Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning didn't hear Riku leave, the girl not awakening from her slumber at all. Eventually, though, once Riku's warmth wore off, she'd get cold and then wake up. It was only a matter of time.
Riku passed Kairi's room on his way, seeing that her door was closed. That meant she and Sora were sleeping, which was good. Sora deserved rest after all the running around he did with Riku the past few days, and Kairi probably needed his comfort to sleep well. He knew the feeling. Riku went to the living room and sat down on the couch, turning on a lamp beforehand so he wasn't in total darkness. He leaned forward, sighing as he rubbed his face. He had a lot of thinking to do, regarding his parents, his past, and his future.

Light eventually did feel the warmth go away, coldness replacing it. She furrowed her eyebrows slightly in her sleep and woke up, opening her eyes and immediately noticing why she was cold. Riku wasn't in front of her anymore.
Riku was still sitting in the same position, his elbows on his knees. What am I going to do about Mom and Dad? he thought softly. True, he hardly ever went home to even see them, but he was afraid of what they would say. Would they disown him? What about the Darkness, and how connected with it he was? The Darkness destroyed the Islands, so what would they think then?

Lightning sat up in bed, rubbing her eyes to try and wake herself up. Where did Riku go? She couldn't see anything in this dark room, but she knew he wasn't here, or he would have been with her. She rubbed at her eyes yet again, knowing she needed to wake up more to find Riku. I'll take a shower. That'll do the trick. She pushed herself up from the bed and headed to the nearby bathroom, feet dragging in tiredness.
It wasn't even dawn, and Riku was already up. Glancing at the clock, he knew there were a few hours left until the sun came up. What time was it in Traverse Town? Were his parents up, worried about him? Maybe they weren't, since he didn't get the feeling that they were. Their son betrayed them, sent their world into Darkness when he was only fifteen. "When he was reckless, and stupid," Riku cursed himself, lifting his hand to his forehead and shutting his eyes, his other hand curling into a fist.

Light took a long shower to try and wake herself up, but it failed. She finished up and dried off, putting Riku's clothes back on in case she crawled into bed later. She would have to, since she was still so exhausted. She dried her hair with the towel and then hung it up, heading downstairs. That was the only place she could picture Riku being other than bed.
Riku kept his position, his hand still at his face, the other in a fist at his own agitation. How could I be so stupid? I put Mom and Dad in danger, and everyone else on the Islands! And Sora and Kairi... They got hurt too, really hurt. Sora went through a lot on his own, and Kairi was just...lifeless. But...Sora still helped him, even after he plunged into Darkness. And Kairi forgave him for what he'd done. But...what did his parents think? He hadn't stuck around long enough to find out.

Lightning softly walked down the stairs, since at least Sora and Kairi were still asleep. Maybe Riku was on the couch for some reason, sleeping? She stepped into the living room, stopping in the doorway when she saw his position. He was on the couch, but he wasn't asleep. He's still bothered by something.
Riku sighed, lifting his hands and rubbing them over his face again. He didn't even want to think of what Lightning thought of this. What would she say if she knew what was going through his mind? Would she deal with his negative attitude, like his friends and parents did? Well, his parents didn't see much of him, since he'd spent most of his time away from home. Maybe he'd known all along that it was best to avoid telling his parents the truth.

"Riku?" Light called softly from her spot after a few moments of observing, her voice showing some grogginess despite how she had been awake at least twenty minutes. She wasn't just going to walk away when he was so upset, but she wasn't going to sneak up on him, either. This was the best way to make her presence known.
Riku lowered his hands from his face at the voice, clasping them together as he kept his elbows on his knees. He glanced over his shoulder, seeing Lightning not too far off. "...Go back to bed, Light," he said softly. She didn't need to be up because of him, if that was why she was up.

Light shook her head faintly, her damp bangs getting in her eyes. She wasn't just going to go back to bed when Riku was clearly troubled. She tried helping earlier, but it hadn't been enough. This time, she'd try to do better.
Riku turned his head, looking down at his hands when he saw Light's response. He wouldn't tell her again. He couldn't control her, after all. Not like Xehanort did to him. Don't go there again, he told himself. He had to forget that stuff to move on with his life...so he could be with Light.

Lightning walked over to Riku's spot on the couch, standing in front of him and kneeling a little before lightly setting a hand on his silver hair. "I think it's time you told me what's up," she said softly.
Riku felt the touch on his head, but he didn't look up. "It's nothing," he insisted softly. He would deal, as always. He got past it without telling anyone, at least for a while.

Light looked down at Riku from her spot in front of him, masking the hurt in her eyes. He lied to her again. "Liar," she said softly, like she had earlier. This was clearly something important.
What else is new? Riku wanted to say, but he didn't. He knew Lightning wouldn't want to deal with him saying something like that; she would have probably scolded him for such a thing. Regardless, it was the truth. When hadn't he lied about his problems?

"...Riku, just talk to me," Lightning requested softly, running her hand over his hair lightly. She knew how hard it was to open up, but it was necessary for this problem. He couldn't just sit here sulking about it.
"I want to, but..." But Riku didn't want to scare her with the way he was thinking. It had been three years, and he still couldn't let go of his past with the Darkness. How was he going to move on if he hadn't already?

Lightning silently kept up her gesture, eyes on Riku as she waited for him to continue. It was good that he wanted to open up, but apparently something was also holding him back. What's going on?
Riku wouldn't look at Lightning, not wanting her to see the vulnerability in his eyes. True, they loved each other dearly and were open with each other, but he still didn't want to come off as weak. He was too proud for that.

Light got down on one knee, moving her hand from Riku's hair to his chin, attempting to lift it a little to look into his eyes. She could tell he was purposely not looking at her, but she didn't know how sensitive he'd be to her finding him in such a vulnerable state.
Riku felt Light moving his chin, and he knew she was just trying to help, but he couldn't take it right now. He lifted his hand, grasping her wrist as he jerked his head away. "Stop," he said lowly. He didn't want this right now.

Lightning blinked in surprise, her gaze darting from the wrist Riku held a little roughly to his face. She didn't understand. He just said he wanted to talk to her. Why couldn't she see his face when they had a conversation?
