Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Light turned her head to the side and coughed, eyebrows furrowed slightly as she did. Ugh...What just happened? Her chest felt like a ton of bricks was on top of it, but she knew that wasn't really the case. Still, though, what was this?
Riku felt a sigh of relief leave him, the boy closing his eyes. "Thank goodness," he breathed, his heart still racing with fear. What was that? Why did Lightning....leave him for a second? He didn't understand.

Light's coughing wrapped up, her chest hurting. She kept her eyebrows furrowed and turned her head the way it was before, looking up and seeing somebody looking down at her. "Riku," she said hoarsely, identifying the look of terror on his expression. What just happened?
Riku opened his eyes, his gaze immediately falling on Lightning. "Claire," he said with a small sigh. She...left him. She actually left him for a few minutes. That was the scariest moment of his life.

Something just happened. Something big, Light realized, Riku's expression still scared. And her chest wasn't feeling any better. It felt like her heart was having trouble beating. It didn't...stop, did it?
Riku looked at the woman he loved in silence, then lifting his hand from the mattress to cup her face. "You're okay...thank goodness," he said, breathless with fear. He'd lost her for a second, just a moment, but it was the worst moment he'd ever had. Lightning nearly died right in front of him...in his arms.

I must have...Light didn't finish the thought, knowing what happened. If Riku was so panicked over her being alright, and she didn't remember anything from that time, then that meant she wasn't with him. She was...gone. She lifted one of her hands and set it on Riku's on her cheek, eyes shutting. The wound from Darren still has a chance to kill me after all.
Riku felt Light's touch, but he kept his eyes on her. She was gone...She died. That shook him to the core, and he tightened his other hand into a fist just in case it trembled. He didn't ever want to see this happen again.

"...My heart hurts really badly," Light whispered softly, furrowing her eyebrows slightly at the mention and the pain. It felt like...Something unexplainable. Like her heart weighed a ton now, and it couldn't beat right. And whenever it did beat, it hurt. A lot.
"I know," Riku said with a small nod. "It's okay." It wasn't really, but she was going to be alright. He would make sure of that. He wasn't going to lose her again.

Light disagreed with Riku saying that he knew, or that it was okay. He didn't know how unbearable the pain was, and it obviously wasn't okay. But she wasn't about to give up because of the pain; she saw his look of terror when she came back to him, and his voice was still shaky. She couldn't leave him again and break his heart.
Riku lowered his forehead to Lightning's, closing his eyes with a small sigh. He had to cure her, but would a simple healing spell work on this? He cured her earlier, and it didn't do anything, did it? So what was he supposed to do?

Light felt Riku's breath against her face, his forehead also against hers. She would have lifted her free hand to his cheek, but it was curled into a fist to deal with the pain. She didn't know how to get rid of this pain, but she at least needed to calm down so its pace would do the same. That knowledge didn't help much, since it would be hard to calm down after what just happened.
Riku kept his eyes closed, though his hand stayed against Lightning's cheek. Even if her hand was over his, he moved his thumb against her skin. Don't scare me like that, he wanted to say. But she couldn't control what happened, so he wouldn't pin the blame on her. It was that arrow, which belonged to Darren. He was going to pay for this.

"Riku, can I ask you to do something for me?" Lightning asked softly after a few moments, not moving. She didn't know how to take away the pain, but she knew how to prevent things from going so far next time. So she was going to take advantage of that.
"Yeah," Riku said softly. Whatever it was, he would do it. He wanted to make Lightning better, and he already devoted his life to her. Whatever she needed, he would do.

"There's a watch in the middle drawer of my dresser, underneath some of my clothes," Light said softly. "Can you get it for me?" It wasn't an ordinary watch, or really a watch at all. But that was what it looked like, so that was how she described it to Riku.
"Yeah, sure," Riku said softly. He fought the urge to kiss her before he pulled back, his hand leaving her face. He moved his leg to the floor and got up from the bed. He approached Lightning's dresser and pulled out the middle drawer like she said, spotting the watch. He picked it up and then brought it back to the bed, sitting down beside Lightning and holding it out to her.

Light had opened her eyes to watch Riku, and when he sat down beside her with the watch in his grasp, she nodded a small thanks to him and took it. She put it on her wrist while explaining. "This'll monitor my pulse," she said softly. "If it gets too low, it'll release a shock to jump-start my heart. And if that fails, it'll start beeping to alert you to the problem." She turned it on then, glad she had such a gadget. She only used it once before, but today, it would come in handy.
Riku didn't say anything, just looking down at the gadget on Light's wrist. He then lifted his eyes to her. He didn't like to think of her leaving him again, but Fate always had a plan. Of course, he would fight it, to keep her with him. Always.

Light saw the way that Riku looked at her, and she knew what he was feeling. She was feeling the same thing. She set her hand with the watch on one of Riku's, her eyes following the motion. She hoped they didn't have a scare like this again, but better safe that sorry.
"How long will you have to wear that thing?" Riku asked softly, looking down at the gadget before lifting his face to Lightning's again. He didn't want to constantly worry about it beeping...or shocking her. He was still scared, and he had a feeling he would be for a while.

Lightning shrugged faintly, fighting the urge to wince when the movement caused pain. "As long as there seems to be a problem, I guess," she said softly. Once it felt like her heart was back to normal, then she could take off the watch.
"Mm," Riku replied softly. As long as that watch was on, he'd be by Light's side. No matter what. He didn't want to lose her, not again. One time was more than enough.

"...Riku, you need to do something to relax," Light said gently, seeing how his expression of fear still wasn't gone. "I'll be alright for a little while." At least, that was what she felt like. Yeah, the pain was bad, but she didn't feel like it would drag her under anytime soon.
