Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku had his eyes closed now, his face turned slightly away from Lightning as he held her wrist. He fought his emotions, and he would try his hardest not to take it out on her. He didn't want Lightning being the victim to his anger. That wasn't right.

"What?" Light asked softly, gently prodding Riku. She didn't know why he was suddenly so worked up with her, but she wanted to find out. What did she do wrong?
"It's personal and it's aggravating," Riku said, keeping his eyes closed as he admitted the truth. "Telling you won't change anything." He knew that, because he talked to his friends before. The haunting thoughts still came back.

"It'll help you vent," Lightning responded softly. "Keeping it bottled inside obviously isn't helping anything." She knew from experience that keeping things to yourself only worked for so long. Riku couldn't seriously think she was unable to relate to him with their problem-solving skills, could he?
"I'm not venting to you," Riku said, dropping Lightning's wrist. He wasn't going to tell her anything. It would either push her away or make things worse. Besides, it wasn't like anything would change. His problems would still be there.

"If you're not going to vent to me, then you'll keep it all inside and explode," Light said knowingly, her hand finding Riku's knee. "So...yes, you are going to vent to me." She said the latter gently, her gaze still on him. He needed to talk to her.
Riku ground his teeth together, keeping his eyes closed as he ran a hand through his hair. Lightning...he thought silently. He wanted to talk to her. He wanted to, but he couldn't. He wouldn't drag her down with his own issues.

Lightning started rubbing Riku's knee with her thumb, seeing how he wasn't snapping at her now. However, she couldn't tell through his actions whether or not he was close to reaching that point. "Riku," she said softly, though that prodding could have been one step too much. But she didn't know.
Riku. That one word set him off. He stood up abruptly, raising his voice at the woman he loved. "Lightning, stop it," he ordered, stepping away from her and the couch, walking a few feet away. He wasn't dealing with this, and he wouldn't let her do it either.

Lightning blinked at Riku's order, her hand coming to her knee as she followed Riku with her eyes. She pushed herself up, eyes still on him. "Stop what?" she asked, her voice a little louder than before because she was confused. What was she doing?
"Stop pushing me to tell you everything!" Riku said, his voice stiff with anger and frustration, and a bit of annoyance. She kept pushing him and pushing him, and he wasn't in the mood for it.

Lightning kept her gaze on Riku, surprised at how rough his voice was. He hadn't used this tone towards her for a very, very long time. "You need to open up," she stated gently. "Look at what bottling it up has done for you so far." He was really upset.
"And telling you anything is going to push you away," Riku replied tensely. "I'm not stupid, Light. I know the outcomes of my decisions." When he told her all of the problems he was facing, she wouldn't want anything to do with him anymore.

Lightning arched a brow now, folding her arms over her chest. "Are you kidding?" she couldn't help but ask. "You're stuck with me, forever." She stepped forward, moving to get closer to him. He wasn't going to push her away with whatever he said.

"Lightning, my parents won't even talk to me!" Riku hollered, his back still to her. His hands balled into fists at his sides. "Do you honestly think I don't expect you to turn on me too?"

Kairi nuzzled her head further into Sora's chest at the holler, feeling his skin against her forehead. What was that noise?

Light's eyebrows furrowed, the girl lifting a hand and setting it on Riku's shoulder. "What part of 'forever' do you not understand?" She wouldn't turn against him. How could he even think such a thing, even if his parents did? She doubted they actually did; his parents loved him.

Sora furrowed his eyebrows, both because of the noise and Kairi's movement. What's going on?

Riku tensed under Lightning's hand, his hands still in tight fists. Forever? "...Not like this," he said roughly. "I won't have forever like this." Not this...dark. He could practically feel the Darkness feeding on his negative emotions, which only made him feel worse.

"Then make a change," Light said gently, keeping her hand on Riku's shoulder. "Calm down and tell me what's going on." He didn't want forever to be tense like this, but it would be this way if he kept this attitude.
"Calm down?" Riku repeated, opening his eyes. He whirled around, causing Light's hand to fall from his bare shoulder. "You think I can 'calm down' about this now? I haven't calmed down about it yet, Light! What do you think is supposed to change that?" Nothing. Nothing would change it.

Light's hand fell down to her side, her eyes locking onto Riku's despite the fierceness in them. "You are supposed to change that," Light said, still patient and gentle because she was speaking from experience to help him. "Right now, you're on a high with the anger. It'll wear off when you want it to." He had to control his emotions.

"Says a soldier," Riku said, his eyebrows furrowing deeply over his hard eyes. "You have no problem controlling your emotions; you're taught to hide them." He shook his head. "Look at me, Light. Do I look like a soldier to you? I'm nothing but a stupid kid!"

Kairi moaned slightly in her sleep, hearing the loud voice. "Sora...?" she said softly in her sleep, her eyebrows furrowing over her closed eyes as her forehead remained against her boyfriend's warm chest. What was going on? What was that noise?

Lightning furrowed her eyebrows at Riku's anger, seeing he was too high on it to take her advice. "You're anything but stupid," she said, shaking her head. He was one of the smartest people she knew.

Sora furrowed his eyebrows more deeply, a hand on the back of Kairi's head as he too heard the one loud voice in particular. Something was going on, and it seemed like he'd have to check it out.

"Yeah right," Riku said, glaring at Lightning, his anger controlling him instead of the other way around. "If you remember my past, I wasn't the smartest kid around. I opened the Door. I led my world to Darkness. I sent Kairi into a coma. I nearly killed Sora. Everything was my fault!" Why didn't she get it?

Kairi opened her eyes a little, though she couldn't see anything but Sora's skin. She closed her eyes, her heart skipping a beat at the volume of the voice downstairs. Was that...Riku?

"So what if you were an idiot then?" Lightning asked, taking a small step and getting closer to Riku's face despite how he was already shouting at her. "You learned from it. Got smarter. You fixed the mistakes the best you could. Now it's time to use that knowledge to create a future that's less dark."

Sora sighed, setting his hand on the bed and carefully pushing himself into a sitting position so he wouldn't disturb Kairi. Sounds like the lovebirds are arguing.

Kairi opened her eyes, seeing Sora sit up. She turned over a little in bed, bringing a hand to her hair. What were those two fighting about? It sounded like Lightning was involved too.

Riku ground his teeth together. "How am I supposed to make a brighter future for us if nothing but Darkness is haunting me?!" he hollered, even if Lightning was right there. He was infuriated with the Darkness, though it was making him take out his anger on someone he cherished.
