Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"You're the one that's lying, Riku!" Lightning hollered. "Your friends would be hopelessly lost without you, and so would I. Stop acting like you're worthless because of the Darkness! Stop blaming it for making you who you are. You decide who you are."
Riku rolled his eyes before looking back to Lightning. "Go tell it to a cadet!" he yelled, motioning with his arm, as if Cocoon were right next to him. "Words don't work with me, Light!" Couldn't she see that?

"Oh yeah? Then why am I so under your skin?" Light asked in return, not lowering the level of her voice. Her words were working alright; he was at least taking this in enough to respond, so her words would haunt him later. Good.
"Because you won't leave it alone!" Riku hollered even louder than before, completely forgetting that other people were in the house. Lightning was being too persistent with this!

Lightning took a small step back at the holler, and she didn't bother reminding Riku of the other people in this house. He'd keep yelling anyway. I won't leave it alone because I care. Can't you see that?
Riku glared at Lightning in fury, his eyes ablaze with the same emotion. "Do me a favor and go back to bed," he said, his voice still loud but not an awfully loud holler like before. "There's no point to this anymore."
  • Author
"I could say the same for your lies," Light spat. "No point lying to my face anymore. I know you're not being honest with me, or yourself." He had to know he was worth something. She refused to believe he felt totally worthless.
Riku looked to Light in disbelief. "You think I'm making this up?" he snapped. "This is haunting me! I'm not stupid enough to lie about it!" If she thought he was...well, that would only make him angrier.

"I think you're deceiving yourself, or letting the Darkness deceive you," Lightning said, keeping her eyes on Riku's. "Because you're normally much more confident than this, and I refuse to believe that all was a lie."
"I'm confident that the Darkness is eating away at me," Riku said then, his hands in tight fists. "If you can't see that, you must be blind." He wasn't lying; he was sure about this. And he didn't want Light close to it.
  • Author
"My eyesight's just fine," Light said, furrowing her eyebrows. "You want to know what I'm confident about? You making it through this. Fight back against the circumstances you're in, Riku. Don't let it control you." She knew all about being controlled, thanks to the Fal'Cie. Her past...it kept coming up in her mind, and she didn't like it.
"What, like it did to you?" Riku said then, arching an eyebrow slightly. "Whatever happened to Claire, Lightning? She let the Darkness control her, didn't she?" That was exactly what happened; that was why she was Lightning.

Lightning grunted, though that wasn't a response to any of Riku's questions. Her gaze hardened at how he brought up her past, something she thought only she was thinking of right now. Claire was weak. She was manipulated by Xehanort's Darkness without him even trying to hurt her.
"You must be blind if you keep deceiving yourself," Riku said, directing things toward Lightning now. "Darkness has been a part of your life too, hasn't it? Don't try hollering at me for giving in to my Darkness when you've done the same thing!"
  • Author
"I'm a different person now!" Light hollered, her hand coming off her hip and her hands curling into fists. She wasn't the same person that gave into the Darkness; she had a new name to prove it. Lightning.
"Now you're the one that's lying!" Riku said, pointing a finger at Lightning as he looked down at her. He didn't care if he woke anyone up with this argument; he was too focused on it to notice anything else, even how much he could be affecting Lightning at that moment, with his talk of her past.
  • Author
Lightning's eyebrows furrowed, her eyes going to the finger pointed at her. She was not lying! She put her past behind her and got a new identity. She wasn't Claire.

Riku glared at Lightning, lowering his hand to his side as it immediately tightened into a fist. "...Even if you are a different person, I can see right through you. Maybe I'm the only one who can," he said lowly. "But you're still haunted by Xehanort, just as I am. So where's the hope you told me to look for? Do you even have any?"

Riku...Kairi thought silently, still in her spot just beyond the doorway. How could he say such things to Lightning? He loved her, so much; even Kairi could see it. So why was he being so cruel?

  • Author
You're my hope, Lightning thought despite Riku's harsh words, her glare still on him. She had hope because of him. She was just glad he followed that path of the conversation instead of another: who she was as Claire, and whether or not she was still that pathetic girl today. But Riku could swing the conversation around still, since she wasn't responding right away.
Riku didn't get an answer, but he accepted that as one. "I get it," he said then, understanding things now. "You're still scared... You're still Claire, aren't you?" She hadn't changed at all, had she? "'Lightning' is your cover-up."
  • Author
"No," Lightning said tensely, diverting her gaze for some reason. "I'm not covering up anything. I'm Lightning, not..." She wasn't Claire. She wasn't that pathetic.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed even more. "...All this time as Lightning hasn't changed anything about you," he said then, his voice low, anger still within him. "I'm not stupid, and neither are you. Both of us know that you're still Claire, no matter what name you create to make a change. There is no change." There never would be.
  • Author
"Claire's pathetic, weak, and childish," Lightning said lowly, her teeth gritted with all the stuff Riku was throwing at her. "I'm not that girl." She changed her identity, inside and out, a long time ago.
Riku gave Lightning a look. As if he believed that. Lightning was naive thinking that talking to Riku could take away his Darkness, and that changing her name could make all of her problems disappear. She was the same as Claire, even after all these years.

Lightning looked up and glared at Riku, seeing his expression. Spit it out, she thought, seeing his expression. I dare you. He had something to say, so it was time he let it into the open.
