Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku closed his eyes at the question, though he opened them a small moment later. "No," he answered softly, lying. He wasn't going to make himself the center of attention; he never was a fan of it. Instead, he just wanted to focus on Lightning, and how she was still with him.

Light kept her eyes open, though she was sure the expression within them changed a little. "Liar," she said softly. She knew by Riku's tone that he was lying, and by the brief delay. And if nothing happened, he would have assured her more that that was truth. There were so many ways she knew he lied. But why couldn't he be honest with her?
Riku released a small breath at the name, knowing he should have expected that. Regardless, he dodged the question. "It's nothing new," he said at the same tone. He'd had trouble with things for a long time. That was one of the reasons he stayed in Cocoon for so long.

"Is it something I should drag out of you?" Light asked softly, seeing how he dodged the question. She and him were alike in so many ways, avoiding talking about problems. But sometimes, it was best not to talk about it. Especially not when exhaustion was affecting emotions.
"No," Riku answered then, still staring up at the ceiling. But if Lightning went to Traverse Town with him any time soon, she would see just what the problem was.

"Alright then," Light said softly, shutting her eyes. "Get some rest, Riku." He'd feel better once he wasn't so tired. And she needed some sleep herself; she didn't want to keep thinking about the nightmare she had last time she was in this bed.
"Mm," Riku hummed softly, still glaring at the ceiling above the bed. He still needed to sort out his thoughts, and if he got any sleep, they'd hopefully be gone by the next day. Knowing his luck, that probably wouldn't happen.

"Don't stay awake thinking about it," Light said, interpreting the hum as "yeah right." "You'll feel better when you're not so exhausted." And she knew that from experience.
Riku didn't say anything in reply, instead tightening his hold a little on Lightning. He understood, but still...it was harder than she made it out to be. Regardless, he would try to sleep. He was tired after all.

Light opened her eyes and looked up at Riku's face, his reactions telling her something was seriously wrong. He didn't want to talk about it, so she only had one idea on how to help him. "Roll over onto your side," she requested softly, pulling back her hand and moving her head a little as well so he could turn with his back to her.
Riku looked down at Lightning, not knowing what else to do. He was a little confused, but he released her and did as she said. He rolled over onto his side, his back to her. He wasn't sure why he was doing this, but he was.

Light set one hand under the pillow as she laid on her side, the other hand coming up to Riku's back. She lightly ran over it with her fingers, hoping it would relax him and help him fall asleep. This is all I can think of to do. Sorry if it's not enough.
Riku felt his heart skip a beat at the touch, and he closed his eyes. "Light...you don't have to do this," he said softly, understanding. Even if this did feel nice, she didn't need to feel obligated. He would survive.

Light didn't bother responding, only keeping up the gesture. You're wrong, Riku. She did have to do this, because she loved him and wanted to help him. She would be a terrible lover if she didn't try to comfort him.
Riku didn't get a reply, so he didn't bother speaking again. Light knew where he stood with this...but, it did feel nice. He kept one hand on the bed in front of him, the other arm hanging off of it slightly. Regardless, he let the sensation of Lightning's fingers running over his skin relax him.

Go to sleep, Riku, Lightning silently thought, her eyes following the motion of her fingers. He had to calm down, at least for the night, and get some rest. Exhaustion wouldn't help him face this problem.
After a few minutes, Riku felt himself starting to actually doze off. "...Thanks, babe," he mumbled softly. She didn't have to do this, but he appreciated that she cared. Lightning was really special to him.

Light was surprised at the pet name, Riku having only called her "babe" once before. But she hummed softly in response to his gratitude, continuing to fight her own exhaustion to care for the one she loved.
Riku felt himself start to go under after the small response, and he released a small breath. The last thing he thought before he went to sleep was how much he loved Lightning, and how well he was going to treat her in their future together. She deserved it. Riku then fell asleep, his body completely relaxing and his breathing becoming even.

Lightning kept up the gesture for another minute or so, wishing she could keep it up longer to make sure Riku really was asleep. But she had to pass out now; she was exhausted. She scooted closer to him and pressed her forehead lightly against his back, her arm wrapping lightly over his toned stomach. It only took a few seconds for her to fall asleep once she was settled.
A few hours passed, and Riku found himself waking up. The first thing that helped him clarify that was the warmth he felt against his back and around his stomach. He was able to hear Lightning breathe as well, so that told him she was asleep as he opened his eyes. The light in the room was still on, and when he looked down, he saw that the heat around his stomach was because of Lightning's arm.

Lightning was knocked out cold, the same as she had been the past few hours. She couldn't say she was sleeping peacefully, because she was worried about Riku, but she was unconscious anyway because of her exhaustion. She breathed evenly, not noticing Riku waking up.
Riku lifted his hand to Lightning's arm, lightly gripping her wrist. He couldn't stay in bed and risk waking her up; he had to get up for a while, since he wouldn't be getting back to sleep any time soon. He slowly and carefully moved, his legs coming off the bed. He soon sat up, and when he was on his feet, he made sure Lightning was comfortable. Riku hoped she was warm, since she wasn't under the covers.

Light didn't even sense Riku moving her, though she did faintly recognize that the warmth she had been embracing disappeared. It was so unusual for her to be knocked out like this; she could only be in such a deep state of sleep because of her exhaustion and the lingering effects of hypothermia.
Riku gazed at Lightning for a moment, one hand on the bed since he put Light's there. He wanted to kiss her, but he didn't want to wake her. It'll have to wait until the morning, he thought, standing upright and turning the light from the lamp off, shrouding the room in darkness. Riku then turned, heading for the door. He needed to think some things through before he tried going back to sleep.
