A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

"I know that," Claire said softly without shifting her gaze. But that didn't change her opinion. Riku's home was Destiny Islands, and that was where he was meant to be. But she was a nomad in a lot of ways, even if she did have a life here. Should she leave the place she called home and loved to be with the person she loved?

Riku tossed the seashell away, seeing it land in a pit of sand not too far off. "So that only leaves me one choice," he said then, turning his gaze to look at the person he loved. "I come visit." That was what it was, wasn't it? He had to come visit Cocoon, not live here.

Light's eyes followed the shell, her eyes staying on it even after it landed. "No," she disagreed softly. "There's one other option." And that was for her to move to Destiny Islands, with him. Even if she didn't have a home there.

"...Don't even think about it," Riku said lowly, his eyebrows furrowing. He knew what she was thinking, and he wasn't about to let her do that. She had a life here, friends and family, a job. She wasn't about to ditch it for him.

"Too late." Lightning was already thinking about it, and considering it. How could she not, since Riku was also considering giving up his life for her? If he could do it, then so could she.

"I won't let you do it," Riku said then, frowning. "You won't give up your life for me. You have Serah still, and the Corps, and Hope. You're not leaving it all behind." He knew Lightning cared about every single one of those things, so he wasn't about to let her drop it just like that. Especially for him. He wasn't worth it.

Lightning rolled her eyes slightly. "Serah's married off, the Corps will be suspicious of me for a while, and Hope has his own family," she said, trying to list reasons why she could leave her life. She had to, for her own benefit and for Riku's.

"That doesn't mean they won't want you around," Riku said, facing forward again. He wanted her around, but...he had a way of seeing her. The others didn't. They didn't know how to leave this world, when he could.

It means that I won't intrude on their lives, Riku, Lightning silently retorted. She could come back and visit once in a while; if she stayed here, she still wouldn't see them too often. She'd make herself busy with work to fill the time.

"And you worked hard for your place in the Guardian Corps," Riku continued then. "I don't want you giving that up for me." As much as he loved her and wanted to be with her, the living situation would have to be different for now. They would figure it out later. Or so he hoped.

Light shrugged faintly. "At the end of the day, what's so great about being ranked an Officer in the Corps?" Nothing, really. There were so many bigger things out there, so many crises and so many worlds out there. Her life seemed petty compared to it all.

Riku didn't know what to say to that, just staring forward. Light was stubborn, and sometimes he loved her for it. But what if she regretted leaving and staying with him? He wouldn't be okay with that.

Lightning leaned back in the sand, lying on her back and looking up at the sky that was colorful because the sun was setting. She didn't want to admit it, but she did enjoy her job in the Corps. She was a natural leader, and she knew she was good at training others. But...She didn't want that life in exchange for Riku, no matter how much she loved it.

"So that's it?" Riku asked, keeping his eyes trained forward on the sunset. "You're throwing away everything?" For me? He thought it was stupid, no matter how much he loved Lightning. He didn't think that he was worth it.

Lightning shut her eyes, sighing a soft breath. She didn't like to think of it as throwing it all away, but that was what she would do, if she chose to. She loved Riku, but she loved her life in Cocoon too. What was she supposed to do?

"...I love you, y'know," Riku said then, lowering his eyes to the sand. "Which means I want the best for you. I don't think this is it." And by "this", he meant her idea of throwing it all away. Yeah, it would be hard for them to be apart, but it would be that much better when he came to visit her. That was at least how he saw it.

"You don't know that, though," Lightning said softly, referring to what was best for her. She didn't want to be separated from Riku again; it seemed like there was always trouble whenever that happened. She wanted to be with him.

"Okay," Riku said after a second, nodding. "Then what's best for you, Light?" He was genuinely interested, because he wanted to know. He meant what he said; he did want the best for her. He just didn't want her making a mistake.

Light opened her eyes, looking up at the sky. "...I don't know." She didn't know what was best for her right now; she was going to be torn between two worlds, and two families. Riku had to remember that Ven was still going to be in Destiny Islands, and she doubted he would move to Cocoon to be with her.

Riku didn't know what to say to that. He figured she would have at least had an idea, but things were messy recently. He would give Light a break.

"I'll need some time to think about it," Lightning said softly. There were advantages and disadvantages to both places, and she had a lot to consider before she made her final choice.

"Mm," Riku hummed with a faint nod. He figured that, and he would give her the space. He needed to head back to Traverse Town and gather up everyone to move back to the Islands anyway, after they checked it out, of course. They would have to do that soon.

Lightning sat upright after a few moments, seeing how Riku wasn't looking at her. She moved over closer to him and sat behind him on her knees, her arms wrapping around his upper torso as she lightly hugged him. For now, I just want to be with you.

Riku lifted his hands to Lightning's arms, lowering his lips to kiss one of them lightly. He pulled back and continued looking forward, taking in the close proximity between them while he could. He would be busy soon, and wouldn't have time to be with her. Unfortunately.

Lightning slouched down a little and let the side of her head rest on Riku's shoulder, her eyes shutting as her forehead lightly touched his neck. She didn't care about the sunset, one she had seen a million times already. She just cared about Riku.
