Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Darren wanted to laugh again, but instead he only smirked. "I shouldn't be this happy, but I am," he said, taking another step forward as he reached for a second arrow. "I mean, you're practically in your grave already. Perfect fit, too." And she wasn't defending herself, which meant Lightning would go easily.

You have no idea this is my actual grave, Claire thought, opening her eyes and looking at it in front of her. She tried to keep her heartbeat as calm as possible, since she didn't want to die. She wanted to be with her parents, but she wanted to live. No matter what, the will and instinct to live would always conquer loneliness, sadness, and hurt. It was nothing against her parents; it was the truth.

Darren held his arrow in his hand still, not lifting it to his bow just yet. "So, how does it feel?" he asked. "Knowing that you're going to die?" He lifted an eyebrow, his smirk still against his lips. It couldn't be comforting, or maybe it could. Her misery would be over; she clearly didn't feel like defending herself, at least.

Lightning grunted, both in response and in pain. She received wounds before, and she had been pierced by Darren's arrows before, too. But she never took one to the heart. Even for the strongest warrior, damage to the heart meant death. She was nothing special.

Darren's smirk only grew. "Not good, I take it," he said, using her grunt as his answer. "Kind of pathetic, if you ask me. A soldier as strong as you, refusing to defend herself? Man, you must really want to die." Lightning had fought back before, but now she wasn't. Oh well, easier for me.

Light squeezed her eyes shut, feeling the wound set in. She was going to pass out soon, and when she passed out, there would be no return. Game over. She did want to live, despite what Darren said. But she wouldn't bother standing up for herself. She was pathetic, like both Darren and Riku said.

"So, don't mind me," Darren continued, leaning against a tombstone he was near. "I'll just observe from a distance." There was no problem in that, at least in his eyes. It would actually be a little pleasing, since Lightning caused so much trouble in the past.

"You really get that much pleasure from watching another human being suffer?" Light spat, though she regretted speaking and getting worked up. Her heart beat faster, hitting the arrow and causing more damage. And Pain. She kept her eyes shut, curling up a little more in agony. You sick, twisted...

"When you're a soldier, you forget about sympathy," Darren quoted, still holding his arrow in his hand. He tapped the tip against the tombstone he was leaning on. "Or so I've been told." He was a part of the Guardian Corps for only a few weeks before he took the action necessary to get what he wanted. Of course, that hadn't worked.

Lightning was wise enough not to speak again, though she disagreed with Darren to an extent. At least when you were a soldier, you were merciful enough to end another person's life quickly. She used to think soldiers were all meant to be heartless, but that wasn't the case. The emotions were what kept them human. But while thinking these things, everything was getting foggy. ...This time, it's over.
Riku approached the cemetery, dressed in his usual vest and jeans. He was following Light's scent, which was weak at first, but now it was stronger. But why? And why a cemetery, of all places? As he got closer, walking past a few tombstones, Riku sensed even more Darkness, and it made him frown in disgust. What was going on?

Lightning had too many regrets with her life. Not growing up with Ven, letting Serah down, not saving her parents, misleading Hope so long ago, not being able to save Fang and Vanille...not being able to help Riku. Everyone, I'm so sorry. There was no time to correct her mistakes now. She was about to lose consciousness, and after that, death would come.

Riku though he heard a laugh, and at first he thought it was just his imagination, since the graveyard was creeping him out. But when he turned his head toward the noise, he saw someone nearby. Approaching, he noticed it was Darren, who was the source of the Darkness. But...who was he taunting? Riku took another step forward, peering around a larger tombstone to see the woman he loved, a grunt leaving him. Light.

Darren whirled around at the voice, his eyes darting every which way until he spotted the source. "You," he growled. That punk Riku, the one that managed to kill his friends. He was going to die too, right alongside Lightning.

Light heard the voice, though it was growing fainter in her ears as death got closer and closer. She was still hanging on, though everything was dimming. Her pulse was fading, conserving what little life she had left. Whoever was here, it was too late.
"Yeah," Riku replied, summoning his Keyblade to his grasp. The brat in front of him looked startled at the appearance of the weapon, but Riku only prepared to attack. "Me." He darted forward, jumping over a tombstone, swinging at Darren. He sent the kid flying, who landed roughly on a tombstone a few yards away.

Riku. Light's heart skipped a beat at the voice she recognized, though she didn't know what was going on behind her back. Her eyes remained shut, a hand weakly coming up and curling into a fist over her chest. You're here... She hadn't expected him to be here now.
Riku saw that Darren wouldn't be a nuisance, at least for a minute. He ran over to Lightning, kneeling down next to her. He didn't even glance at the tombstone, which held her name. "Light..." he said, worry in his voice. He saw the arrow, and how it was in her back...and all of the blood. Oh no.
  • Author
Light didn't respond to the name, feeling herself slipping more. She wouldn't cry; she had more dignity than that. ...And she used up her tears before this moment, anyway. Riku...why did you have to come here to see this?
Riku looked at the arrow in Light's back and knew that by her silence that she was losing grip; he saw Sora near death once. The scene was too familiar. "I'm sorry for this," he said, setting a hand on Lightning's shoulder before he reached for the arrow in her back. He grabbed it and gritted his teeth, then jerking it from her form.

Lightning couldn't help but scream when Riku yanked out the arrow, the pain even more unbearable than what she was already experiencing. She felt her body go limp once it was out, consciousness threatening to leave her all together. It's too late, Riku. I'm already lost. Already dead.
Riku cringed at the sound of Light's pain, the boy quickly tossing the arrow aside. "Shh," he shushed her gently, keeping his hand on her shoulder. He summoned his Keyblade back to his hand then, casting Cure. He couldn't lose her. Not like this.

Light's breathing was ragged from the pain, some of it lingering even after Riku's spell washed over her. But because the pain lessened so extremely, her breathing also calmed. She was still close to losing consciousness because of the trauma, and she couldn't guarantee what would happen if she did pass out. Sometimes, even trauma was enough to kill a person.
Riku didn't look away from Lightning, though he leaned over her a little so he could see her face, on his knees. "Light, open your eyes," he requested gently, his voice tight with worry. She had to stay with him, just until he got her to safety. Darren was still lingering around the graveyard; he could sense his Darkness.

I can't, Riku, Light thought, only furrowing her eyebrows slightly to show that she heard him. She was already too close to the edge; coming back wouldn't be easy. All that she wanted was to let go, even if that meant letting go of everything. Please, Riku...just give me permission to let go.
Riku tightened his grip on Lightning's shoulder when all she did was furrow her eyebrows, and he suddenly felt despair wash over him. "Don't do this, Lightning," he said strictly, frowning as his worry came out in anger. "Don't you dare give up." She had too much to live for.
