past.

"Alright," Light said softly, pushing herself up with clothes in hand. She walked past Riku and gently ran her fingers over his arm when she did, her gaze going to the ground once she was past him. She entered the bathroom a moment later and shut the door, getting changed.
Riku got chills at the touch, and he fought the urge to shudder, but in a good way. He sat down on the bed, but he didn't get under the covers; he would wait for Lightning first. He stared up at the ceiling, one hand under his pillow as he fought the darker thoughts, ones involving his past and his parents.

Lightning came out of the bathroom a few minutes later, dressed in Riku's shorts and shirt. She held her folded clothes in her hand and dropped them by the bathroom door, knowing she'd need to wear them again tomorrow. She looked over at the bed and saw Riku's position and his blank gaze, her eyes softening in concern. Something was wrong.
Riku blinked when he sensed movement out of the corner of his eye, which snapped him out of the thoughts that involved his family. He looked toward the bathroom, seeing Light. "Looking good," he said softly. She could take it however she wanted, but he actually liked seeing her in his clothes.

Lightning rolled her eyes at the comment, shaking her head faintly as a small smile appeared on her lips. Yeah right. She started over towards Riku, used to seeing him shirtless by now. But that didn't mean her heart didn't skip a beat every time she saw how toned he was.
"Hey, I mean it," Riku said, eyebrows furrowing slightly when he saw the woman he loved roll her eyes. Seeing her in his clothes served as a nice distraction from his previous thoughts.

"Alright, if you say so," Lightning said, walking around the bed to the other side so she could lay down. She laid down on her side next to Riku, facing him and looking at his face. Was he okay? He seemed a little off a minute ago.
Riku felt Light's gaze on him, but now his just rested on the ceiling, one hand on his stomach as the other remained in its place underneath his head and pillow. He guessed it was time to sleep, and he hoped that he got enough rest.

I won't nag him about it, Lightning thought, scooting closer to Riku and lowering herself a little so her head wouldn't hit his elbow. She lightly rested the side of her face against the side of Riku's torso, one of her arms wrapping over his stomach as she shut her eyes. I'll just be with him.
Riku lowered his arm from behind his head, looking down at Lightning as he wrapped it around her. She was his Light; the element, and the person. He would make sure he kept her in his life, because she made things better.

"I love you," Light reminded Riku softly, some of her bangs shifting and covering her already closed eyes. She was going to stay with him now; she wasn't going to push him away again. She hoped he knew that. But while she reminded Riku of her love for him, she was reminded of something else, something that happened in this very bed. That night when she had that nightmare and cried in her sleep and Riku held her. That nightmare had been about her failing to unfreeze Destiny Islands, but today, she did it. She succeeded.
"I know," Riku said softly, lifting his eyes to the ceiling again. The light in the room was still on, but he'd turn it off eventually. "I love you too." Always will. Riku let his fingers glide over Lightning's arm after the words left his lips, the boy hoping her presence would chase his darker thoughts away.

You're sad, Light thought, holding Riku a little more tightly. She could tell by his tone that he wasn't completely with her. But what was wrong? He should have been happy that Destiny Islands was returning to normal now. The future was officially different from what Lightning saw.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed as he continued with his gesture against Lightning's arm, his eyes stuck on the ceiling. He would have to bring her with him the next time he went to Traverse Town; she actually provided him with some security. He knew that was because she was his Light, just like Kairi was Sora's, and Namine was Roxas's. He didn't feel comfortable seeing his parents anymore, mostly because they hadn't exactly talked since the Keyblade was revealed to them.

Light opened her eyes, looking straight to the corner of the room and ceiling as she kept the side of her face against Riku's skin. She wasn't so tired now, especially since she was so concerned over Riku. "Did something happen while I was gone?" she asked softly. Obviously he was upset over something.
