Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku shrugged a little. "As soon as I walked in the door, she wouldn't let go of me," he said. After a second, he lowered his gaze to the couch. "She kept crying..." It was sad, really. He'd never seen his mother so upset.

Light only hummed, not sure how to respond. At least she embraced Riku when he came; that was a good sign. It meant that she was worried for her son, or so Lightning perceived.
"My dad didn't really know what to say," Riku revealed then, remembering how quiet his father had been. "But, we talked. They asked a few questions, I answered." He did leave out the harsher details, though, like how much pain he experienced during some circumstances. "I left thinking we were alright, so hopefully we are." At least for now.

Lightning hummed again, nodding faintly. Well then, that was good. As long as Riku got things settled with his parents, at least to an extent, then his trip was worth it. "Are you glad you talked to them?" she asked softly, her drowsiness almost completely gone by now.
Riku nodded a little, pushing himself up from the floor. He didn't know it until he saw them, but...he missed them. The first thing he thought when he saw them was that he stayed away too long.

Light kept her gaze on Riku, glad that he was happy he saw his family. From now on, Lightning would make sure he visited them more often. Maybe she would come with sometime, too, if he wanted.
"How you feeling?" Riku asked, looking down at Lightning, the boy standing beside her as she sat on the couch. She looked a little better, which was good. It was a start.

"I'm alright," Lightning said with a small nod, looking up at Riku. She felt really bad earlier today, but she calmed herself down before it got too serious. It was hard to get too anxious when Sora was here, just because he kept things so lighthearted. He was good company.
"Mm," Riku hummed with a small nod. That was good. He heard as much from Sora, but he wanted to check with Lightning, since she was awake now. Only she could really know how she was doing, after all.

"I'll have to thank Sora next time I see him," Light said, glancing around and seeing it was just her and Riku. "He was good company." He cracked jokes but also realized she was hurting, so he took care of her physical needs as well as her emotional ones. And one of her emotional ones was to get her focus off Riku and off herself. He did a good job at distracting her.
"I don't doubt it," Riku replied with a small shake of his head. He then looked towards the door, where Sora left. "He always has been that way." He made things better, which wasn't too surprising. He'd always been the lighter of him and Riku.

"Mm," Lightning hummed with a small nod. She could tell that was true, just because Sora's lightheartedness was so natural. He had a real gift for making people feel at ease, and he used it. He was a good kid.
Riku turned his head to look at Lightning, his eyes just resting on her for the moment. As much as he wanted to be with his friends and family, he wanted to be with her more. Love was an unusual thing, and new to him still, since it gave him urges he'd never had with anyone else before. But Lightning... He was glad she returned his feelings. Life would have been hard without them.

Lightning looked back to Riku after glancing at the door like he had, seeing how deeply he gazed at her. "What're you staring at?" she asked, a crooked smile starting to form on her lips. He stared at her pretty often, so often that she had to tease him for it every once in a while.
Riku smiled a little, lifting his hand to ruffle the back of his shorter hair. "Nothing," he said, glancing away then. He was just gazing at the person he loved, as usual.
  • Author
"Nothing, huh?" Lightning asked, "hmphing" once she asked the question. "That's insulting, considering you were looking at me." She folded her arms over her chest, looking away. Apparently, now she was "nothing".
Riku fought the urge to chuckle. "No, you're something alright," he said, lowering his hand from his head. "I just felt too much pressure, so I backed off. You can be pretty intimidating, after all." He was just messing with her now, though what he said was pretty true. He'd seen her mad before. It wasn't the most pleasant thing.

Lightning rolled her eyes, not buying that was the real reason Riku didn't respond by saying he was staring at her. "I'm not intimidating to you when I ask a simple question like that, Goof."
"I don't know," Riku said, putting his fists on his hips. "Those eyes of yours can glare at me anytime they want. If I stared a little longer, things might have gotten icy." That being, her eyes. She could put on a mean glare too, if she wanted. He didn't want to be on the receiving end of it again. Not like the other night.
  • Author
"I don't have any reason to glare at you now, so don't worry about turning to ice with any harsh stares," Lightning said with a slight smirk, turning her head and looking to Riku again. She wasn't mad at him, and when she was, she didn't hold a grudge for too long.
Riku smirked then, sitting down in the open spot next to Lightning. "So I have permission, then?" he asked, referring to staring. Light was beautiful, so he wouldn't mind looking at her for a little while. After all, she was his. He could look at her any time he wanted, right?
  • Author
"As long as you don't glare at me and turn me to ice," Light said, making a face. When they got into a fight the other night, he had glared at her pretty harshly. But she was sure that he wouldn't do that again.
Riku's smirk fell away at that, the boy lowering his gaze. That was right; he'd been really harsh the other day. Did he ever apologize for that? He didn't really remember, since the last few days had been pretty crazy. "...Sorry about that," he said, glancing back up at the person he loved.
  • Author
"Forget about it," Light said with a shrug, Riku having already apologized for something concerning their fight. She didn't want to think about that, especially now when her heart was so fragile. Anything that could make her pulse get too high was dangerous territory.
"Mm," Riku hummed softly, nodding as well. He would do as Light asked, since she needed to stay calm a lot of the time. At least until her heart was in better condition.
