Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"You keep looking for hope until you find it, instead of letting despair control your destiny," Lightning said, hands curling as she looked at Riku. He had to start listening to her; she knew what she was talking about.
"Look around you, Light!" Riku demanded, motioning with his arm as if he were motioning to the world. "There is no hope. Darkness is everywhere, and it feeds off of that despair. Don't you get it?" He shook his head at her, lowering his arm. "My destiny is Darkness."

"Riku, snap out of it," Lightning said, furrowing her eyebrows at his angry words. "You don't believe that." His actions showed that he did have hope, and his heart showed just how much Light he had. He was fighting for the Light, not the Darkness.
"Yes I do," Riku said lowly, his eyebrows furrowing over his aqua eyes. He fought it for a long time, but now there wasn't much to keep him from believing the Darkness. Things never went well, not for long. That was because of the Darkness, which always seemed to follow him. It had a hold on his heart.

"If you believe everything's just going to result in Darkness, then why bother trying to be happy with me?" Light asked, not waiting for an answer. "Your actions prove that you have hope for the future, Riku. That the Light will overcome the Darkness."
Riku crossed his arms, turning his head away as he looked at something other than Lightning's face. His jaw flexed as he fought his anger, not wanting to say something he would regret. He didn't have anything to say, anyway.

"So what if things are dark now?" Light asked, taking a small step close to Riku even if she was right in front of him. "You find something to cling to in the hard times that'll help you make it to that brighter future." She was thinking of herself now, with everything that ever happened in her life. Her parents...Ven...Serah...Riku...She knew all about hardship.
"...What if there isn't a brighter future?" Riku asked after a second, his eyes stuck on an object in the room. He wouldn't look at Lightning. "What if it's the same thing, no matter what you do?" That was how he felt. Everything he did, and yet the Darkness still haunted him. It was awful.

Light furrowed her eyebrows slightly. "Things will always get better as long as you keep fighting for what matters." The change wouldn't happen right away, but eventually, things would be okay. She just knew it.
"To protect the things that matter." Riku remembered saying that to Terra the first time they met, when the Keyblade was passed on. He knew what mattered to him--his friends, his family, Lightning... But, it was harder than he thought. A lot harder.

"You've already conquered the Darkness once, Riku," Lightning said, her expression remaining the same as she looked up at Riku. "No point giving back into it now."
Riku closed his eyes, his eyebrows still furrowed over them. "...What do you know about the Darkness?" he wondered lowly. "About being possessed and nearly killing your best friend?" It was simple: she didn't. And never would.
  • Author
"I don't know anything about being possessed," Light said, frowning. "But I know how destructive the Darkness can be." She spent years chasing Xehanort after he kidnapped Ven and killed her parents. She had experience with the Darkness, not quite like Riku, but enough she could relate to him.
"No you don't," Riku said softly, opening his eyes. "You have no idea." He put everyone in jeapordy, and was lost in the Darkness for too long. His heart was tainted, even he knew that. But that didn't mean the Darkness didn't get easier access because of it.

Lightning shook her head. "No, Riku. I do." Not in the same way as him, but the Darkness nearly destroyed her life. It took away everything that was ever precious to her. She knew how destructive it was.
Riku glanced over at the woman he loved, with or without Darkness. But when he saw the look in her eyes, he looked away again. "Discussion's over," he said, closing his eyes. They were done here.

Light blinked, having not expected that response. "No, it's not," she said. No way was she just going to let him drop the subject like that. They had to work this out.
"Yes it is, Lightning," Riku said, keeping his position and not opening his eyes. His voice was tight with agitation and frustration, the negativity that the Darkness was surely feeding off of. He could feel it.
  • Author
"Riku," Lightning said, faintly shaking her head even if he couldn't see that. "You need to talk to me about this. Let me help you." He wasn't letting her help; he was only yelling and taking out his frustration on her. That wasn't good enough.
"No," Riku said roughly, his voice tighter than before at Lightning's persistence. "Let it go." He opened his eyes and looked at her, but then he lowered his arms, stepping past her. He was so caught up in the argument that he failed to notice his best friends watching from the doorway.

Lightning furrowed her eyebrows, quickly moving and standing in Riku's way. She stared up at him, eyes showing concern, seriousness, and stubbornness. You're not off the hook that easily.
Riku stopped walking, blinking when he saw Lightning in his path. "Light, move," he said lowly. He wasn't in the mood for this.
  • Author
"No," Light said, looking at Riku without flinching at the tone she wasn't used to. "I won't." She wasn't going to let him walk off alone when he was being tormented by something. Whatever hurt him hurt her too.
From where she stood, Kairi could see Riku's jaw flex. He was really angry. He hadn't been like this in a long time, but what brought this on? She heard him speak of the Darkness, and it hurt her to know that it was still bothering her best friend, but why now?
  • Author
"Talk to me, Riku," Light said softly, her eyes on his angry ones. Please? She wanted to help him. He was always able to help her in the past, but now she couldn't do a thing for him. It was one of the worst feelings she ever experienced.
