A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Aqua frowned, not liking this portion of the conversation, mostly because she knew she had to be the bearer of bad news. "Riku's staying away from you because his nightmares are causing him an immense amount of guilt," she explained. "He says it's about his time in Darkness, and what he did to you."

Sora frowned, not because he didn't accept Aqua's answer, but because it seemed like Riku had a reasonable explanation. But...avoiding him wasn't solving anything. He should have just talked to him, and Sora would have reassured him that he was forgiven for what he did. And Kairi...What was her reason.

By Sora's silence, Aqua believed she needed to continue. "As for Kairi," she said softly, growing a little more sad. "When she said she couldn't see you, Sora, she really meant it. Whenever she looks at you, she can't help but picture Vanitas." They were hallucinations, but the nightmares caused them.

Sora looked down at the ground, alarmed at that. When he woke her up from her nightmare that day...she had cowered in fear. She...thought he was Vanitas. "...Why?" he said, his voice sounding weak at this new information. Why was this happening to his two best friends?

Aqua shook her head. "I don't know," she said softly. "I'm sorry." This was awful that three teenagers had to suffer from something that was so dark. But there had to be something they could do about it; those two couldn't deal with those nightmares for much longer...

Sora looked back up at Aqua, his expression changing from shocked and sad to serious and determined. "I'll find out," he instantly said. He wasn't going to let this go on any longer; neither of his friends deserved to go through nightmares like this.

"How?" Aqua asked, furrowing her eyebrows in curiosity. What did Sora plan to do? What kind of explanation could he even get for these nightmares?

"I'll go to Master Yen Sid," Sora said, that having been the first thing that popped into his mind. "And if he doesn't know anything, I'll go to the King." But he doubted that would be necessary; Master Yen Sid was a very wise man.

Master Yen Sid... "Of course," Aqua said with a nod. She would let him go, since he had a purpose to be leaving. But he wouldn't be leaving by himself. She'd ask somebody to go with him...

"I'll go right away," Sora said with a nod, his eyes locked on Aqua's so that she knew that he was leaving for a "good" reason this time. He would be back as soon as he got some answers.

"You won't be going alone," Aqua said with a shake of her head. She wanted to make sure Sora would be alright on this journey, because even if it was only to seek answers, anything could happen. The woman turned her head to look over at one of her two friends sparring. "Ven!"

Ven had a break in the battle, and so he looked over at Aqua. He shrugged slightly to Terra before he ran over, his speed helping him make it over in just a few seconds. "What's up?" he asked, standing by Aqua and Sora. Unlike yesterday, she didn't seem angry, which was good.

Aqua set her hand lightly on her best friend's shoulder. "Would you mind going with Sora to see Master Yen Sid?" she asked him kindly. He seemed like a good fit for this, and she figured it was because of how "close" Ven and Sora were in the past. Maybe they could really work together.

"Yeah, sure," Ven said with an optimistic nod. He didn't know what the circumstances were, but he would be glad to help. He looked over at Sora, seeing that he wasn't protesting against having someone go with him. That was good, even if Ven could tell that Sora didn't see the need for him to come too. But oh well; maybe he could cheer him up while they were there.

Aqua smiled at her best friend, his optimism and agreement bringing that out of her. "Great. I hope you're ready to leave," she said, glancing over at Sora before looking back at Ven. "Sora's wanting to leave as soon as possible."

Ven looked over at Sora, seeing him nod in agreement. "Let's go right now, then," he said. When he saw Sora nod again, he brought up a hand and smacked his armor, seeing Sora do the same about a second before he did it. He was excited to go; he loved flying to other worlds.

Aqua squinted her eyes closed at the light, her hand coming off Ven's shoulder at his transformation. She saw the light faded after a few seconds, and she hoped the boys had a safe trip.

When the light faded, Sora saw Ven's transformation. He threw up his Keyblade and his glider appeared under his feet a few seconds later, the teen lightly floating over the ground and seeing Ven do the same a few seconds later. "We'll be back soon," he said to Aqua, looking at her when he spoke. He wouldn't run off and leave his friends to their problems; he was going to fix this.

Aqua nodded once in response, acknowledging Sora's words. She was about to tell them to be careful, but it wasn't needed. Both of them knew what they had to do while away from home.

Sora saw Aqua's response, so he didn't bother speaking again. A portal appeared in the sky and he started flying towards it, Ventus a little bit behind him to give him room. And then the two of them went through it, leaving Destiny Islands and heading towards Master Yen Sid.

Aqua lifted a hand to hover above her eyes, blocking the sun as she followed the boys with her eyes. She watched them go in silence, seeing them disappear before she sighed. She hoped Sora got the answers he was seeking; Kairi and Riku needed them too.

A while later...

 

Sora touched down on the Keyblade Graveyard, his glider disappearing when he was grounded. Beside him, he noticed Ventus land as well, but he didn't pay attention to that. After the visit with Master Yen Sid, they had discovered that a part of Vanitas lived as a Lingering Sentiment. And, most likely, this Sentiment was the reason why Riku and Kairi were having nightmares. That was why he and Ventus were here, hoping to find Vanitas and put an end to him.

Vanitas's Lingering Sentiment was waiting for Sora and Ventus to arrive. As soon as they landed in the Keyblade Graveyard, the sentiment arrived in a dark cloud, uncurling from a ball. His body stretched out until his feet touched the ground, and his outfit was nearly a contrast from his original. Now, it was black and white, just as his Keyblade was when it appeared in his hand.

Ventus grunted in surprise, hearing Sora have the same reaction as he did. Both of them summoned their Keyblades and got into their stances. Through his mask, he could see the differences in Vanitas's appearance. But he was definitely the same person, and he was as evil as ever since he was tormenting Riku and Kairi. It was time for that to end.

Vanitas didn't say anything. Instead, he brought his Keyblade up in silence, getting into his stance as well. He then motioned with his free hand for Sora and Ventus to come to him. Let the battle begin.
