Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku looked away at that, staring down at Lightning's hand on his own. He didn't know what to do to relax; his heart was still beating fast with adrenaline and fear. How could he relax after that?

"Go for a walk, or watch TV or something," Light recommended softly. She didn't know what she'd do in the mean time; she'd probably just lay here and try to calm down herself. She didn't know how she'd do it, but oh well. That was how things were right now.
"...I don't want to leave you," Riku admitted softly, keeping his gaze where it was. He turned his hand over to grip hers, his fingers wrapping around her hand securely. He wanted to be with her as she recovered. Maybe he could even help.

"Then why don't we both watch TV?" Light suggested quietly. "The distraction will be good." She needed to find some way to calm down, and laying here wasn't going to do anything for her. TV at least had a chance of soothing her heart, and so did Riku's presence.
Riku nodded slightly and put his feet back on the floor, standing. However, he didn't let go of Lightning's hand, preparing to at least help her up. He was sure she could walk; he wouldn't take things too far and carry her.

Light forced her free hand to uncurl from a fist, her palm sitting on the bed as she pushed herself up. She grunted and fought the urge to freeze up at the pain, instead turning so her feet were on the ground. Looking down at them, she realized that her coat was unbuckled. Oh well.
Riku noticed what Lightning was looking at, which caused him to remember how urgent he had been to get her to start breathing again. He hadn't even thought of what he was doing; he just did it. But it was to save Lightning's life, so it was alright.

Lightning gently slipped her hand out of Riku's, using both hands to take off the coat. She would be comfortable without it for a while, and in case Riku had to do what he did earlier once again...Well, the coat would already be out of the way. She let it sit on the bed behind her as she carefully pushed herself up to her feet, hands curling into tight fists at the pain.
Once Lightning was standing, Riku walked with her to the living room, where they both sat down on the couch. He turned the television on with the remote, his arm on the couch behind the woman he loved. He wanted to help her, but for right now, there was nothing he could do. He had to accept that.

Light leaned her side against Riku's, her head on his shoulder. She gazed at the television through half-open eyes, not really paying attention to it. Riku cast Cure on her for the wound, but obviously it hadn't healed everything. Maybe there was still a fragment of the arrow within her. But if that was the case, she'd need to find a magician more powerful than Riku or get surgery.
Riku lowered his hand to Lightning's shoulder, lightly tracing circles in her skin as they watched TV. Well, he wasn't exactly watching. He was still thinking about what just happened, back in Light's room. They were resting, and she was sleeping, but then she stopped breathing. She died, but he brought her back. He would always bring her back; he wouldn't stop until he did, if this happened again.

Claire shut her eyes, her breathing calm despite her pounding heart. It felt like it was working so much harder than it should have been. It was harder to get over this than she expected, especially now that she was thinking of the circumstances that brought around this pain. Visiting her parents'--and her own--graves. She should have at least put up a shield to protect herself, even if she didn't want to fight back.
Riku turned his head a little to look at Lightning at the thought, and he leaned forward to give her a small kiss on her head. He didn't want her to leave him again, but what if Fate had something else in mind? He could fight back, but nobody could guarantee he would win.

Lightning felt the small kiss, a gesture that she was already used to experiencing. On a completely different thought, she wondered how Destiny Islands was fairing. How long would it take for everything to thaw? It had been a few days since she started the process. I'm meant to be here, aren't I? I have the capability to make the future brighter...Fate has to keep me around.
Riku pulled back a little, though not too far. "I love you," he whispered to Lightning softly. He almost thought he wouldn't have a chance to say it again, but now that he had the opportunity, he wasn't going to waste it.

"I love you too," Light whispered to Riku, his words bringing back memories from earlier that day. She said she didn't know who she was, so how could he know who she was well enough to love her? She felt her heart tense at the thoughts. She still had a lot of things to face, and she couldn't do it when her heart was in this condition. But she couldn't avoid any of it, either.
Riku smiled faintly at the words, glad to hear them returned. "...I'm always here for you," he told the woman he loved softly. "Don't ever forget that." He wouldn't hesitate even for a second about helping her. He may have put her down and pushed her away, but he was just angry. He didn't mean it.

Light nodded faintly against Riku's shoulder, able to tell by his tone that he wore a small smile. But the pain in her heart was increasing now; she couldn't focus on what he said. She grunted at the pain, eyebrows furrowing. Ugh...This is bad.
Riku's smile faded at the grunt, and he wrapped his arm a little more around Lightning's shoulders. She was obviously still in pain, and he wanted to take it away. But there was nothing he could do.

Lightning kept her eyes shut like they had been for a while, her hand coming up and gripping Riku's vest tightly. She held onto it so tightly that her knuckles turned white, her breathing also a little more ragged than before due to the pain. I can't let it take me down. I can't.
Riku looked down at Lightning, and he lifted his free hand to sit on her arm that was stretched toward him. "It's alright," he told her softly. She would be alright. She was strong; she could fight this and win. He was sure of it.
  • Author
No, Riku, it's not. "It's killing me," Light said with a grunt, eyebrows furrowing more over her closed eyes. This could literally be the death of her. If she didn't get this pain to ease within the next minute or so, she could possibly have a heart attack. That would have been much, much worse than this.
Riku's eyes hardened at that, but he still tried to remain calm. "Just breathe," he said softly. Think of something else. Of Ven, or Serah. Me. Anything that would make her forget about the pain, he wanted her to think about.

Breathe. Just focus on that. Light kept her tight grip on Riku's vest, forcing herself to focus on her breathing. The pain in her heart spread to her whole torso and made her lungs want to freeze up as well, but she couldn't let that happen. She exhaled a breath through her mouth, taking in another one once she was done exhaling. I have to beat this...
Riku remained calm despite his worries and fears, his hand circling over Light's skin again. He was hoping it would help calm her down, but it might not as well. Either way, he was going to try. He wanted her to stay with him...forever. He wanted to marry her, after all...
