Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

"It's yours," Riku replied without missing a beat, being honest. That summed things up nicely, at least for him. Her bed was comfortable, more than his own. Not that he would remember; he hadn't been in his bed in a long time.

Lightning opened her eyes in surprise, glancing down and seeing the color of the sheets. She also turned her head a little and saw the rest of the room, recognizing it as her own. When did we get here? I must have really been knocked out... She didn't remember traveling between worlds at all.
Riku lowered his chin a little, being careful so he didn't accidentally hit it against Lightning's head. He could tell she was surprised, but he only smiled faintly in amusement. She was really out of it earlier, and had been for a while. He kept his arm around her, his hand touching the sheets of her bed.

Light just lowered her head after a few moments and set it where it had been before, the tip of her nose lightly touching Riku's chest. This was the warmth that she craved for so long, the warmth she hoped that she always had. She doubted this type of feeling existed after death, so she supposed that was a reason for her to live.
"Still tired?" Riku asked quietly, letting his chin lightly touch Lightning's head. He held his position, though he didn't have to do it with much effort. He was comfortable this way. It was natural for him.

Light hummed softly in confirmation, her eyes shutting again as she exhaled a soft breath against Riku's chest. She still felt exhausted, and being in Riku's comforting embrace made her want to lose consciousness again. She felt safe here, and a little more at peace.
"Don't let me keep you," Riku said then, starting to circle his hand over Lightning's back. She could sleep if she needed to; he would be here whenever she woke up. Just like he promised.

Again, Light hummed softly, feeling her body relax with Riku's light rubbing. This reminded her of what she did the other night, by rubbing his back to help him fall asleep when he was troubled. She wouldn't mind falling asleep to this; this was nice.
Riku kept up his gesture for a while, knowing it would help ease Lightning to sleep. It helped him do the same the other night, so he was sure it was the same for her. Besides, he liked this, just being with her. It was nice.

Lightning fell asleep within a few minutes, Riku's stroking and his simple presence helping her do that. She loosened her hold on him when she lost consciousness, though her arm was still wrapped lightly over his side. He was warm, so she didn't want to move away, even in her sleep. The warmth made her feel like she was alive.
Riku heard Lightning's even breathing after a few minutes passed, and he smiled to himself. He lowered his lips to her head and kissed it before pulling back, setting his chin there again. He would stay here until she woke up.

Light was asleep for maybe another hour when she suddenly felt terrible. It felt like somebody just gripped her heart and squeezed it so tightly that it couldn't beat. Her heart did stop beating because of it, though nobody actually gripped her heart. Lingering damage from the arrow caused this, and when her heart stopped, so did her breathing.
Riku looked down at Lightning, as he had been for the last couple minutes. Her breath tickled his chest over that time, but he didn't feel it now. His eyebrows furrowed, and he stopped his movement against her back. It didn't move with her breath, which meant she didn't have any. "Light..." Riku called then, his eyebrows furrowing more. She wasn't...breathing?

Light didn't respond to Riku's call, not really there anymore. When her heart stopped, technically she was dead. All that she was aware of was feeling like she was falling deeper and deeper into the darkness, where that was all that surrounded her. Darkness.
When Riku didn't get a response, he tensed up. He lifted his hand from Light's back to just under her jaw, feeling for a pulse. There isn't one, Riku realized then, and he immediately felt panic arise. He didn't even have to think twice about his next move. He pushed on Light's shoulder urgently, making it so her back was on the bed. He then pushed himself up so he was on his knees on the mattress. He pulled at her trenchcoat, snapping its clips so it just revealed her turtleneck underneath. He immediately started pressing on her chest, not hestitating. "Lightning, c'mon," he said then. She had to start breathing!

Lightning felt a small change as she fell into the darkness, some kind of weight on her chest. It wasn't suffocation; she was already doing that. She didn't understand, but she was sinking deeper into whatever this was, and she had no way to fight. What's...going on?
Riku pressed on Lightning's chest a few more times before he tilted her chin back and pinched her nose closed. He lowered his lips to her and breathed into her mouth. After this move was completed once, he checked to see if she was breathing again, and she wasn't. "C'mon, Lightning, breathe," he said, starting to push on her chest again. He couldn't lose her.

"Breathe."That was what Lightning heard, along with feeling the pressure on her chest increasing every second. How am I supposed to breathe when I'm suffocating? she questioned, not recognizing the voice, or her surroundings. The further she fell, the further she got away from herself, life. She had to find a way to get out of here...
Riku did the same procedure again, lowering his mouth to hers to breathe air into Lightning's lungs. He went back to pushing on her chest, doing this whole thing a few more times. That was when he really started to panic, and his eyes stung in disbelief. No... "Claire, come on. Breathe." She had to... He couldn't lose her.

Breathe, Claire. It was that simple. She felt the pressure against her chest again, one of them rougher than the others. It made her cough slightly, her head also turning ever so slightly. She was trying to come back...She was fighting.
Riku paused in his action, though he immediately picked up again. Not good enough. Breathe, he thought, pushing more on Lightning's chest. She wasn't going out like this. She was staying, with him...forever.

Can't...hold on, Lightning thought, feeling herself slipping again. She couldn't snap out of this that easily; she was almost gone completely, and as things kept going, the harder it became to fight back. She almost wanted to give up, just because there seemed to be no hope.
"Claire!" Riku cried then, his tone one of desperation. He pushed once more on her chest before he moved his mouth to hers, performing the other part of CPR. Why wasn't she coming back?

Claire gasped at the desperate cry she heard, breathing in the breath that Riku blew into her. Her heart started racing as well, picking up from its non-existent pulse to something a little faster than normal. She was back, and she wasn't going to let go of the grip she had on life.
Riku pulled back, looking down at the woman he loved in fear. He took his hands away from her, his wide, fearful eyes on her face. She was breathing... She was okay...
