Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku got up from the couch then, and all he had to do was go get his shirt and shoes. He did that, and when he came back to the living room, he gave Lightning a small kiss. "I'll be back soon," he told her just after pulling back, his face still close to hers. He would make sure he wasn't gone long.

"Take your time," Light insisted gently, her eyes on Riku's. She would be here when he came back. Well, as long as she had a say in it, anyway. She wasn't going to give up fighting for her life, and hopefully the fight wouldn't be too hard. She'd have to wait and see to find out just how bad her injury was.
Riku nodded slightly, standing upright. "See you soon," he called softly, then turning and starting for the door. He was actually a little nervous about this, and he wished Lightning could come with him, but she had to stay here. She had to focus on recovering.

"Good luck," Light called in return, not having to raise her voice higher than its normal level since Riku was still in the room. "Love you." She had to throw on the last bit, because she knew this wouldn't be easy for him. But he was facing it without backing down, and she was proud of him for that.
Riku approached the front door, but he turned around, a small smile on his face as he looked to the woman he adored. "Love you too," he said with a small nod. He let his gaze linger on Lightning for another moment before he turned, opening the door and then stepping out. He didn't hesitate summoning his armor or glider, then taking off and leaving Cocoon. His first stop would be Radiant Garden, then Traverse Town.

Later

Sora sat with his back to the couch, Riku's girlfriend laying across it behind him. He had insisted that she go to bed to sleep for the rest of the night, since it was pretty late, but she was even more insistent that she sleep on the couch. She didn't want Sora to be bored babysitting her, she said. So here he was, watching television in Lightning's living room while she slept behind him. He didn't dare fall asleep during this duty, remembering what happened a long time ago when he was supposed to watch Kairi but he fell asleep. Riku would be even more ticked if he failed at this job.

Riku was on his way back from Destiny Islands, having checked on the state of his home while he was out. So far, it was still in the process of thawing out, but it was making some progress. Hopefully everyone would be able to go back soon. Until then, Riku would be with Lightning, the boy on his way to see her now. He hoped she was doing alright.

Sora sat with one leg extended, one knee up and his arm resting on it. Even if the TV was on, he wasn't paying attention to it. He was thinking about himself, and Kairi. They had been doing good for a while, but when he told her about returning to Destiny Islands, she seemed unsure. But unfortunately, they didn't get much of a chance to talk about it. Riku had unknowingly interrupted them. And since Sora was so sure the conversation wasn't that big of a deal, he just said he and Kairi would pick it up later. He was still sure things would be fine; he could easily convince her to go back to Destiny Islands with him when the world was inhabitable again.
Riku entered Cocoon a few minutes later, and when he did, he touched down on the ground just in front of Lightning's house. He looked up at the home when his armor disappeared, it being nighttime here. He could still see fairly well, but he just wanted to see the person he loved. As he started toward the door, he was sure Sora did a good job taking care of her for him. He could trust him. Riku put his hand on the door handle, pushing it open and stepping inside.

Sora heard Light's calm breathing behind him, also hearing a door open somewhere else in the house. That's Riku. Nobody else would come into her house in that manner, quiet but not trying to hide themselves. Riku took a few hours, but that was alright. He spoke to Lightning about a lot of things earlier, including why she felt so strongly about Riku being close to his parents. She even wanted to be woken up when Riku came back so she could know things were okay with him. Lightning and Riku...They're the real deal. He was happy, for both of them.
Riku shut the door behind him, locking it right after. He then started toward the living room, his eyes finding Sora's spiky hair in front of the couch, which meant... The boy approached the back of the couch, putting his hands on the back of it as he looked over. That was when he saw the woman he loved, sound asleep. "How's she been?" he asked quietly, looking to his best friend as he kept his position.

Sora turned, looking at Riku behind the couch. "Fine," he said with a soft nod, sure to keep his voice quiet as well. "She only got into trouble once, and that was only for a minute or two. She said it wasn't as bad as what you saw earlier." But from Sora's perspective, it was still bad. He couldn't believe Darren shot her heart like that. But he cast a Cure spell on her to see if it would help, and whether it did or not, she seemed to be doing a little better now than she had been earlier.
"Mm," Riku hummed softly, lowering his eyes to Lightning again. He set one arm on the back of the couch, leaning against it as he lowered his other hand to brush Lightning's cheek. "Thanks for watching her for me. I appreciate it." He had accidentally interrupted Sora and Kairi in a conversation, but Sora was still willing to come and help out.

Sora hummed, nodding faintly as well. "Sure thing." It hadn't been a problem, especially since he knew Riku had serious business to take care of where Lightning couldn't come along. Riku kept reminding him of how close he was to Lightning, especially by how he was willing to show affection to her even with Sora in the room. It was strange seeing Riku in love, but it was definitely a good thing. He was happy for his friend's love life, though he knew things weren't perfect elsewhere. He wondered how things with his parents went, and so he was about to ask. "How'd it go?"
Riku shrugged a little, though he did run his fingers over Light's cheek again. "My mom cried, and my dad hardly said a word," he revealed softly. "But we settled things out." His parents still loved him, that much he knew. When he stepped into the house, his mother wouldn't let him go. Eventually she did, so they could sit down and talk. He explained everything the best he could, though he left out the harsher details. He left thinking his parents still accepted him as their son, and he hoped that was how it was.

Sora hummed with a small nod, believing that wasn't too bad of an answer. He had already explained things to his parents; he couldn't avoid it, since he practically lived in Radiant Garden now to keep Kairi safe. And plus, that day they evacuated the Islands, he had taken charge, proving he wasn't quite "normal". But anyway, his parents had handled it pretty well. They were actually proud of him for becoming the young man he did, even if he came to be that way through battles.
Riku brushed some of Light's hair behind her ear in the silence, wondering how long she had been asleep. It must have been a while, since she wasn't waking up from the conversation or his touch; that must have meant she was sleeping deeply. Good. She needed the rest after what she went through.

"You stop by home?" Sora asked, referring to Destiny Islands. He hadn't had a chance to see it since the day he and Riku went together, unfortunately. But he hoped their home was thawing nicely, and they could all go back soon. It was where they belonged.
"Yeah," Riku answered quietly, pulling his hand back from Lightning's face and putting that arm over the other on the back of the couch. "It's thawed out more since we were there. We should be able to head back soon." Of course, they would have to snoop around and make sure nothing was out of the ordinary. Something like this couldn't happen again.

Sora hummed again, nodding faintly. That was really good to hear. He missed his home, and he was sure Riku did too. He was glad his friend said "we" instead of "you guys", because he sort of wondered what Riku and Lightning would do. She had a life here, after all.
Riku looked at his best friend, his eyebrows furrowing a little. "Sorry about interrupting earlier," he said softly, apologizing. He hadn't meant to interfere with his best friend's conversation with Kairi. That had just been bad timing.

Sora shrugged faintly, not aware that Lightning was starting to wake up with the continuous noise, however soft it was. "No big deal." They'd pick up with things later, when Sora returned to Radiant Garden. They spent a lot of time together these days, something he was extremely thankful for.
"Mm," Riku hummed softly. Alright then. If it wasn't that big of a deal, he wouldn't bring it up again. Though he couldn't help but notice Kairi's face before he left Radiant Garden. She seemed a little...worried.

"So, how have things with you guys been going lately?" Sora asked, referring to Riku and Lightning. He and Riku hadn't seen each other much, and when they were searching for Lightning a few days ago, they hadn't spoken much about Riku's romantic relationship. He was curious about whether or not his friend was a softy now, or a sap.
"Good," Riku said, the faintest of smiles forming on his lips. "Really good." He lowered his eyes to the girl he loved, seeing that she was still sleeping. He was happy, despite a few minor problems. He was adjusting to this new part of his life, so he was okay.
