A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

"You alright?" Riku asked after a small moment of silence. Is that why she asked if he was awake? Was Lightning having trouble falling asleep herself?

Light hummed, nodding faintly and opening her eyes to see Riku. "Can't sleep," she said softly, leaving out the part where she was in pain. It wasn't too bad, so she wasn't going to make him worry about it.

Riku's eyebrows furrowed a little, but he otherwise kept his eyes closed. "Sorry to hear that," he replied, being genuine. The only two reasons he could come up with Light not being able to fall asleep was that she slept too long before, or she wasn't feeling too great.

"Mm," Light said, shutting her eyes again. That was all Riku could really say to her, since there wasn't anything they could do to help her sleep. Unless she took medicine or something, but she didn't want to do that. All the side-effects weren't pleasant.

I wish there was something I could do, Riku thought in silence. He didn't want Lightning to suffer, if pain was the reason why she couldn't get some rest. He would take her pain away and put it on himself if he could, but it was impossible...

Light lifted a hand to the pillow in front of her, exhaling a soft breath through her mouth. She wasn't going to sleep, but she could still get comfortable. Riku, at least he could get some rest. And as long as she was near him, she was content.

Riku wasn't sure what to say, or do, which was why he didn't do anything. He wanted to help Lightning, and he would, if there was something he could do. Until then, there wasn't much else to do except sleep.

Lightning pushed herself into a sitting position slowly, though she could tell Riku was still awake. "Get some sleep," she said. "I'm gonna go so my restlessness doesn't bother you." She'd probably be tossing and turning till she could sleep, and there was no guarantee that time would come soon.

Riku opened his eyes, seeing that Lightning was sitting up. "You sure?" he asked lowly. She wasn't bothering him...and he wasn't all that tired. If she wanted him to stay up with her, he would.

"Mm," Light hummed with a small nod, looking down at Riku from her spot. "You don't have to feel obligated to stay with me. I'll be alright." She would just kill time until she was actually tired enough to sleep.

Riku nodded a little. "Alright," he replied softly. If that was what she wanted. He would try his best to sleep.

Claire smiled faintly, bending down and giving Riku a kiss on the lips. She shut her eyes with the action, one of her hands lightly sitting on his chest as she kissed him. I love you.

Riku's hand that had been resting on his stomach then lifted to Lightning's cheek, the boy kissing her back. He wasn't sure what this was for, but he wasn't about to refuse it. He loved Lightning's show of affection.

Light kissed Riku a few more moments before she withdrew, her eyes staying shut after the kiss ended and her face lingered right by his. In a way, she was glad that he wasn't going to tag along with her and give her some alone time. She had a lot to think about concerning her own identity.

Riku opened his eyes, able to see Lightning in the darkness. "I love you," he told her quietly, considering how close she was to him. He ran his thumb over her skin, his hand still on her cheek. He loved her kisses, her hugs, her heart, everything. She was great.

Lightning smiled softly, that being the first smile she wore in a while. "I love you too," she said softly. She always would. And now, this contact with Riku was making it so that she didn't want to go away from him. What should I do?

Riku saw that smile, and it was enough to draw one out of him. He leaned up a little, giving Lightning another small kiss before his head found the pillow again. He let his fingers trail down her face as he let it come back to rest on his bare stomach, the boy's eyes still resting on her. "Do what you have to," he encouraged her softly. She clearly couldn't sleep, so whatever she had to do, she should do it.

Light's small smile grew a little bit, her eyes opening to her boyfriend. "Thank you," she whispered, leaning down and giving him another brief kiss before she sat completely upright again. She did have to do this; if she stayed with Riku and was troubled, he'd worry. She didn't want that for him.

Riku hummed softly, nodding a little with his head still against the pillow. He kept his eyes on Light, watching her in silence. He'd see her in a few hours, since he was sure it was already morning.

Light's fingers briefly ran over Riku's chest before she took her hand back, turning to the other side of the bed and setting her feet on the ground. She pushed herself up with a grunt, ruffling her hair a little once she was up. She'd probably just go to the living room.

"If you need anything," Riku started, his eyes still on Light, "let me know." He wouldn't hesitate getting out of bed to help her out. If he couldn't protect her, he'd help her.

Lightning nodded faintly, starting around the bed towards the door. "I will," she assured him softly. "Goodnight, Riku." She leaned a shoulder against the doorway, smiling softly at her boyfriend while lingering where she was for a few moments. She loved him with her whole being, something she didn't know she was capable of. But it was a great feeling to care for somebody so much.

Riku smiled a little. "'Night, Light," he called in return. He kept his position, though he would get under the covers pretty soon. He always did get colder during the night.

Light lifted a hand and waved faintly, a small smile lingering on her lips as she turned and left the room. Once she was out of Riku's sight, the smile faded. It felt like so long ago they got into their fight, but Lightning had been in a state of emotional turmoil since then. She had to sort this out, whether it was good for her heart or not.

Riku turned over then, tucking his arm under his pillow as he closed his eyes. He released a small sigh in content, happy with the way things were. We could do without Light's injured heart, but...everything else is good. The Islands were coming back, his parents still accepted him as their son, and he and Light were on good terms again. Hopefully it didn't get taken away anytime soon.
