Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning's expression didn't change, nor did her thoughts. When you're at your lowest point, all you want is to give up. No more fighting, no nothing. I was meant to die a long time ago, Riku. You--we--have to accept that. It was the truth.
Riku kept his hold on Lightning's shoulder, though he sensed movement nearby. He ducked his head just in time to avoid an arrow, but then he lifted his hand holding the Keyblade. "Back off!" he hollered, releasing a Fire spell at the teen that tried hitting him when he was distracted. Darren needed to go; there wasn't going to be a fight today.

Lightning heard the arrow hit the tombstone right in front of her, the tombstone that was her own. And when the arrow bounced off it, it landed in front of her, the length of the arrow lightly touching her hand. Darren's still here...

Darren cried out at the fire, feeling it burn his hand. He knew he had no choice against this guy; he was a close-range fighter, and Darren was distance. This wouldn't work out in his favor. "Don't think I've given up yet!" he hollered, then turning and running away, back to his ship. He would be back, and soon.

He's leaving? Lightning thought, hearing the comment and the noise of him running away dimly. She was surprised he hadn't done it earlier; he already had his victory today. He got to Lightning and got to torment her. That should have been enough of a prize. It would only be complete if she died like he intended.
Riku saw Darren run away, and once he was sure he was gone, he turned back to Lightning. "Claire," he called softly, sorrow and fear and concern in his voice. What happened? Would she fight to stay alive? That wound was fatal; even he could tell just by looking at all of the blood.

Claire...that's right, Riku. That's who I am. Weak, pathetic little Claire who was lucky to survive the fire so many years ago. She was lucky, not actually strong. She was naive and idiotic for believing she could ever change herself to avoid her past. Her past was right here in front of her, in the form of a tombstone.
Riku knew sitting here wouldn't do anything; he had to get Lightning back to Kairi's. He put his arms underneath Lightning and grunting softly as he picked her up. She wouldn't die... He wouldn't let her. She was supposed to be with him...forever.

"...Let me go, Riku," Claire said softly, her head finding Riku's shoulder because of her weakness and unwillingness to fight this battle. This was over; it was time for him to let go of her not only physically, but emotionally. He had to let her leave.
"No." Riku walked through the tombstones, finding a path in the cemetery to take. He saw the exit and took it, leaving the place behind. He had to get Lightning back to Kairi's, before other citizens of Radiant Garden saw her state and asked questions.

"This is it, Riku," Lightning said quietly, her body getting a little more limp in his arms. Please...just tell me that it's okay for me to let go. Give me permission to stop suffering. That was all that she needed before she completely let go. Just a few words from Riku would set her free.
"I said, no," Riku said firmly, fighting his emotions. Hearing her give up so willingly and easily, it broke his heart. How could Lightning say these things to him? She knew he would never let her die...ever. He was supposed to die for her.

"...Please?" Light asked softly, this being the last request she planned on making. If Riku flat-out denied her again, then...she would just have to let go anyway. She had already clung to this life for too long; it was time for her to go join her parents.
Riku stopped walking, looking down at the woman in his eyes. "I'm not letting you go," he said gently, his eyes soft with worry and fear. "Claire...stay with me. Don't do this." He didn't want her to go... She wasn't weak, she was strong. She could fight this.

"Why shouldn't I?" Light asked softly, only fighting because she couldn't leave the one she loved so abruptly. She loved him...wanted to be with him...but, she wasn't supposed to be in the picture right now. She belonged in that graveyard. She cheated death the past few years, but now it was done. Game over.
"Because this isn't how it's supposed to end," Riku said, keeping his aqua eyes on the one he loved. "...Not like this." They were supposed to be together, get married...and she was supposed to make her own wishes come true, whatever they were. "...I can handle losing us, but not you." Not permanently.

"It isn't meant to end this way, because it was meant to end a long time ago, before we ever met," Lightning said softly. "...Go back to the graveyard, Riku. You'll see why." He probably hadn't noticed it earlier, but he would if he went back with her right now. Her tombstone was proof that she wasn't lying.
"No," Riku said softy, shaking his head. He wouldn't go back there, because that was a place of nothing but death, grief, and sorrow. Lightning didn't belong there, not now. He wouldn't allow it. He would keep her here, with him, for as long as he could.

Light furrowed her eyebrows slightly, not having the energy to turn her request into a demand. Riku was going to be stubborn, just like he always was. There was no swaying him. She felt her neck give a little, tilting back more as her head remained on Riku's shoulder. I'm slipping...
"...Light," Riku said then, feeling her head move a little on his shoulder, and seeing it too. What was wrong? Was she...? No. She couldn't be. He wouldn't let her go... "Stay with me. C'mon." She had to. She couldn't go.

"I've held on too long, Riku," Claire said softly, gathering the strength to open her eyes and look up at Riku. Her pale blue eyes found Riku's aqua ones, urgency present in them. "It's time to let go." She just couldn't...go on like this. She didn't want to fight anymore, and right now, this was a fight. Even if she did try, there was no guarantee she'd make it.
"No it's not," Riku said immediately, his eyes softening at the vulnerability in Claire's eyes. "It's time to hold on. You can't just give up..." She had to live, and not just for him; for herself, and for Ven, and Serah. She had to stay. She couldn't go.

Lightning shook her head faintly against Riku's shoulder. "I'm sorry, Riku," she said softly, shutting her eyes again and lowering her head a little. "You're wrong." This wasn't the time to hold on...She shouldn't have held on at all. She wasn't destined to be here right now, dying in Riku's arms. Destiny screwed up by letting her survive that day with Xehanort.
Riku shook his head a little, tightening his hold on the girl in his arms. "...Don't you want to get married?" he asked her softly, sorrow in his voice at how easily she could leave him. But, he wanted so much with her. If she left now, they would never have that chance.

Light opened her eyes at the question, a slight grunt leaving her lips. Marriage...She desperately wanted that, but she couldn't. "My past gets in the way of any bright future we could possibly have," she said softly, her eyes finding Riku's again. Her past would never leave her alone; it would tear her down, and Riku too.
