Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Light looked up and saw the person standing right in front of the computer, facing her. "...Riku." That was all she could think, relieved to actually see him. Last time she saw him, the real him, she had been helping him escape Tron's world. It felt like so long ago.
Riku felt a relieved yet satisfied smirk appear on his face, the boy crossing the floor before he wrapped his arms around Lightning. "You're okay," he said in her ear, his eyes falling shut. She was alright.

Lightning wrapped her arms around Riku in return, eyes falling shut as she leaned against him. She let her head rest on his shoulder as she hummed softly, responding to him. She got out alive; that was all that mattered. It didn't matter so much right now that she just wanted to collapse because of the pain in her chest; she didn't want to bring it up.
Riku brought a hand up to cup the back of Lightning's head, feeling her soft hair against his fingers. The last time he saw her, she was in bed, and he left her to sleep some more that morning. And now she was here, having just fought off clones to save him and his friends. She did way too much.

Lightning fought the urge to collapse, knowing that it wouldn't be the best thing to ease Riku's worries after so much happened. Fainting now wouldn't be a good thing at all. She stayed where she was, eyes shut as she listened to Riku's breathing. It's okay. Everything's okay.
"Are you still hurt?" Riku asked after a moment, remembering what happened on the screen as he watched what happened within the database. He had been so scared...

Light furrowed her eyebrows at the question, glad Riku couldn't see her face. "Mm," she hummed in response to him, nodding slightly. Her heart was beating incredibly hard, and fast. It was the adrenaline that kept her going even through the pain, but now it was starting to wear off, and the pain was getting worse again.
Riku sighed softly, knowing why that was. Lightning pushed herself too hard, when she should have been resting. She was right when she said he would scold her; she could have died.

Lightning kept her eyes shut, hearing Riku's sigh. She knew what was to come now: the scolding. Not only had she come to Radiant Garden when she should have been resting, she fought a very hard battle, and prohibited Riku from helping her. She was prepared for a harsh scolding.
Riku pulled away a little, his eyes falling on Lightning's face as his hands lifted to her shoulders. He just stared at her, his eyebrows furrowing. He was angry with her, even if he was relieved that she was in his arms again, safe. But not entirely safe, since her heart was in worse shape now that she put herself through battle.

Light's hands came back down to her sides when Riku pulled back from the hug, the girl feeling his strong hands on her shoulders. She glanced up at his face but then shifted her gaze to his chest, seeing his anger. She was guilty, so she wouldn't protest any scolding he wanted to throw out at her.
"You're supposed to be back home, in Cocoon," Riku said lowly. He kept his aqua eyes on her, even though she wouldn't look at him. "This is nothing like Cocoon." Radiant Garden wasn't Cocoon at all.

Light nodded faintly without looking up. "I was feeling better, so I thought I'd come to watch the festivities unfold," she said softly, being honest. She hadn't predicted anything dangerous going on, not that she regretted coming and facing danger for the sake of her friends.
"But you didn't have to throw yourself into battle, Light!" Riku said then, his voice a little louder than before, to show how serious he was about this. It was too dangerous for her to do such a thing, especially with her heart condition. She could have died.

Yes I did, Lightning silently argued back, not responding verbally because she knew Riku wouldn't want to hear it. Everyone had been in serious trouble, and so had the town. She had to go in, heal them, and let them out to save the town. It was the only choice she thought she had.
"You nearly died, and I had to sit on the sidelines and watch!" Riku said, his hold on Lightning's shoulders tightening, but not to a painful degree. "You shouldn't have been in the database at all." She should have been at home, resting. Recovering.

I had to go in to solve the problem, Riku, Lightning silently returned. She had unlimited magic in her Ravager Paradigm; she could use a lot of distance attacks that would help her survive. She was the only person who could do such a thing and have the strength to get to the central processor. She knew she almost died in the process, but...
"You almost died..." Riku thought aloud, lowering his eyes from Lightning's face to the necklace she wore. "I almost lost you again." He fought his anger, knowing that scolding didn't entirely mean that he yelled at her the whole time. He had to try and be calm too. "...Do you know how scary that was?"
  • Author
Light nodded slightly, still not looking up at Riku's face. She knew how scary it was, because on her way to Riku, all she could picture was him falling to the clones. It terrified her, the idea of losing him. She knew that he would die for her, but he didn't seem to realize it worked both ways. She would die for him, too. Without hesitation.
"I love you, Light," Riku said then, lifting his eyes to her face again. "Because of that, I don't want you to get hurt. And having to watch it, and not be able to do a thing to help? It scared me." Really bad. He thought she was actually going to go with the clone of himself.

Again, Light nodded faintly without speaking, recognizing what Riku was saying and accepting his scolding without protest. If it helps, the firewall wasn't meant to just keep you out. She had believed that Darren at least was in the system, working at the core. She thought she was doing a good thing by trapping him in there, but he wasn't there in the first place, so her plan failed.
Riku looked at Lightning for a moment, but then he released her shoulders, sighing. He lifted a hand to the back of his head, running it over his shorter hair. Everything was supposed to be alright again. But it wasn't.

Lightning glanced over to the side towards the ground, not saying anything. There really wasn't much to say on her side of things; she was guilty and she knew it. And she wasn't sorry for going into the Grid. She was just sorry she worried Riku.

Riku turned around a little, looking back to the computer. "Thanks for your help, Tron," he said with a nod. "I owe you one." He saved Lightning, and that was more than Riku could ask for.

"Don't mention it."

Light was about to give Tron some gratitude as well, but the pain in her chest suddenly made her freeze up. She grunted, lifting both her hands to her chest and curling them into tight fists. She lowered her head and shut her eyes, fighting the urge to scream at the burning pain.
