Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning looked down at the ground, listening and forming a game-plan, like she always did. "We should split into groups and search the worlds Darren most likely is hiding in," she said. "And we'll need Kairi's group to be the biggest, for obvious reasons." There was strength in numbers. At least two people needed to be with her and protect her. She was sure Sora would want to be in that group.

"Put me in that group," Riku said, looking up from the ground to his two best friends. Everyone should have known he would be the first to volunteer, even if Sora was automatically going to be with Kairi. He wasn't leaving his best friend unprotected.

Kairi smiled weakly at Riku, nodding once to him. Thank you, she thought silently. She would definitely feel safe and protected with him and Sora travelling with her.

"Me too," Lightning said, looking up at Riku before she looked back to Kairi. "If that's alright with you, Kairi." She was surprised at the thoughtfulness, but she understood it after she thought about it for a moment. Kairi was in a lot of danger, and surely she wanted people she could trust protecting her. If she trusted Lightning enough to let her be a part of the group, great. If not...she didn't know what she'd do.
Kairi nodded without hesitation. "Of course," she said softly. Lightning was a trained soldier, so she was obviously someone that she'd be safe with. Of course, Riku loved her and trusted her, so Kairi did too. Plus, he probably wanted to keep an eye on her over the course of everything, which Kairi understood.

"Ven" caught Lightning nod slightly, but he shifted his gaze to the other blonde in the group. "What are you going to do, Namine?" he asked softly. Did she plan on staying behind, or was she going to come along with them?

Namine blinked at the question, glancing over at Ven before looking down towards the ground a little. "I hadn't thought about it," she admitted, faintly shaking her head. She had been worried enough about Kairi that she hadn't been focused on herself. What will I do?

"She'll be with me," Roxas said then, nodding once before looking to the girl he loved. Even if she wasn't a true target, he didn't want to take the chance. She had power, which meant she could be used as a tool by Darren and his friends. Roxas wasn't going to let that happen.

Terra looked over and caught Namine nod to Roxas, the girl looking a little relieved. "In that case, your group should have an extra person," he said. Namine wasn't a fighter, and the full weight of protecting her shouldn't have been on Roxas's shoulders. "Ven, you up for it?" He wanted to stay with Aqua.

"Yeah, of course," the boy said, giving his friends a thumbs-up and a smile. Good. So "Aqua" will be alone with Terra. This is going to work out well.

"Aqua" turned her focus to the oldest young man of the group, the real Aqua's significant other. "That leaves me and you, Terra," she said softly. They were a group themselves, which would work well. She could easily take him out if they were alone.

Terra looked over at Aqua, smiling weakly despite the circumstances. He nodded to her, glad they would be together. Even if she was a skilled fighter, he couldn't help but feel protective of her. He loved her, after all.
Riku saw Aqua return Terra's smile with a faint one of her own, but he looked to everyone else. "So, split up?" he asked lowly, getting back down to business. They needed to get going, before Darren and his friends came back for Kairi. They were going to play a small game of cat and mouse.

Sora nodded slightly. "Yeah, let's go," he said, looking around the group. It was time to end this, because things were already too extreme. Six of the seven Princesses were taken in one swoop; that was very, very bad. And Sora and his friends were nearly killed by the manikins. This situation was anything but good.
Kairi tightened her grip on Sora's hand, looking to him before seeing Riku nod in understanding. Her best friend turned away, probably going to summon his glider so they could leave. Kairi had to admit, though, that she was scared. The last time she was kidnapped for her title was because of Nathaniel, and the time before that, Maleficent. Neither ended well.

"Catch up with you guys in a few days," Terra said with a slight nod, turning and walking away from the group. He summoned his armor and his glider, not seeing Sora gently slip his hand out of Kairi's to summon his glider and armor. It was time for all of them to go.
Riku had his glider and armor already set, and he climbed on before turning his head to the woman he loved. She was coming with him. His eyes also caught Roxas summon his glider, and Aqua get onto hers. They were all splitting up, but they'd be alright. Everyone had their strengths, with someone to back them up on their weaknesses.

Lightning looked over when she felt Riku's gaze on her, but she shook her head slightly. "Maybe Kairi should ride with you," she advised. His glider was the safest for two passengers. She could either go on Sora's glider or gather the strength to summon and ride Odin.

Behind his mask, Riku stared at Lightning, pondering the option. But...Kairi would be safer with him than on Sora's glider. "Kairi," he said, getting his friend's attention. "C'mon. You're riding with me."

Kairi nodded once and started over towards Riku, climbing on behind him. She secured her hold on him, her arms wrapped around his midsection. She would be okay. She just had to keep telling herself that.

Lightning turned her head towards Sora, who was looking behind her to see Kairi get on board with Riku. But then he motioned for Light to come join him, so she did, stepping onto the back of his glider and getting a secure hold on him. She was glad he offered; she didn't have the strength to summon Odin.
Because her "big brother" was the one with her, Kairi stayed calm as Riku lifted his glider higher in the air. She looked over to Sora and Lightning, already seeing that Roxas and Namine were gone, and Aqua was just now leaving through a summoned portal. They would be next, though she wasn't really sure where they were going. Regardless, she would be safe.

Two days later...

The sun was just rising in the Pride Lands, not that Lightning noticed. She was still knocked out as she laid on the ground, needing more rest than she was getting to let her heart recover. She was hurting more often and worse than before; sometimes, Riku had to carry her on his back. Thankfully, they weren't ambushed at any time, and there weren't many Heartless around. But still, Light didn't like being dead weight. She had to get it together and be strong enough to protect Kairi.

As usual, Riku was up by dawn. Lightning's head was currently in his lap, the boy leaned against a lone tree in the area. He looked out at the sunrise, missing this kind of view since the Islands were destroyed. But once things were settled with Darren, he could go back. But Light... Riku looked down at her, his hand resting on her arm as it had been since he woke up. He was going to miss her; she had a life in Cocoon after all. She couldn't leave that behind to stay with him.

Light exhaled a soft breath through her nose, nothing in her sleep making her tense up and feel pain. This was the only time when she got to be free of pain; of course she was going to subconsciously cling to it. But she was still a soldier, trained to wake up early in the morning. She would wake up soon.
Kairi rested in the grass, curled up on her side next to Sora. The last two days had been tough, since they'd constantly been on their feet. But she didn't complain. Her friends were doing this half because of her, so she had to be strong too. She couldn't be dead weight.

Like Riku, Sora was also awake, the boy sitting by the girl he loved and watching the sunrise. He wasn't groggy like he normally was, serious about saving the Princesses and protecting Kairi. He wouldn't fail her, nor would he let Riku feel like he was carrying all the weight in the group. He had enough worries with Lightning.
Riku looked to his best friend, but then he let his eyes rest on the sunrise again. "You think, once things settle down, we'll be able to go back home?" he asked, his voice quiet so he didn't wake up Light or Kairi. He missed the beach, and the Paopu tree. Home. He missed home, even though he felt he had another with the one he loved.

Sora looked over at Riku, surprised at the random question. But..."I don't see why not," he responded softly. Who else would try to keep them away? All their other enemies were already taken care of, as far as Sora knew. Nobody was going to keep them away from their home any longer.
