Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Yup!" Sora called in response. He knew how to work the computer, too, so he would work it and transport all of them back to Radiant Garden. He couldn't wait to get back, even if that meant leaving this ally alone. Kairi...I hope you're okay.
Roxas glanced over his shoulder, seeing the clones in pursuit. "Better run faster!" he said, picking up speed. The clones were gaining on them, so they had to hurry up and get out of here.

You're almost there, guys... Lightning thought, focusing her magic on another Aero spell. A tornado roared through the area, dispelling any other clones that would have gotten in the way of her friends. But no matter how many she destroyed, they kept coming back eventually. As long as they got out safely, then Light could start avoiding fights and go to the core to end this.
Riku ran in hot pursuit of his friends, near the back of the line. He glanced over his shoulder to see the girl still fighting, whoever she was. Regardless, he saw the transporter that would get them back to the real world, and how his friends started to hop onto the small platform so they could go. He did the same, ready to get out of here. But their problems wouldn't be over once they left.

Sora went to the computer right away, typing in the codes he knew were necessary to get him and his friends to safety. He grimaced behind his mask when the stranger got knocked down, the young woman casting another Lightning spell to get the enemies away. But it didn't matter whether or not she was strong enough to face them on her own, because in that instant, all of them but her teleported back to Radiant Garden.
Aqua felt a small wave of relief wash over her when she recognized the computer room, but she knew they couldn't relax yet. Everyone in town was in trouble, which meant they had to get moving as soon as possible. The Princesses were definitely at risk.

Sora's armor vanished, the teen willing it away since it was cracked in a few places. He walked up to the computer, wiping his forehead with his arm to get rid of some sweat. He knew they couldn't relax long, but still..."Tron, thanks for sending that person in to help us," he said, not asking her identity even if he was curious.

"Of course, Sora, though it wasn't my idea to provide assistance," Tron admitted modestly. "She volunteered herself."

"'She' who?" Roxas asked, walking forward a few feet to stand next to Sora. Who would volunteer for such a thing? "Was it Yuffie?" That was the only person he could come up with as a possibility.

"No. In fact, it was one of your other friends, and if I remember correctly, she said she was related to Ven and had special circumstances with Riku," Tron said in return. "Lightning."

"What?!" Riku cried instantly, his armor gone now, just like the others. He immediately moved away from the transporter, stepping past Terra, Aqua, and Ven. There was no way... She was supposed to be at home, in Cocoon!

Ven grunted, his blue eyes widening at what Tron just said. "Lightning?!" She was supposed to be at home, resting! And now she was fighting in a foreign world, by herself, while she was still wounded! They had to get back in there!

Stay out, everyone, Lightning thought, working on the computer after they all left. It was the same one that Sora used to transport them out, and it was a level above the clones, so she was safe for a few moments. She pushed one last key and then initiated what she set up earlier from Radiant Garden: a firewall, meant to keep things from coming in or going out of the computer. Now none of her friends could come back in, if they were even going to try. But she also believed that Darren, Rena, and Gual were on on the inside, so now they were trapped as well. Good.

"I'm sorry, but that is the truth."

"Send me back in," Riku said, walking a few feet ahead to stand next to Sora at the computer. "Now, Tron. Send me back in!" She had a heart condition, one she nearly died from not too long ago. She wasn't staying in the Grid.

"I can't do that, Riku," Tron said calmly, just having entered a code to the system. "Just before she entered the Grid, she was typing in some codes, but I was so worried over all of you that I didn't pay any particular attention to what she was doing. But...it seems that she's put up a firewall. No one can get in or out of the system."

"...We've gotta get into town," Terra said after a brief moment of silence. "There's no immediate way to help Lightning, but there is a way to help the Princesses." They had to go and protect them, all of them. The town must have been in terrible shape by now.

Lightning grunted when an arrow suddenly hit her arm, her gaze going down to it when it pushed some kind of button. She blinked in surprise when her suit vanished, her helmet going away as well. She was back in her regular clothes, with her sword case behind her. She reached back and pulled out the weapon, looking at the sea of enemies before her. I know what I have to do. She had to make it to the core and put an end to the manufacturing of these clones.

Roxas looked over at Terra and nodded in agreement, his blue eyes on the older man. They really did have get going, to help the Princesses, the townspeople, and...Namine. Roxas turned on his feet, starting out of the computer room quickly. They had to get to town.

"Sorry, Riku," Sora apologized, starting out after Roxas and Terra. Kairi was out there, and so were the other Princesses. They had to get to town and fight off these clones, right away. There was no time to delay, even if he was worried about Lightning too.
Riku didn't respond, though he did glance out of the corner of his eye to see Aqua follow Sora out. So that just left him and Ven in the room with the computer. He wasn't sure if Ven was going to go or not, but he knew he didn't want to. He wanted to stay with Lightning...and try to help at least.

...I can't help Light, but I can help Terra and Aqua, Ventus thought. "Stay and try to help," he said, looking up to Riku once he made a decision. "Two of us staying here is pointless." He wished that wasn't the case, but...Lightning locked them out. If Riku could get past the firewall, then he could go back in and help. But there was no guarantee that would work.
"Yeah...be careful," Riku called, glancing over his shoulder at Ventus. He would try everything he could to get past the firewall, but if he couldn't... Riku wasn't sure what he would do.

"I will," Ven said with a faint nod, glancing at the computer before he turned and ran out of the room, needing to catch up to the rest of the group. He felt terrible for leaving Light, but he had no other choice. She wouldn't want him standing around anyway.

Riku brought up his hands and set them on both sides of the large keyboard. "Tron," he called, knowing his friend could hear him. "There's absolutely no way for me to get back into the Grid?"

"No, I'm afraid not."

"Is there any way I can at least talk to her...and see her?" Riku asked then, his tone low with disappointment and aggravation. He couldn't believe Light did this. Was she crazy?

"I can do that, yes. Just give me a moment."

Lightning growled in aggravation, jumping up in the air and then crashing down on her enemies. She stayed in her Ravager Paradigm, since she could do a lot of attacks that would take out large groups of enemies. She noticed some taking on her appearance, and her eyes widened when she caught her own spells getting thrown back at her. What are these things?! She grunted and shoved a clone away from her, making a break for it. She had to reach the core, before the clones overtook her and before her heart burst out of her chest.

Riku waited, his head lowered as his eyes closed. He couldn't believe that Lightning went behind his back and did this. They had a mutual agreement that she would stay home to rest. She was putting her life on the line, and he hated it.

"All set," Tron said after a minute. "Pulling up the Grid now."

Riku opened his eyes and looked to the screen, seeing the Grid appear on it immediately. His heart skipped a beat when he saw her, his Light, fighting off the clones. The sight made him curl his hands into fists.

"She'll be able to hear you, Riku. Speak whenever you're ready."

Lightning brought up her free hand and slugged one of Riku's clones, making him vanish with the hard punch. She exhaled a heavy breath and gripped her sword tightly. There were two different paths she could see; she didn't know which one to take to reach the core. She ducked to avoid a lone clone that ran at her, swinging her sword at his legs while she was down low and destroying him. Tron...I need some direction here. She was surrounded, and the clones would all run in for her soon enough.
Riku didn't speak at first, instead listening to Tron tell Lightning to take the path on the right to reach the core of the database. He could only watch her fight, knowing that he couldn't get in there to help. She made it that way on purpose, though he wasn't sure why. Light...why did you do this?
  • Author
Light briefly glanced at the sky, nodding faintly to Tron. She didn't know he wasn't the only one watching, but that was good for her; she needed to focus. She had some room in front of her, so she took two running steps forward and then did a flip, pressing her hands against the ground and then pushing off with enough strength to get her on the other side of the line of clones that had been blocking her. She grunted when she landed on one knee, immediately picking herself up and running down the path Tron told her to take.
Riku could only watch in silence, not saying anything for a minute. He just watched Lightning, wishing he could help. But...if he spoke, would he just distract her? He couldn't do that, in case she got hurt. But...he wanted her to know that he was there for her, as he promised and would promise for the rest of his life.

Lightning looked around this new area, slowing her pace to a walk despite how she knew this was a dire problem that needed to be taken care of immediately. She had to slow down; she felt terrible. And this area was empty of clones, so she needed to catch her breath. She slunk into the shadows and leaned her back against the wall, eyes shutting as she exhaled a shaky breath. C'mon, Light, get over this. Ignore your pain and keep going.
