Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Yeah?" Sora asked, a smirk starting to form on his lips. "Are you a sap like me now?" Riku teased him so often in the past about how much he loved Kairi, but he seemed to be the same with Lightning now. It was unexpected, but good. Sora knew how happy love could make a person, and it was about time Riku was happy.
Riku's smile turned into a smirk, his eyes falling on his best friend. "I knew you were gonna ask," he said then. However, he nodded. "But yeah, I am." He knew he was a sap, but he accepted it. He loved Lightning, and a name wasn't going to change that.

"Not so bad, is it?" Sora asked, his smirk turning into a more genuine smile. Being a sap wasn't bad at all when you were in love, and you cherished somebody with all your heart. It helped a person mature and discover themselves, too. He was sure Riku was finding that out for himself.
"Nah. But I don't regret picking on you," Riku said, still leaning against his arms on the back of the couch. "So worth it." His smirk grew a little, his eyes on Sora. He remembered teasing Sora all the time, but it was all in good nature.

Sora chuckled, knowing he should have expected a response like that. Riku naturally picked on people; it was just who he was. But he was learning when he took things too far and being more careful not to offend people. My "big brother" is growing up.
Riku laughed a little as well, his gaze lowering to the person he loved. She must have really been out, and he was sure she would have liked to hear a conversation like this. Oh well. She needed the rest. He'd let her be.

Sora followed Riku's gaze to Lightning, seeing how she was still asleep. "She wanted to be woken up once you got back," he said, looking to Riku again. So, would Riku choose to wake her up?
Riku's smirk slowly faded away, his eyes staying on Lightning. "Did she say why?" he asked softly. Was it so she knew he was here, or because she wanted to see how things went? That was all he could come up with as an answer.

Sora nodded faintly. "She said she wanted to know how things went with your parents," he responded softly. To stress how important it was that she was woken up, she even told Sora that she felt so strongly about Riku's situation because she missed her own parents. She actually opened up to him a bit, which was surprising. But still, it wasn't Sora's choice as to whether or not she was woken up. It was Riku's.
Riku nodded a little, but otherwise kept his gaze on Lightning. She needed her rest, so he wanted her to stay asleep. But the couch wasn't the best place anyway. He lowered his hand to Lightning's head, running his fingers over her pink hair. "Hey," he called softly. "Light."

Sora saw how Lightning didn't respond right away, the brunet rising to his feet and looking from the girl to Riku. "Wake her with a kiss, Romeo," he said with a slight smirk. "I'll get goin' so you don't look like a total sap in front of me." He wasn't needed here anymore.
Riku gave Sora a look, but a second after, he smirked. "Say hi to Kairi for me," he requested softly. He wasn't going to tell Sora to get back safely; he already knew. After all, they were brothers, in a sense; they looked after each other.

"I will," Sora said with a small nod. "But be sure to drop by soon, okay? She misses you." And Sora did too, obviously. He, Riku, and Kairi were a family, connected not by blood, but friendship. Sometimes, that bond was stronger than one with the same genes anyway.
"Got it," Riku said with a small nod. Once things with Lightning were a little more secure, he would take a few hours to stop by and see what was going on in the world his two friends were staying on. Until then, his main priority was Lightning, for obvious reasons.

Sora smiled faintly, walking around the couch. "See you later, then," he said, lifting a hand and clasping Riku's shoulder briefly as he walked to the door. He already had his shoes on, so he was set to head back to Radiant Garden and Kairi.
"See ya, man," Riku called, turning his head to follow Sora with his eyes. Until next time. It would just be him and Lightning for a little while, though he didn't mind it. Regardless, he did miss his friends. Hopefully the Islands would come back soon, that way they could all be together again.

Sora lifted a hand and waved a little before he reached the door, his gaze forward the whole time. He grabbed the handle and then let himself out, thinking about how sad he was to leave his friend again. But someday soon, they'd all be together again at their home. He just had to be patient.
Riku heard the door close, and he moved around the couch once he knew Sora was gone. He knelt down in front of Lightning's spot, lifting a hand to her cheek as the other rested on the couch. "Light," he called again, running his thumb over her cheek gently. He was back and waking her up, just like she wanted.

Light felt the hand on her cheek faintly, also comprehending that somebody was trying to wake up. She hummed softly and leaned into the hand, starting to come to. Was that Riku with her? He was finally back?
"Wake up," Riku called softly, his eyes dancing over Lightning's face. She looked so peaceful when she was asleep; he almost regretted trying to wake her up. But this was what she wanted, so he would give it to her.

Lightning peeked her eyes open, seeing Riku in front of her. She blinked a few times to try and come out of her slumber more quickly, her drowsiness starting to fade away. He was back from Traverse Town; she wanted to hear how things went.
"Hey," Riku said upon seeing Light's eyes, his thumb running over her cheek again. She was still groggy, obviously, but that was alright. He would take things slow at first, that way she had enough time to catch up.
  • Author
"Hey," Light responded softly. "How'd it go?" She wanted to cut right to the chase, because she had been thinking about Riku all night. He deserved a good relationship with his parents, and she hoped he got that tonight.
"Okay, I guess," Riku said, pulling his hand back. "My mom was hysterical." Not in a good way, of course; she had been crying the whole time. It kind of upset him that he hadn't gone to see his parents sooner.
  • Author
"What?" Lightning asked softly, waking up more at the response Riku gave to her question. She hadn't expected that. She would have thought Riku's mom would have been overjoyed to see him. She pushed herself up into a sitting position, ignoring the lingering pain in her chest.
