Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Terra's Keyblade vanished as he headed over to Sora, Aqua and Roxas a little bit in front of him. He could definitely tell something was off, even if he didn't know Sora too well. Surely he would figure out what the problem was now that they could talk freely.

Aqua slowed her pace to a halt when she was near Sora, standing up next to him and looking down at him in sadness. She didn't say anything, mostly because Roxas beat her to it when he came over.

Roxas knelt down next to Sora, reaching up and taking his helmet off so he could see his best friend better. His blue eyes found the pile of debris Sora was staring at, and he was slightly confused. "...What's going on?" he asked, his gaze going back to Sora.

Sora noticed the three people standing around him, and he turned to face Roxas to answer the question that he just spoke. "Vanitas...shattered my Keyblade," he said weakly. It was unbelievable. Sora really hoped this was a nightmare, but the aches he felt from battle told him that this was reality.

Roxas's eyes grew in bewilderment. What? "...Shattered?" he repeated, looking up at Aqua for proof. She was here with Sora earlier. Did she hear this too?

Aqua nodded slowly, confirming that Sora was indeed correct. His Keyblade had been destroyed.

"That's possible?" Terra asked, turning his head to look at Aqua. He had never heard of anything like this occurring, and it was a bit...unnerving. How had this happened?
"Unfortunately," Aqua said to Terra, looking at him as she nodded again. "Sora's power came from his friends, as well as his source of Light. Some...things happened that shrouded that Light from his view and his power disappeared. It made his Keyblade weaker, and it just fell apart." Her head turned back to look at the boy and Roxas, still speaking to Terra. "Master Eraqus told me about it after the Exam. That was when he told me to never lose you and Ven," Aqua said, "or my Light."

Sora looked at the ashes on the ground, knowing that Aqua had warned him of this. She had said that he wouldn't have been able to fight without his Light forever, and unfortunately, he hadn't been able to stay strong enough until he made up with Riku and Kairi. And now, it would be too late for his Keyblade. It was broken, and so was his heart. What was going to happen now?

Roxas shook his head. "No problem," he said, his eyes going from Aqua to Sora as he addressed him. "You can just use mine." He summoned Oathkeeper to his hand as he remained knelt down beside his friend. He turned the blade by the handle, that way Sora could take it as he held it out for him.

Aqua opened her mouth to speak, but no words came out. Even if Roxas was trying to be a good friend and support system, there was a problem. That wouldn't work...

Sora saw Roxas hold the weapon out in front of him, and he looked down at it. He used to use that blade a lot, to remind himself of who he was fighting for. He wordlessly lifted a hand and gripped the weapon by the hilt, aware that Roxas was still holding onto it as well.
Roxas let go of the Keyblade, his hand slowly coming back to his side. He felt himself smile a little when the blade didn't leave Sora's grasp. That was a good sign, right?

Sora kept his eyes on Oathkeeper, but after a second or two, it faded out of his grasp and he was empty handed. He hadn't summoned it away...And when it had been in his grasp, he felt as if he had no real control over it. He couldn't wield a Keyblade anymore.

Roxas's eyes widened, the boy blinking in shock down at Oathkeeper when he felt the weight back in his own hand. "Wait..." he said, looking at Sora's empty hand and then at the weapon. What...?

Aqua lifted her helmet off her head, tucking it under her arm as she stepped closer to both boys. She set a hand on Roxas's shoulder, seeing his shocked expression. "I'm sorry, Roxas, but it doesn't work that easily," she said. Her eyes then moved to Sora. "His Keyblade's gone...and so is the power to wield it."

Sora felt a few gazes on him, but he didn't care. He hung his head a little, eyes shutting in sadness. That was what he had figured, but he hoped that Roxas's plan really would work. What was he supposed to do if he couldn't wield the Keyblade?
Roxas's eyes lingered on Aqua before he turned his head to look at his best friend. Aww, man, he thought, disappointed. He lowered his sight to the ground, summoning Oathkeeper away. Sora couldn't wield the Keyblade anymore?
  • Author
"Any way we can help him?" Terra asked Aqua softly, though his voice was audible to everyone. This wasn't good...at all. Sora wielded the Keyblade for the Realm of Light, and if he was without it, then the worlds were in danger.

Aqua took her hand back from Roxas's shoulder, standing up straight. Her eyes found Terra, and she shrugged. "I'm not really sure..." she answered honestly. "But the only way I can think of is if he finds his Light again, and he reclaims the faith he had before."

Faith? Roxas thought, confused for a second. But then he figured it out; Aqua was talking about Sora's source of power, which was his friends. And it wasn't just him and Namine, but Kairi and Riku too. He lost them...didn't he?

  • Author
It may already be too late for that, Terra said, glancing at the ashes on the ground by Sora. He wasn't so sure that the Keyblade could be regained that easily. But he nodded slightly anyway and looked back to Aqua. "Well, there's no point pondering over it here," he said. "Let's head home."
Roxas lifted his head to gaze at the people still standing. "But, how will Sora get back? If he doesn't have a Keyblade anymore, he can't summon a Glider," he pointed out. What would they have to do?
  • Author

Thanks for pointing that out, Roxas, Sora thought, though he didn't say anything aloud. He didn't have the Keyblade, and he never would again, would he? But...he couldn't accept that. He had to get it back!

Terra thought about it, but he came up with an easily solution. "He could just ride with one of us," he said, looking to Aqua and Roxas. He still had his armor, so he would be fine in space.

"Mm," Aqua agreed with a small nod. She turned her eyes to the boy then, looking down at him. "It's your choice, Sora." She was referring to who he would ride along with back to the Islands. They should probably get going right away, that way they could work to getting his weapon back as soon as possible.

Sora looked up at Aqua when she spoke to him before he glanced over at Terra. "Which ever you guys think is easier," he said softly. He really didn't want to be in charge of decision making right now, since he could tell he was still in slight shock.
Aqua smiled weakly. "All right then. You'll ride with me," she told Sora softly. She had enough room on her Glider for him too, so it wouldn't be a problem.

Sora nodded slightly, his eyes finding Aqua's. At this point, he forgot about all the trouble that he had with her lately, and her taking advantage of her title. That was nothing, compared to him losing his Keyblade. At that thought, he set his hands on the ground and rose to his feet, ignoring how stiff he felt in his armor. But where was his helmet?
Roxas rose to his feet as well, picking up his helmet. He then put it back on over his head, adjusting it so it was secure. It was time to go home.

Sora glanced over the area where he fought Vanitas, but he didn't see it anywhere. Oh well; he could survive without it. Hopefully it wouldn't be a very bumpy ride back.
