Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Kairi was forced back a few feet from Sora's shove, not thinking much of it at the time. But she didn't have long to dwell on it anyway, hearing someone call to her from their spot on top of a few rocks not too far off.

"Hey, Princess!" Darren called, pulling an arrow back. "Hope you don't mind the show!" He then released one of his arrows, aiming for one of the three warriors that traveled with the Princess for the past few days.

Lightning grunted at the arrow, fortunate that it bounced off her shoulder armor. She saw that Gual and Rena were both ganging up on Sora, which meant he wouldn't be able to protect Kairi. She ran over to the girl, standing between her and Darren while "Ven" went to join the fight against Riku. You're not getting to her, her vicious gaze seemed to say, pale blue eyes piercing Darren.
Kairi wasn't sure what to do, her wide eyes darting from the boy she loved to her best friend, who was fighting both Ven and Aqua's clones. But then she looked to Darren, seeing him point his arrow at Lightning. No...this isn't happening...

Lightning shifted Paradigms to become a Synergist, her gaze silently daring Darren to release that arrow. It wouldn't hit her, and it wouldn't hit Kairi, either. Her shield would be big enough to cover the both of them.

Riku saw Darren pull back his arrow, and just as he released it, he shot Dark Aura orbs at the teen. He heard him cry out, but Riku suddenly got thrown back. He landed roughly on his back, Aqua's clone having just swung at his chest, and hard.

"Riku!" Kairi cried instantly, taking a small step toward her best friend. No, this couldn't be happening. Not because of her!

Lightning reached out with her free hand and grabbed Kairi's arm automatically, pulling on it so that she was standing behind her again. The shield had already deflected Darren's arrow, but now her concern was for Riku. She shifted her blade into a gun and shot at the clones, also keeping a close eye on all her other enemies. We can't win this fight...

"Lightning! Get Kairi out of here!" Sora cried, grunting when Rena's sword scraped his arm. He couldn't get to Kairi himself right now, but Lightning was perfectly capable of keeping her safe. He hated to be separated from her, but he had no choice. This was the only way to keep her safe.

"No, Sora, wait!" Kairi cried, though Lightning's grip on her arm was strong enough to keep her in her place. She didn't want to leave Sora or Riku behind! She needed to stay with them!

Riku grunted, still on his back as he fought to keep Aqua's blade away from him. He held his Keyblade horizontally with both hands, his arms shaking. Sora was right; Kairi had to get out of here. "Light, go!" he ordered. "Go, now!"

Lightning grunted, knowing there was no time to hesitate or question orders. "Get ready for some smoke!" she warned, putting her sword away and quickly reaching into the bag on her leg. She pulled out a smoke bomb, throwing it at the ground where it exploded and suddenly covered the whole area in smoke. She then held Kairi's arm more tightly and started to lead her away at a run. You better make it out of this alive, Riku, and Sora.
Kairi grunted when she got tugged, though she kept up with Lightning the best she could. The place was covered in smoke, and she could hardly see anything, but she trusted Lightning to lead her to safety. But...Sora! And Riku!

Lightning and Kairi made it out of the smoke, the young woman not hearing nor seeing anyone following them. Good. Odin, she silently thought, summoning her Eidolon. Odin came down out of the sky in the form of a horse, Lightning stopping Kairi when he was on the ground beside them, kneeling down so Kairi could get on. "Behind me," she said to the Princess, getting up on Odin and offering a hand to assist Kairi when she was seated. They had to go.
Kairi took Lightning's hand and got onto Odin, sitting behind her. She'd never seen anything like this, like Odin, but she learned not to question anything anymore. She wrapped her arms around Light without thinking about it, knowing that they were about to run away from the fight.

Lightning glanced over her shoulder at the group, seeing the smoke starting to disappear. You make it out of this alive, you two hear me?! she wanted to holler. But instead, she focused on a trick she taught herself and summoned a portal, spurring Odin on silently. The horse ran through the portal in front of her and the three of them reappeared outside the Pride Lands, Odin "running" through space to get away from the world.
Kairi looked behind her, back at the Pridelands. Sora...Riku. She hoped they would be alright, and if not, she would never forgive herself for this happening. Even if it wasn't directly her fault, she was the one Darren and the others were after. She was partially responsible.

Sora and Riku will keep them in the Pride Lands as long as possible to ensure our escape, Lightning thought, not glancing back. It would only cause more pain to her, mentally. So we need to find a place to lay low and come up with a new game plan. There was only one place Lightning could think of, a place where she sought refuge before. She shifted Odin's course and started towards that world, not taking her time to get there. She didn't know what would happen with Sora and Riku, but they wouldn't die. The other Keybladers weren't killed off.
Kairi faced forward again, though she didn't necessarily look at anything. She hoped Sora and Riku were alright, but Darren and the others... They were tough, especially if they managed to get the other Princesses and her friends.

"They'll get taken in, not killed," Lightning said, thinking of Riku and Sora. There was no doubt in her mind that they would lose the battle. Hopefully they could take down at least the clones while they were there, but in the end, they'd fall. But at least Kairi was safe for now, and she was positive the boys wouldn't die.
"Why do you think they're taking them hostage, and not just getting rid of them?" Kairi managed to ask, though it was difficult to even voice that question. Regardless, she wanted to know someone else's opinion. She thought they were using her friends as bait, or possibly for power. Whatever the case, Kairi didn't like it.

Light thought about it a few moments, pretty good at coming up with logical conclusions because she was an excellent soldier. "I'm sure it has something to do with the clones. I think...the clones can copy attacks from the person they're a copy of. So maybe they're trying to find a way to help their clones gain power." The technique was something she noticed when she was in Tron's computer world the other day.
Kairi didn't really know what to say, so she kept her mouth shut. Take powers? It made sense. Of course, she hoped it didn't happen, and that her friends were alright. But...she wouldn't know until it was over, would she?

"What I don't understand is why they need the clones now, after taking most of the other Princesses," Lightning said, mostly speaking to herself. "Muscle can come in handy, but this isn't just some side-quest..." Unfortunately, she didn't have enough information to piece the rest together. But it was a start.
Kairi still didn't speak, not finding the need to. All she wanted was for this all to go away, but that was impossible right now. Would it even matter what she wanted?

The two girls rode in silence for a while, Lightning not speaking again until their destination was in sight. "Don't worry, Kairi," she said calmly. "They won't get a hold of you and accomplish their goal." And I'm busting everyone out of their stronghold as soon as I come up with a plan. She rode into the Land of Departure's atmosphere, this being the safe haven she thought of earlier.
"But...what about Sora...and Riku?" And the others? That was what Kairi was really worried about. If she had to give up herself to make sure they were okay, she wanted to do it. She couldn't have people risking their lives for her anymore.

Lightning's hands curled into fists at the mention of her boyfriend, who she loved with everything within her. "Once I find a safe place to hide you, I'll track down Darren. The others will be wherever he is." She would have to fight off three at once, and in her condition, she didn't think she could do it. Turn this into a battle of wits, Light. You can outsmart them. She knew she could.
Kairi hummed softly, but otherwise didn't respond. She looked out at the world they were in, one she didn't recognize. She trusted Light, so this place must have been safe. At least for now.
